It's extremely difficult to get help in the early mornings (really any time of day). I work nights, and get off at 6 AM. So I plan my shopping needs at Walmart basically to drive straight there after work. I often need things in the electronics department and can never find somebody to open those stupid locked cases for things. Why is the store open that early if you aren't going to have staff to assist the customers. Other than that, I generally don't have problems. I hate the self checkout, but I love the way I bag my groceries. I wish they would go back to cashiers instead of the zombies eyeballing you like a thief all the time. read more

Improvement needed everything! This Wal Mart is 100% the reason I would rather go to TARGET! Service horrible and not so much hourly associates. I was not impressed by the customer service at this location. I have been Walmart's througout the US from major cities to rural locations. This is the only location I ever seen no live cashiers at various times of the day from early opening to mid day to even closing. Other Walmart the self checkout you cannot do over 20 items. Customer service is horrible. The employees are rude. The stockers won't move so you can get something off the shelf. Several times my pickup order was delayed for hours and then cancelled. They will say an item is out of stock and I go inside and it's on the shelf. Placed a delivery order and it was delayed and then cancelled. Not enough cashiers. Pick up orders take forever. I canceled my membership and refuse to shop at any walmart. A terrible company that doesn't care about their customers. Opelika Walmart needs NEW management. read more

Really terrible management here. Amanda and Rebecca were not helpful at all. I tried to return a pair of shoes I bought 4 days ago and was told because they had some dirt on them I couldn't. I'd understand if they were dirty, torn apart, ripped apart, had paint on them but they weren't and I'm attaching pictures as well. I'm super tight on money and really wanted to get another pair. Will definitely be avoiding Walmarts all together. Low prices don't make up for lack of care or compassion and understand towards a customer. Super bummed, no luck with customer service thru phone numbers, there is only so much they can do and they are not at fault. But you're still left with a bitter frustrated feeling. read more

A few months ago I left a review that went a little bit the same way. This auto care center is FREAKING AWFUL they have had my car since 3 in the mfering afternoon and are just now getting to it? Make that make sense! They closed at 7 and are just now getting to my car that has been sitting here for four hours. They tried to come in here and tell me that they can't find the key to get the oil filter off. Bffr! Y'all have now became an inconvenience when you are supposed to be a convenient auto shop. I placed a pickup order and went to the store to pick it up. Since stores are changing their systems due to covid-19, we have been told all Walmarts require you to park in a designated space, call the posted number, and your order will be brought out. Not this time. A guy came out and told us we would need to go inside to pick up our order. When asked why we were required to come inside the store vs having the order brought to the car, the employee responded with "it's whatever," in the most condescending tone. I probably should have told him I have the coronavirus, but that just seems cruel. I've NEVER had a positive experience with Walmart pickup, and this is the worst experience of them all! read more

Cmon man. You replace all the checkouts people with machines, but don't even open the machines. 9:20 on Friday night and it's 25 people deep in line before I can get to the register. Not a single full service register open. About 10 self checkout machines closed. read more

If you want to waste your money at a store that has a terrible reputation for customer service, this is the place you need to be. We visited this store on Wednesday, 07/19/2023 to purchase several items; however, when my wife needed someone to cut fabric for her we could not find anyone. I went to the front and asked for help. After a 15+ minute wait someone came back to the sewing section and told my wife she didn't need anyone to cut her fabric since she was buying the whole block and the price per yard as well as the yards on the block were on the fabric. At the checkout we could not get any one to help us until we asked if anyone was working the area. Oh, there were half a dozen walking around chewing the fat drawing a check but not doing a thing. She said we had to take it back to the sewing/fabric area and get a specific sticker on the fabric after we told her what the lady in the fabrics stated. Short, we left it because they refused to help us put in the price. In more than one section of the store personnel were doing absolutely NOTHING. So, your money goes to someone who doesn't give a flip about you, the company, or anything. This will be our last trip to this store. It doesn't even deserve one star. read more

Going to this average Walmart during slow times is wise (parking spaces galore, no pushing through the People of Walmart), but the drawback is that you have to deal with the bottleneck checking out. Please open up more registers where there are over three parties waiting in line! read more

Yesterday I was in a Walmart marketplace purchasing groceries. The checkout lines have such a tight space between two registers that there's not enough room to maneuver around your cart exedra. I'm trying to pack my groceries back into my cart and I had forgotten something. So I went back to the end of the belt and got the bread and on my way back I tripped over the lady behind me foot. It was a pretty hard fall for someone who has RLS and I did get hurt but not too badly. the fact that they have made their check out lines that small I am wondering if they realize that I could sue them for that. Not to mention the lady that was behind me who was around 60 to 70 years old I was more concerned with her than myself I'm laying on the floor and a mangled mess and all I'm worried about is whether I had hit or accidentally done anything else to this lady. this woman at her age acted like an uneducated child and turned around and told me I know you didn't touch me but if you had of I would be calling my lawyer. I am still on the floor and I looked up at her and said really? I could not believe someone of her age could be so cruel once I got up I turned around and told her that I am physically disabled and that's why I went down so easily. that just tells you what our world has come to. I'll be calling the Walmart manager on Monday after I see my doctor and see if they will work this out with me otherwise I will be going to my attorney and suing Walmart for creating a situation like that by not making their aisles between registers large enough for two people to stand back-to-back checking out. it's also against the law to not have the accommodations disabled people need. it is all on Walmart's audio video and should not be a problem proving anything. I also took down the tag number of the old woman that upset me after I told her I was sorry and disabled she turned around and said no you're not you're just drunk. that also is against the law to even upset me or make fun of my disability. she is the witness and I don't believe she would have the nerve to lie in court. I hope Walmart has the common sense to settle with me without a bunch of lawyers and Court trials. because I can promise you I will win. read more

All I have to say is that I bought some shoes, actually when I saw that the style of shoes I like, dr scholl's slip resistant work shoes in size 12 I bought both pairs that were available, my otehr shoes had become ruined on the way to visit my friend Ken R in Columbus, Ga. And I always have to wait in long lines with other costumers complaining about the long lines with 5/6 registers open only!!! Also it is extremely dirty. If your in line and you look down between the candy rack an soda shelf there is black sticky stuff on the floor. Come on Walmart. Clean your store. Open more registers. I have given this store far too many chances. The grocery pickup service is absolutely terrible. Expect to wait in your car for at least 30-45 minutes, not have anyone answer the pickup phone line, be greeted by a Walmart representative that is miserable, then be given the wrong items. Management informed me months ago that they were fixing the issue. Clearly, they are not. read more
