One wouldn't think that they could beat Walmart, Kroger, and Walgreen's prices but they do. For instance, the two meds I needed recently were each $30 or more less expensive @ Medicap. Exa: Antibiotic oint, Bactroban. almost $52 at another local pharmacy. $22 @ Medicap, both generic. Wow! what a difference!!! One is lucky if they live in Anna, Il. as there is free delivery as well. What other pharmacy in Anna, Il does that? Also did you know they have a free service to fill up your purchased med planners if you or an elderly friend or relative needs that? This Walgreens is a shit hole terrible pharmacist assistance and the pharmacist..I went the last 3…read moremonths without my medications that I got prescribed a year ago from my doctor because the the union I'm part of switched from Health Link to Aetna.. and because they're ill trained and not good at their jobs I could not get my prescriptions for 3 months because they did not know how to transfer health Link to Aetna insurance and could not input the RX codes or insurance numbers in so I could afford to buy my scripts for a dollar a script and was trying to charge me $400 bucks for all my medications because they didn't know how to put in information for insurance right.. I had to have my Aetna agents call them and teach them how to input the insurance information and do their job for them.. even though I had already told a few of their staff they did not know what they were doing the pharmacist assistance and pharmacist for the 3 months I went without my meds.. because of them at Walgreens pharmacy.. if they keep it up this local Walgreens will be one of the ones they close nation wide because of their lack of staff and experience..

I asked her about using the restroom. She said it's closed for cleaning. I didn't think any of it. While looking for the items I came to purchase Michelle came from the back stating I look confused or startled. I brushed it off continuing to look for my items. I grabbed the Lysol bottle and went to ask them was there any bottles that's smaller than the one I had in my hand. That's when I approached the both of them who is discussing how disgusted they are by me being in the store, that's when Isabel make the remark get out. I asked her was that pertaining to me she was startled. I put the Lysol bottle back where I picked it up from, and I did as such. Before I left I requested the store number that's when the manager asks. How can she help me and I requested the store number from her. Also requesting both associates names. First, the pharmacists were incredibly helpful and patient with my seven year old. She was prescribed a medication that only comes in pill form and was very nervous about swallowing pills. Both pharmacists took extra time to put her--and me--at ease. The daytime pharmacist offered a tip for swallowing a pill using a straw. The pharmacist on the evening shift showed my daughter several different options for the medication, made by different manufacturers. The ability to choose the pill gave her a sense of control, which made the daunting process feel a bit easier. The second praise-worthy encounter occurred this evening. My 3 year old was diagnosed with a double ear infection at urgent care and was prescribed an antibiotic. The prescription was called in ten minutes before the pharmacy closed and I knew we wouldn't arrive until just after closing. I called Walgreens and explained our situation. The pharmacy tech--with the pharmacist's blessing-- kindly offered to fill the prescription and stay a few minutes after her shift ended to wait for us. I wish I had caught her name, but I was so overcome by gratitude and relief it slipped my mind to ask. On the way home, I explained to my daughter what she has done. After it sunk in, my daughter told me that when she was a grown up, she would stay late at her work to help someone, too. Thank you to the Walgreens pharmacy staff for your expertise AND for being such good human beings! Our community is lucky to have you!

The staff has always been friendly and professional...but the company practices and policies are…read moreawful. Four times in a year Walgreens (Wg) has been late on my RA Rx injections. A month ago I had a flare so bad I couldn't walk or close my fingers. Last week Wg was late again with my Rx and I'm again in awful pain. On 1/8/18 I was given 2 different dosages of the same drug! Taking both could be have been disastrous, luckily I asked. In 2017 I had a Rx transfered from a natural apothecary to Wg, and they gave me TEN TIMES the prescribed amount. I took it for only two days and experienced a thyroid storm, had muscle weakness, fell, and was injured. I could have died. Wrote to the company and never got a response. This is the last straw. I will transfer my prescriptions to a local pharmacy that cares. :(
