It has been a couple of years since I reviewed this Walmart. Not a lot has changed in my assessment. I still do some of our supplemental grocery shopping here: either harder to find items or those that bear a cost saving for us, such as quarts of heavy cream. If the item is the same price as at our local supermarket, the 2% cash back loyalty program win it for our local supermarket. And we still buy some non-grocery items here, rather than automatically ordering from the mega online company that I will not name here. Another change is that I have switched to the Walmart pharmacy for a couple of prescriptions, one for myself and the other for a pet. The service is excellent and the pricing an improv over our previous pharmacy. A supplemental benefit is that if I want to use up rewards money from my health insurance card, the self-service registers accept the card when other stores did not. read more

We went to the hair salon at Walmart super Center in Palmyra. The stylist was Super! and she was all alone cutting everyone's hair. It was 10 am and she said she was booked to 5:30 pm! My some loved his hair cut, and she was professional. She deserves a raise. read more

This pharmacy needs to get it together. I drove down to get a med. That was supposed to be filled the week before. Was told they needed to order it, went in today and was told the same thing, when I got upset they had the med and filled it in ten minutes. They said they needed to order it until I said to just send it over to walgreens, then they actually had it. This just seems to be a downward spiral that is now not just in the rest of the store now pharmacy. Not sure if I truly trust them to fill my meds. anymore. read more

Very disappointed with our experience at the Walmart in Newport Maine. We went to get beers, soda, and water for our wedding in a couple days and we're treated with absolute contempt when we asked for a flatbed cart even though we could see them near the entrance. We were then told that they only had 3 cases of beer when we saw they had 6. We needed 16 cases and had been told there wouldn't be a problem when we called earlier. I am furious with our experience and will never be coming back to this establishment. read more

I am an avid shopper but today I had issues when I walked through the out door. Items and all the chemical fumes coming from the pest control cans. I do have COPD sand know that is part of the issue. Is there anyway to put those items in a more ventilated area? read more
