Customer service is terrible after working with Costco and Amazon!!!! Bought a bbq grill in the box, brought it home in an SUV, assembled it and it has an issue with a valve and is unusable. Walmart insists I return the assembled grill for a refund and has no other options to give me...husband is a 100% VA disabled vet who cannot help and it will not fit assembled in the car. Went inside store to refill a 5 gallon propane tank. Employee gal sent me running for the door for bringing the tank inside, citing a fire hazard. Did so, ran outside, took the tank to the lockers for an exchange. Went back inside and saw approximately 200 green propane bottles, and 200 lighter fluid bottles at the entrance near the registers, all for sale.... GO FIGURE! Listen, yelpers, before you jump down my @$$ for shopping at Walmart, let me set the scene for you. I was on a quickie vaca to see my friend, she picked me up in Spokane and we went to the Schweitzer Mountain resort in ID (off-off-OFF season apparently) in May. The closest target is in couer de laine idaho. Walmart it is - the village and everything in its vicinity was strictly shut down. We were the only people in the hotel - it was very hotel in the Shining. I digress.... So, Lanny and me set off to buy some booze and flip flops at Walmart. We perused the $5 CD bin and could barely tear ourselves away from such classic artists as Lionel Ritchie, Conway Twitty, and BoysIIMen. We found flip flops for $2. I did not think it was possible. So, we came away with some yogurt, fruit, booze and flip flops (we needed them for the outside jacuzzi in the hotel). Enter the cashier who did not think we had enough plastic bags.. She double bagged the booze and continued to put each item in separate bags. I suppose the global warming and recycling fad did not hit Idaho yet and if it did, it was not evident in this here Walmart. I had the best time with Lanny here. read more

I called in regards to a customer who was in need of any jump start , not knowing she left walmart as her call back . I am connected to CUSTOMER SERVICE and i proceed to explain that i want to relay over the estimated time of arrival and tow truck providers contact so the customer is aware . I was told it is a personal problem and they cant help. I said have a great day thank you . Went in to buy a TV for my parents that I was visiting. Time was tight as I had to meet someone so what was I thinking of..quick service. NOT! The only person working in electronics was helping a customer and would not look up even though there was a line of people. My sister (who lives there) said the only way to get help is to call the store and ask the operator to call for someone. Which I did. The person came over to the other worker, played with something in her back pocket as she leaned over the counter (called sexual harassment in the rest of the world) and stood there and helped the same customer. Frustrated, I called again. I was told in a snotty voice that I all ready sent someone over there. I explained what he was doing. So I get a female manager and a male department manager. I explain that this is my last day of vacation and I want to purchase a tv as a gift. The female manager leaves and the male department manager scans the tag and tells me that he has one in the back. I explained that I am in a really big hurry. He goes to the back, comes out, looks at the TVs, goes back then comes back out to tell me that it is in claims and he does not have anymore. Seriously! He then tells me that he has one coming in maybe tomorrow. That helps me how? So, I said that I will look at Best Buy (there were offering free shipping). He gets totally snotty with me. Tells me he worked for Best Buy and they basically are the worst ever. What kind of customer service is that? He didn't offer me a substitution or a similar product that would work. I guess they know that they are the big dog in town so they don't have to be nice or helpful for if you don't like, where are you going to go? So sad that WM has been reduced to that. read more
