I am giving you this rating because every time I go to the store one of the self-scan areas is closed there is two cell scan areas east side and a west side and the east side is always closed down. And the main reason why I have this complaint is I am a Walmart Plus customer and I did try to use scan and go but when I walked up to the terminal that reads your credit cards for the scan and go the sign was turned around and that was closed down also. Can Walmart please tell me what is the point of having scan and go at your Walmart store if it is closed.? I am just about ready to cancel my Walmart plus ask for my money back this is ridiculous did you guys spend thousands of dollars to promote these nice features but then you don't implement them at your store. read more

Layout is different than other local Walmarts. I was attacked by another customer for no reason at all yesterday. I told an employee that this person was behaving strangely and he just laughed at me. I should have done a police report. This happened during the early afternoon, when you should feel SAFE to shop most places. Also, this store isn't the cleanest. INTRO: I'm a person that likes Walmart. the largest factor in that statement is that I'm a late-night person. I don't like my days to start before 1 o'clock in the afternoon and as long as I'm getting between 3 and 6 hours of sleep a day I'm pretty happy... If I get more great. Oh and as for my union not liking Walmart... Well, I welcome them starting their own 24 hours success story, as Sam Walton did. I would even transfer from what I do to what they create. THE GOLDEN RULES: I do have a few rules about Walmart though... First and foremost is that I never go to Walmart before 10 p.m. This is for a couple of reasons. The first being this is the time that the night crew comes on. These are the people that stock the shelves and they truly know where everything is and on the rare occasions they didn't, they knew who was working in which aisle and could tell me who I needed to speak to. The other reason is I do not like being stuck behind soccer moms or snowbirds... Third reason is purely comical... And it deals with the shoppers. CLIENTAL: Before I describe anything if you recall back to the days of driver's education in school when they told you to put your hand on the steering wheel at 10 and 2... That's the secret to a successful Walmart trip. Always keep it between 10 pm and 2 o'clock in the morning. especially on a Friday and Saturday night when the show really turned it up a notch. Who needs cable? I hav Walmart. WELL STOCKED: As far as stock goes, Walmart has pretty much something for everybody. I've noticed more than on just one occasion that they stopped carrying a product that I really enjoyed... but there's always something to get you by. END GAME: Over the years I've come to know managers and employees by name and they've always treated me extremely well. Their parking lots are well-lit they have cameras on at just about everything... Like many mainland Walmart stores, this location was VERY DIFFERENT than the Walmarts in Hawaii (home) in a lot of positive ways: + Cleaner + Bigger = more selection. + Bigger = not super busy whenever you visit (by Hawaii standards) + The prices were excellent, generally about 28% cheaper than their Hawaii counterparts, which makes visiting a mainland store to buy most anything a huge discount versus shopping at home. + The staff was very pleasant, which sadly isn't always something that you experience in discount stores. We visited to pick up some treats, toys and drinks for our short stay in the Port Richey area. We found everything we needed easily. Wouldn't hesitate to come back if needed. read more

LMAO, I move & end up going to my nemis Walmart. Yes, I moved & needed several things....& I actually went to Walmart. It was an experience. I had ordered an item online & to my misconception I thought they would bring it to the car....noway. I had to go in to get what I ordered online. Of course along the way I bought $100.001 worth of other items. I lost a bag & called, they were great & even pulled the survaliance films. I had just moved in & the missing bag got dropped. A few days latter a new neighbor came & returned the bag. TY Walmart for taking me seriously & investigating this missing package. I will be the first to say I am not very impressed with any Walmart, but I was suprised & impressed with their investigation & keeping me in touch with my claim. You can't fight facts. Ordered an item using the Walmart iOS app. The item arrived and did not work. I went to start a return on the app, and an option came up saying I could 'return in store.' I followed the guide and a barcode was populated, instructing me to take the item to the store and have guest services scan the barcode to complete my return. I drove to the store and brought the item and app to guest services. The associate scanned the app, said that they don't that here, took my item, switched the return to 'return by mail' and handed me a tracking receipt. I was never asked if any of this was ok. No explanation as to why they would not complete the in store return. I could have just chosen to return by mail from my home. I could have chose to keep the broken item. Why did I need to drive 20 mins each way and wait in line? I've tried reaching out to the store and customer service, and have gotten 0 support. read more

My first impression of this store was that for a 24 hour operation, it was very dirty. The parking lot was strewn with litter of all sorts, plastic bottles, beer bottles and cans, paper etc. I made my visit at 7am, so they had all night to clean. The store itself had dirty floors along with disorderly displays. I only had to pick up a couple items, some toner cartridges and an A/C filter, so I figured this would be a quick place to get both in one stop. The greeter could hardly get out a decent "hello" as I walked by. (There's someone who loves their job) I quickly found the A/C filter and made my way back to electronics to find the toner. Everything was great until I returned home and found out that they gave me the wrong cartridges. This was after I gave the employee the number off of my printer. (Showed him a pic I took of the model number off the printer. As if that were not enough, when I was leaving the store, another employee demanded to see my receipt is if I stole something. She was very rude and refused my request to speak with a manager. I informed her I knew the laws and my rights and I would call police if she didn't let me pass. These big box guys need to be sent a message that customer service is number one! They seem to have forgotten this concept. I for one will only be shopping at local or small business from now on. I suggest that everyone else do the same and we can send a message with our dollars. read more

This Walmart has been going downhill in the last few years. 1. The store closes at 12 AM now because it's located in what's considered a "high crime" area. This makes this Walmart location incredibly inconvenient for late-night shoppers who have day jobs and can't get there any other time. It also cuts the number of jobs available to our community. 2. The store is always a mess. People urinate all over the bathrooms and no one cleans it up. Most of the time, there's a bum or hobo spiffing themselves up in front of the mirror, which makes it uncomfortable to use the bathrooms. 3. NO MORE PRICE MATCHING at this location. A sign says they discontinued it Summer of 2017 because they "always have low prices." If that was actually true, then there would be no reason to price-match. I walked out today spending $40 for a catridge of HP 61 printer ink that costs only $32 elsewhere, and I ate the cost because this Walmart doesn't care as much about its customers as others to offer price-matching guarantees. 4. There are signs all throughout the stores to "contact the store manager" with any problems. This is a ploy to keep complaints away from upper corporate management. They will try to solve everything in-house so that complaints never make it up the tree. Often times, solutions are never as you hope. read more

Grocery pickup - On my way home, i was there to pick up my order and it was not ready. I run to pick up my kids, I didn't want to be late. I get a notification that my groceries were ready 15 minutes late. I turn around to get them and I got there about 15 minutes late. There was no one there. I called customer service three times and was put on hold for at least 10 minutes each time. I didn't know if I should stay (if someone was going to bring out my groceries or leave? After being put on hold the third time.... I finally go into customer service... where there were at least five people standing around talking.... mind you my phone is on speaker and still playing the hold music... I asked to speak to the manager... they all laugh because he had just been up there. Anyway, Brian comes slow walking like he was in some park and had all night to get where he was going... don't know if he was trying to be cute or just trying to make me madder? Brian said basically you were not here at 8:00 nothing we can do for you... I told him I was here on time... I was here at 7:00 and that you were late. I checked the app... said my order was delayed. They were late... I had to pick up my kids, which made me late. I told him I have called customer service three times and was on hold for at least 10 minutes before being disconnected. He didn't apologize... he said I should checked in. I always check in when I have my parking spot #. The app would not let me check in. The option goes away at 8:00 (I am guessing). I asked how to cancel my order. He said I had to use the app. Finally called the 'contact us'. Thank goodness they were very polite. Sympathetic that it was now almost 9:00 Pm and I had to go to another store (not a Walmart store) to get milk for cereal and stuff for lunches. Just being kind and respectful can change the tone of the evening! I will NEVER shop Walmart @ 19 and Ridge Rd again!! I will avoid ALL Warmarts whenever possible!! read more

I am writing to commend the staff at the Walmart Vision Center at the Walmart at 8701 US Hwy 19, Port Richey, FL. I needed a new pair of prescription reading glasses, so I called several places in the area (VisionWorks, Optimart, For Eyes, etc.) to get a price for the glasses with polycarbonate and anti-reflective lenses. Walmart was by far the least expensive. When I went in, the Vision area was clean and the frames were organized by price. All the frames come with a free one-year warranty. Carol and Tim both helped me find the best frames and were very helpful with my questions. My new glasses came within the promised ten days, and they are great! Carol made sure my glasses fit properly and that I was happy with them. I was so impressed with Carol that I even ordered a second pair of glasses from her I highly recommend Walmart Vision Center. read more

I was passing through Port Richey today on my way to a friends. When I came to Ridge and 19 I thought I had to fart but I pooped instead. I pulled into Walmart to buy some new clothes. When I walked in the door the employee there looked at me with a look of disgust. I don't know why he'd do that, my situation is none of his business. I rushed over to the clothing isle and picked out a new outfit for myself. When I got to the dressing room the lady had the AUDACITY to ask me why I smell!!!! I told her it was none of her business and proceeded towards the dressing room. When I walked out there were three staff members waiting for me. They asked that I leave because I was creating a safety hazard for the other shoppers. I told them I didn't have corona and they made me leave anyways. While I was walking out I realized that I was leaking on the floor. Serves them right. Maybe if I had some new underwear on I wouldn't have been so messy. read more

The worst customer service!! I usually don't shop at this Walmart and after tonight's experience I won't be back. I went in and purchased about 30 items. I used one of the self service lanes. Because I had to look up the produce; the system required a manager override before I could pay. The red light on the terminal was flashing to notify a store associate. No one came. I went to another manned checkout and asked if someone could be paged. No one came. I had to call the store 3 times from my cell phone before it was taken care of. I asked an associate to speak to the general manager. I was told the general manager "never comes" in. I asked to speak to a manager on duty. The associate ask me "which one". I said who ever is the highest working. She never helped me. I finally said I would submit a review on line in an effort to have this problem rectified. She said "you do what you need to do", and walked away. In my opinion, these customer associates were the rudest people I have ever met. If it is true about the GM never coming around then I fell sorry for them. Obviously their employees are doing them a disservice in the way they are conducting business. read more

NO STAR! It won't let you post a review with out at least giving one and they should have none! When I tell you this Walmart causes nothing but a major time and travel inconvenience for you I can not stress this enough. If you are debating on purchasing a firearm from them I would look else where. When coming in to do so here's what you have to look forward to. A two hour paper trail and background check. (Understandable) but then you can pay for your firearm and wait the 3 days it takes to confirm with FDLE. (Also understandable) What they won't do is be informative that there is a spicific time frame that you can come back and pick up said firearm after those three days. Our time was 8:01pm. (After driving the hour and half it takes to come to this location because they're the only ones that sell the wanted firearm only to be advised we would have to return at the approved time that night, so drive home and back again at 8pm) after making the third hour and a half drive totaling in 100 miles driving back and forth, we then have no one there at that time who can release our purchased firearm to us, and to be then again told that we would have to return the next day to pick it up. Here we are again for the fourth hour and a half drive here and they've taken 30mins to assist us only to let us know our paper work has been "misplaced". With the employee calling multiple times for management and it going to no avail. Him trying to find said paper work. What kind of management this place has needs to be fired and hire people who can actually do they're job correctly the first time and be more informative of the times to return to pick up a purchased item. We've been here for an hour now waiting to take home our already purchased firearm, now a day after everything's been approved through FDLE. Total days waited: 5 (counting the 3 days for FDLE to clear) Total miles drivin home and here again: 215 Total time wasted: 10 hours and 40 mins. (Not counting the 3 day wait period for the FDLE to clear) UPDATE: we got the gun and drive all the way home only to find that THEY LEFT THE FUCKING LOCK ON IT! thankfully we were able to go to the pinellas park location and thank fucking goodness they have keys! An associate Allen was VERY HELPFUL in helping us! He got the lock off! He is a good noodle, and he deserves a pay raise! This store also compensated us for the hassle we've been through in the form of a gift card. read more

I was passing through Port Richey and became sick. I went to the Walmart on Hwy 19 to get a new shirt and pants because I had vomit on my clothes. I found an outfit, tried it on and told the fitting room clerk that I was headed to check out wearing my new purchases because I had vomit on my other clothes. I had my wallet in hand and kept the tags on both items but was told that I would have to wear my vomit clothes because it was policy that I would not be able to wear the new outfit. I changed my outfit, went up front and paid for my purchases. I asked to speak to a manager and told them how the fitting room clerk was rude to me. The blonde manager was kind and said that it was not policy to treat customers like that. It was a unique situation and would not have been an issue to ring up my purchases while wearing them. The cashier who checked me out said he couldn't believe they treated me that way. The blonde manager went to get a higher up and came back with a supervisor named Ron. He refused to call the clerk for an apology twice and said I could wait for the store managers to come back from lunch which was about 45 minutes. I said I would also report him to corporate as well but he seemed unconcerned with fixing the situation and just gave me attitude. I snapped and told him I didn't appreciate his f**king attitude and left the store. I will no longer shop at Walmart because I do not have to settle for cheaply made items and horrible customer service when I am able to take my money to a business where I am valued. I only went to the Walmart because I am unfamiliar with the area but will not continue supporting corporate jerks nor will I renew my Sam's Club membership. No need to give money to a company that does not value the customer and treats them like a common criminal. The good thing about this store is that the few employees on the floor are always friendly, courteous and as helpful as possible considering all they have to do and what they put up with from crazy customers for their meager paycheck. Store is always overcrowded making it difficult and time consuming to shop. Items are frequently labeled lower prices than they charge at check out. Many items are close or same day expiration, so check everything. Yesterday was WORST! Splurged on Krispy Kreme donuts that were covered in ants when I broke the seal to open them at home. Every time I visit this store I leave exhausted mentally and physically. It takes SO much effort to get around the store, they often move item locations, put them on shelves too high or low to reach, out of stock of many items, etc. Heaven help you if you stop to check expiration date/ingredients/price. So crowded people actually push you around, run you over or shove you out of their way. I call this assault, which is frequently something else that happens here. Guard your purse, and stay aware. You can actually hear car alarms going off and see people trying to break into them in parking lot in broad daylight. They also try to grab your purse as you walk through. My car had locks broken by a thief when it was parked in full view of greeter right by entrance. I've had to fight off people trying to snatch my purse several times. read more

Managers were having a pow wow in the middle of the main isle, totally unaware that only two check out lanes were open with extremely long lines and they were in customers pathway. There were plenty of the self check out lanes open, but I do not like to use them because one, it puts people out of work and two, it is more work for myself trying to check items and bag them up. I couldn't figure out why they didn't they open another register to expedite customer service? Plus, I really don't feel like I saved any money by shopping there! I went to Walmart for an oil change and find out nobody is a real mechanic they have one guy that knows something about a car and the rest are all journeyman waiting for the teacher to give them the answer ,it took forever to change my oil then they scratch the car the mechanic admitted to scratching the car because of the old mats used to cover the hood, he said he had been complaining for weeks for new mats ,I told management and the store manager (Skip is his name) came out and accuse me of trying to commit fraud against Wal-Mart ,the insurance claim person calls me and tells me that they see nothing on video, I mentioned to her about the mats and then she quickly responds that the mats are not meant to scratch the hood, I mentioned to to her what the employee had said the mats were old and tattered and full of gravel the employee had mention he had been complaining for new mats for a week now she called me a liar and said that was never said with no video or any proof but was documented and acknowledged among store employees that day with complete fault to the store,cant look at Wal-Mart the same. read more
