There is a small food kitchen connected to it that was cooking and selling food, but I didn't try it. This is one place you can sometimes get Mutsu apples -- the BEST apples for baking! And they're so delicious! During my latest visit I got apple butter, fresh apples, cider, peaches, and an apple pastry to go. They had pies and donuts, but they were already sold out - good sign, right!?! It was a nice stop as we drove through the southern Illinois area. I feel fortunate when we can time it right, driving through, and get some good ol' southern Illinois orchard goodies! YUM!

They also have Best Choice and Always Save products I can't find at the big brand stores. However, I have difficulty finding their weekly sale ads online. The most recent ad on line currently is from early September 2024, over a month ago. If I could see the current ad, I'd definitely be drawn into their store more often.

It was Saturday night and the area was BUSY. I asked for a Monte Cristo without ham (cause red meat). Monte Cristos are one of my FAVORITE food items. The owner said she couldn't because of the pre-made situation. It was hard to hear, but she made sure it was ok for me to still have it and was sincere. This says a lot about her character -- which often shows up in other areas of business (ie, cleanliness, quality). I was able to pull the ham off easily because it was neatly assembled, which was GREAT! Made it so easy. Sandwich was fantastic, a flavor I remember. And consistent to a previous one I had years from before from Haute Wheels. Service was FAST, and made fresh! Just an overall stellar experience. It was so delicious I kept talking about it after I got home. Looking forward to the next time I can visit this truck! Thank you!!
