Well found on Yelp, went by GPS and got worried based on the area the GPS toke us through, but it nicer when we got there. Kinda hidden. Out side was open, clean and simple. Inside was the same old local photos, has a daily special, has a kids menu , didn't get a photo. Staff were friendly. Got the Jalapenos burger with all the fixin, it was warm to be but not super hot. Which was great to me. Got a melt it was very cheesy and a kids cheeseburger, got it plain but didn't know the bun was toasted (my kid don't like toasted buns) got wedges, they was good remind me of the old KFC wedges. Really good food. You walk in seat yourself & soon someone comes to take a drink order. There's a paper menu with the days special on it. There's also a standard burger/breakfast menu. We all ordered burgers because we arrived too late for breakfast. I had a double cheeseburger with onions, bacon & lettuce on the side. My son had a breakfast burger with fries My mom a pineapple burger with fries (tots are also an option or you can pick a side from the menu) Burgers took a bit to come out but when they did omg! Huge & the fries were fresh. The condiments are all on the side which is perfect & theres nothing missing if you need it. I wouldn't have ordered a double if I knew the patty was so huge.. it was very well seasoned & cooked. I'm a definite fan! Everyone's food was great. The only thing I will say is... the service could be better. There was a gentleman who brought our food out & what a breath of fresh air. Super sweet very attentive, quick smile and very helpful. That was very opposite of the service we had prior when we came in. The ladies weren't too friendly or attentive nor did they seem very interested in serving us. This is a hidden, home-cooking gem! Made a trip for breakfast and already thinking about when we go back for lunch. Very clean and friendly service. Breakfast is cooked to order - we got the pancake (truly the size of the plate) with conecuh sausage and the breakfast bowl with hashbrowns, over easy eggs, fried chicken, with all the veggies and cheese. Lunch is a daily meat and three or burgers cooked to order. We will be back! read more

Old Mill Country Kitchen is an out-of-the-way place that is definitely worth visiting. It's open for breakfast and lunch and I've uploaded all the menus here. I came in around noon on a Saturday and the place was pretty packed even though it was an hour until close. I got the sense immediately after ordering that maybe I didn't make a good choice. Most folks were eating breakfast/brunch and I got the sense that this was the best part of the menu on a Saturday. I had already eaten breakfast and so I ordered off the chicken sandwich off the "burger menu." It was fine. Good like a Chick-fil-a sandwich is good but nothing to write home about. I should have just ordered a second breakfast as all the breakfast orders that were being put on the counter from the kitchen looked great. Also, it looks smart to come on weekdays for lunch as they have a special everyday. I uploaded the menu and all look great. Service was attentive and they give a cash discount so bring cash. Trying something new and found this place. Wasn't impressed for a 25.00 buffet for one person. Food was not very fresh and lacking flavor. They advertised southern cuisine but not so much.. Service was ok. The place was in a mall, so I expected it to be a bit cleaner than it was. Will not be back, which is sad because the menu looked to have promise. read more

Very,very unclean practices. Upon being seated which gave me a clear view through the door to the kitchen prep area. I immediately observed a staff member prepping packaged salads. Once the salads are complete one gentleman attempted to place them in the cooler but dropped one on the floor. The rest went into the cooler but the one after much thought got put right back onto the prep station. After a couple on minutes there it was tossed away. Then a different younger gentleman reached out of sight and grabbed a large fly swatter and began to swat at something that was obviously flying around. After several swatting attempts he stops and places the swatter directly onto the prep station. Someone eventually removes it back to wherever it was before out of sight. We now then goes right back to the prep station to start preparing yet something with ZERO cleaning. I asked my server who was the Manager. She describes the first gentleman ( the salad guy) who was actually leaning on the prep station throughout the swatting episode. At that time I knew that addressing it with him would only result in them making absolutely sure that the curtain/door was closed so nobody could see into the kitchen area again as he was too comfortable with the things going on at the contamination station. Awesome southern breakfast. It's as close to my Grandma's breakfast I've ever gotten from a restaurant. The grits are amazing and I loved the split link and griddled sausage. Portions are extremely generous- it took three plates, and that's just one order! Staff are wonderful, keeping my excellent tasting coffee mug full and being friendly. Awesome service!!!! Nice server!! One of the best burgers I have ever had!!! They also have a meat and 3. The choices looked really appetizing. They serve breakfast 6:00 to 10:30. On Saturday they serve breakfast from 6:00 to 1:00. I encourage you to try this restaurant!!! read more
