I know that this is the direction Walmart has chosen to go BUT I personally dislike the way they are doing business. I only go there if I am lazy and then kick myself for stopping by. I am not an employee of Walmart, I do not get an employee discount. So my question to you is why do I shop there if I do the work and take others jobs? I don't want to ring up my groceries, don't want to bag them, get checked as I leave your store. I don't mind people who are other than US citizens HOWEVER I expect people who can speak English when I ask a question in your store. If you want US dollars then pay English speaking people who can give "CUSTOMER SERVICE " and represent your store. I have never seen your groceries go down in price ever, always up! read more

I have held off on making a review until now because I like to ensure before I obliterate somebody publicly, that my findings are accurate and true. Let me first start by relaying an experience I had at this location with my elderly mom in April of 2025. We were in the shoe department and my mom suddenly lost her balance and fell. She was unable to stop herself and violently cracked her head open on the concrete floor. I rushed over to her to provide assistance and began screaming for help. One associate showed up and shortly after, someone of a manager looking status showed up with an iPad and instantly asked me to start filling out an accident report. I asked her if she was crazy because clearly my mom needed assistance and I would like them to call 911. She persisted with the request for the accident report, so annoyed, I began to fill it out on her iPad while I sat behind my mom trying to hold her up because she looked like she was going to pass out. She was bleeding from the head. The other associate brought a motorized cart and helped me get her into the cart. Because nobody bothered to call Emergency Services even after I requested it two separate times, I drove her to the emergency room myself. I would say that this probably wasted about 20 minutes of valuable time and I mentioned that because my mom is still feeling the effects of her fall 8 months later. When I reached out to Walmart corporate, they were unwilling to do anything. I didn't even receive what I would consider to be well wishes for recovery. I tell the story now because something very similar happened to another individual at the same location yesterday. She was also elderly and fell and broke her clavicle. Supposedly, nobody came to help her as well and she ended up having to take her own groceries out to her car. We have also witnessed another incident where an elderly woman fell just outside the store in the crosswalk of the parking lot. People were crowded around her and thankfully somebody called emergency services, but in the meantime, there was not one single Walmart badge to be found. This location, if you are not familiar with it, is located in a predominantly retirement community. It is an unfortunate fact that we encounter elderly individuals that fall relatively frequently in this community. It is absolutely abhorrent and disgusting that a large retailer like Walmart cannot provide its customers with at least somewhat respectable assistance. I don't know if this is just an issue locally on the individuals that this location is hiring as employees or if this is a company-wide deficiency, but regardless, it is unacceptable. I am 47 years old and it is wildly depressing to consider the future of my husband and I when we can see now that compassion and basic human decency isn't evident. This location needs to do much, much better... otherwise, I suspect they will have a sizeable lawsuit in their future. read more

The very kind and helpful staff at the automotive section of Walmart really saved our bacon! Literally, since we had baked on asphalt on one front tire that meant that any speed we drove over 60 resulted in a shimmy shake worthy of my sister Kate! After trying to remove the asphalt by driving one tire on the rumble strip, we exited the freeway and sought help. The tire store at the truck stop was useless, so we Yelped tires and located the Walmart automotive center. It was located behind the store so it was not visible from the street. After a few minutes of explanation they pulled the car into the tire bay. The almost new tire was fine, just coated in one spot with lumpy asphalt! We didn't need a new tire! While waiting inside the store we Googled asphalt removal and discovered the good old WD -40would do the job! We had to back out of the tire bay since the store couldn't use the product on the tire. We bought the large regular formula and sprayed down the tire. And waited a while...like ten minutes. The poet gooey asphalt started to melt, and we were able to drive away, shedding asphalt with every rotation of the wheel! Thanks Walmart for being so honest! read more

Driving up to Utah we stopped at this Walmart for some basic food and necessities. First impression was that it was really clean and organized. It was a super center so pretty big and had practically anything you could need. The prices were a little higher on items than I expected but that is probably more tied to the location rather than the store itself. Grocery section was well stocked along with other section we walked by. The inky are that seems pretty bare was the book section. Self check out was super easy and we were quickly on our way. Goods option to pick up essentials if you find yourself near Mesquite. read more

This is about Jace in electronics . We needed to make copies of a rare picture and are walking dead in the digital world (we're both 80). We solicited help from Jace and he was so amazing! It was kind of busy and our request presented some complications. It was difficult but he never gave up , just kept on trying with good humor and a positive attitude while at the same time not overlooking for a minute the needs of other costumers . After much trying he overcame all challenges and delivered a gem. Two things stand out to me about this Walmart that I have not seen elsewhere: Upbeat music playing in the parking lot and covered parking for the pick up area. T hat's right, as I was walking into the store, I heard music playing-and not from a parked car that was blasting tunes annoyingly. Nope, it was pumped through speakers on the building. It immediately put me into a good mood, ready for my shopping experience. I also noticed a section of the parking lot that was covered. My first thought was "covered parking for the Walmart VIPs....how do you aspire to that level of shopper to get to park there?" Then I realized it was for the grocery pick up. Makes sense-when you pick up your groceries, you stay in your car. And during the hot summer months, that could get toasty. The covered parking is a nice touch. Beyond those two things, nothing really stood out to me. The layout is slightly different than the store close to my home-but I've noticed that each location varies slightly. I'm curious why that is? Maybe there are analytics about the shopping habits in each city that impact how the store is laid out? Whatever it is, doesn't matter. I'll be back, possibly to pick up my groceries in the covered parking, with my windows down jamming to your music. read more

Today at around 3 o'clock My girlfriend and I went into shop as we normally do. We walked in and were properly and nicely greeted by the door greeter. Very nice young lady I may add. So far spending up to a little bit over $200 today. We happened to pick up an item that was not listed in their system (cat collar) and we were told that we could not purchase it. We then ask for a supervisor to give us a price so we could purchase it at whatever cost they deemed necessary. When such supervisor by the name of Arnold showed up he immediately told us that he could not sell us this item in Spanish. Just because we are slightly tanned does not automatically mean we speak Spanish. Until we give you some kind of signal or insinuation that we do not understand English then you can try and accommodate us. We both found it highly offensive that he assumed our ignorance. I asked if he could scan another of equal value, He then repeated "I cannot sell you this item" louder. We asked why it was put out in the first place. Responded " I cannot sell u this item". 3rd time BTW. Louder! (No patience) I am not sure if my American Flag hat along with my American patriotic T-shirt and my open carry side arm offended him. But he then proceeded to tell me that my weapon was not allowed per Walmart policy. I explained to Arnold that we are already leaving and that there was no sign showing no guns allowed. The door greeter saw my weapon and said hello without batting an eye. I should have been advised at the door. Multiple employees seen me. Especially with a purchase in electronics And the assistance in the pet area.. During this whole time Arnold was talking in a rude manner and getting louder. Then walked away rudely while talking loudly saying "WELL I'M TELLING YOU NOW". I dont think he liked my disabled veteran bracelet or my American flag hat along with my patriotic shirt not to mention my second Ammendment sidearm. Maybe its cause we responded in English. Everything about this store from it's layout, operation, inventory, and staff is awful. During operation there are dozens of employees stocking shelves blocking the narrow isles and preventing access. Even so, they are frequently out of key items. The inventory is the lowest quality. The self checkout is a disaster. Stacks of junky items block the customers view. The plastic bags stick together and tear easily. The staff hovers around annoyingly. The scanners malfunction frequently and correcting issues is time consuming. The staff are ignorant, not helpful, and hover around like gadflies. I have dozens of specific examples but I'll list only a few. I asked attendant if I could purchase water softener salt. She brought their inventory book and I pointed to type I wanted. She said they didn't carry it. I said it was on a palette out front. She wouldn't ring it up. I took a photo and sent an email to management. They said it would be corrected. A couple months later, it occurred again. Now I buy it online to avoid the headache. I wanted to buy a bottle of wine so I asked the attendant to approve the sale. I offered my ID but she said she wanted to me to remove my sun glasses so she could see my eyes. I tried scanning tag on celery stalk using stationary and handheld scanner five times each but wouldn't work. I asked attendant for help and told her what I had done. She then did the EXACT same thing and it didn't work, then took 10 minutes to figure out how to enter code manually. Today was another self checkout disaster. I now shop at Smith's. What an improvement. They have cashiers and bag people and much better selection. read more

Hit this store Friday afternoon, 12/ 21 for a variety of goods, one of them an impulse buy of a bulky box set of pots and pans. We had taken one of the smaller carts as "we weren't going to buy much". The darn thing ended up loaded to the gills, with the big box of pots perched precariously on the front. As we were going out, one of the employees (Tammy) offered to carry it out. We demurred, but she grabbed another empty cart and said "Lead the way, I'm on my break anyway." Well, we get out to the lot and danged if we can remember where we parked the car. (Yet another Senior Moment). She said "If you have Smart Keys, give it to me and I'll walk up and down the lanes, pressing the horn icon until we find it." Fifteen minutes later we do, one lane over and facing a direction distinctly different from what I "remembered". I apologized for wasting her break time, but she blew it off as "It happens to me too." Something you don't expect nowadays. I wrote the manager about this. read more

I went to the pharmacy to buy diabetic needles for my dog,they told me that the did not have that kind but they had another brand but the same needle so I paid and went to the car and called my wife and she exploded when I told her the price so I went to return them and they told me not until the virus is over,I told my neighbor when I returned home what happened and she is a diabetic also and she says they pull that trick on her Everytime she goes there,they want you to pay $40 versus $11.88 and then I went to Smith's and they told me make sure because you cannot return them which Walmart does not tell you otherwise I would not have taken them,so be careful when you buy things from there pharmacy. read more

I was shooting up to the sticks of Utah one fine evening when after milling it around in my head from Vegas to Mesquite, I was in need of a few things first. Some chow, an insulated, soft sided cooler, and fishing clippers. Walmart....that's what I needed. Having already been to the location in St. George, Ut.....I knew that I had to pay this particular location in the name of science. Science? Yes...every location is a a petri dish of humanity. A hairy mole located on the vein one would put their thumb on to check the pulse of the community. I rolled in to a somewhat empty parking lot several hours after sundown. That being said, there was still some interesting characters in the parking lot. Not really heading in but not really heading out either. Threat assessment at the time revealed nothing and so, in I went. Not the same layout I am accustomed to but still somewhat easy to navigate. The lack of inconsiderate shoppers was also a bonus. When it was all said and down....I found everything I was looking for! Damn Walmart! How I love to hate you and hate to love you! If your looking for supplies on the border of Nevada and Arizona and can't wait until Utah.....this is the place for you! read more

Very disappointed in the pharmacy every time we need meds filled and we go to this pharmacy they either are out of a prescription and it's on back order or they only have enough meds to fill a partial script and it's only at this Walmart every time, unbelievable. read more

It also has a lot of eateries around it and is very close to my go-to hotel, Casablanca. Plus it has a good selection of adult beverages at decent prices. Thanks to the tire center for their professional service and willingness to take on the big jobs. We were traveling in our 28 ft. RV towing a 20 ft. Trailer. We had travelled 1,000 miles when our tires stated to blow. We had 3 blow outs in a 60 mile stretch in Utah. We were desperately trying to find someone who would change out our tires before the heat wave and more tires blew. Saint George Walmart would not do the work. They claimed that they did not have a jack large enough (what a load of poop). Thank goodness for Mesquite Walmart! They were willing to do the job and were great to deal with!! read more

I drove 45 min. to buy groceries only to find the important items did not come home with me? The checker put one item in each bag and I thought I had gotten everything, but, I did not? She was not busy at all, I was walking slow to the door, so there was plenty of time to catch me, but no one did. I tried to call the store numerous times when I returned home, but, they did not answer. I tried to call this morning, same thing. I tried calling the Electronics Dept. in hopes they would be able to transfer me to a Superviser or store Manager, but, after several rings someone picked the phone up and set it down w/o even the courtesy of answering the call. So far, the only person I was happy with was the Door Greeter! Now, if I want to try to get the rest of my groceries and other items I will need to drive another 45 minutes each way. What an expensive hassle. It may sound like I should have checked the carousel more carefully, I normally do self checkout, but, honestly, who puts one item in each bag? I'm not sure they have a Manager at this time since my receipt says: TBD, but, I'm going to find out. read more

Where to start? Ok since we live very rural, Walmart is often the only option for things. Now we have used the optical department for many years and they are FABULOUS! The main superstore has some very BIG issues however. Let's start with one particular stocking person who followed me around the door telling me I was beautiful and had a nice ass. Scary! Then one cashier who looked so very normal yet proceeded to have a conversation about her racial intolerance, brought on by my purchase of banana leaves. Another time I avoided her line and heard her talking again about inappropriate topics, making the customer very uncomfortable. Another checker loudly told us about her disdain for the unruly children in the line behind her (we were in the 20 item line and they were right next to her with no shelf 'sound' barrier). On several occasions we have witnessed people in their 40's each being carded for one purchase, a women and her child in the 109 degree weather had to run to the car whike in the express check out line we and her husband, with his ID waited for her return. This employee and many others are unclear on Walmart carding policy. I told her I checked on this after this happened to my husband and myself and it was not Walmart policy where she showed me the sign... Which again I said does not support her carding 2 adults for one purchase. Another time they saw someone enter with another possibly 21 year old so when the one checked out alone, they actually paged the others to be carded. Yes, they were over 21. Another time a friend who had ID and her nursing license with her & 23 was not believed and refused purchase of beer. And yes, 2 other occasions saw parents declined alcohol purchases because they had their kids with them. The latest, I purchased a set of plates. Got home one box inside was damaged, one bowl chipped. These plates have been really hard to find with few in stock in that store. I called customer service and was told I had to bring back (40 minutes away) the whole set. They would go through the whole new one and make sure the new one was good... Dumb, but Ok fine... I ask, Can you hold it for me, I'll be up tomorrow? "No, it's first come first serve." Ok wait, I was first come and first serve and it was damaged, I think you can hold the box since I'll have to spend gas and a nearly an hour and a half in driving, with no guarantee the plates will be there.... to which I'm ignored and the guy repeats instead, " we'll go through the plates one by one....." yeah if you have it! So, instead I looked online, it said it was in and I could buy for pick up in a couple days. So, I did that, I'll go pick it up, go to my car exchange the chipped item and return it directly! read more

I asked my cashier if over night parking was allowed, and she said no one says anything, she calls it the WalMart KOA. My wife and I love Walmart stores, clean, good prices, friendly staff. The Mesquite NV Walmart where we live is the exception. This is the worst managed Walmart we have ever shopped in. Rarely more than 2 regular check stands are open no matter how long the lines happen to be. The food department is so bad Walmart management needs to take at hard look at this store. Basic items out of stock for weeks at a time, dairy products with older expiration dates placed behind newer items. The shelves are "fronted" with 1 or 2 items with nothing behind them and filling locations where other out of stocks items should be. Does this store have a manager? read more
