I love going to this Costco... Yes, it's busy but it has a great parking lot so I can usually find a spot that's not too far from the door. They also have a gas station here so when I shop, I also usually get gas. They always have a great selection. Everything is fresh. Everyone is nice. Checkout is usually pretty easy. They have a self check, which I always avoid just because I can never seem to get it right even when the lines are long things move pretty quickly. I've tried the location on Gulf Bay, and far and above prefer this Linebaugh Costco. read more

Our local Costco - we're here several times a month. Always long lines but they move fast. They keep it nice and organized, even on the weekends when things get hectic. We've always had solid customer service, in-store and when we have orders for pickup. The Costco gas line is always crazy if you go in the afternoons, but it's not bad at all if you can make it in the morning timeframe. read more

I stopped by the Costco in Westchase to pick up some dog treats and protein bars. If you want to avoid the crowds, weekdays before 4 PM are your best bet. For gas, the lines are typically short before 9 AM. The food court is always a highlight--$1.50 for the classic hot dog and soda combo, and pizza slices for just $1.99. The self-checkout is quick and easy, and they do scan your Costco membership to confirm it's yours (not borrowed). One thing I wish they'd enforce more is the guest policy. Membership rules allow two guests per member, and only the member can make purchases, but it seems like plenty of people bring their entire extended family without issue. read more

We went into our local Costco to see in person the TV we had ordered online with a Costco in Raleigh, NC that will be delivered next week. My husband specifically wanted to look at the sound bars available through Costco. We were graciously greeted by Chris who really knows his products as he stocks the entire department before opening each day! Chris has a great attitude and knowledgeable personality which put my husband at ease as we were guided on the differences between the various sound bar options. A colleague of Chris, Todd, was walking by at one point on the conversation and Chris asked Todd his opinion regarding one sound bar in particular to pair with our new TV. Todd took the time to chime in with excellent insight and took things a step further when my husband inquired about which full motion bracket would work best with our 65" TV. My loyalty to Costco as a brand we trust and will go to for many needs grew exponentially the other day as we interacted with both Chris and Todd. They knew from the start of our conversation that we were looking for products that would be either picked up in a Raleigh Costco and/or delivered by a Raleigh Costco. Needed to replace a set of tires and the spare. Asked for one of the existing tires be used as the new spare. They refused to transfer tire to the spare. "Their policy" . They could not explain why. They also knocked my rearview mirror off the windshield. Did not bother to fix or even tell me . To top it off , I had nice chrome valve stem covers on my old tires. For a Thursday at 11am, this place is a madhouse. The gas took approximately 20mins to get to the pump. Drivers were parked at the pumps all wonky, so other vehicles couldn't pass through. It was so inefficient, which is likely what caused the wait. Inside wasn't much better. Samples were out in full force, which blocks the aisles. Many customers leave their carts in aisles making it hard to weave around. I purchased behind the counter generic Sudafed at the pharmacy, and that was super easy and the cashier/pharmacist was wonderful! Checking out was a hot mess too. At my normal Costco in metro-Atlanta, there is one person helping direct the line at self-checkout - here it was a free for all, lots of "line cutters". Exiting was also a hassle. The sales folk were out in full force. One person selling home upgrades and another with Shaw, they were talking with customers and blocking the majority of the path to exit. This seems like a bit of a hazard in case of an emergency...maybe that's just me. Another difference from "my Costco" is how much carts are left stranded throughout the parking lot and popped up on curbs, instead of returning to the cart corral. While this is 100% lazy and selfish on the customers, I didn't see one person collecting carts while waiting for gas, entering or exiting. read more

How have I NOT reviewed this Costco? It always has parking, friendly employees, and SIX self check out lanes to speed the check out process. It's easy to get into and out of, and I usually find everything I want and need and then some. Today I came for the Liquid-IV packs. But I was tempted by the protein drinks and bars, and added those to my basket. I got to try the Crunchy Cheetos (so good!), but resisted the urge to buy. Such a big bag! I also tried a few other items, but resisted temptation. Before I leave, I'll swing by the gas pumps to check out the prices. I might get gas since I'm down to a quarter tank! read more

Love Costco but this Costco is small for the area it covers. You have to go right when they open or everyone is on top of each other (every Costco seems to be like this but especially this one). The food court needs more seating areas. The gas station lines are long and slow. I really don't know how to get gas here besides waiting 30 mins. read more

Today 3/25/25 @ 3:50pm went to Costco to get gas and i. Front of me there was an old couple (in there 80s-90s age). I saw this couple were having an issue pumping gas and they were trying to get the Costco gas guy attention but he was on his phone. So i got out of the car and help the couple while i was talking to the old man, the Costco guy finally came over and yelled at the three of us saying"what are you all doing!? I told him what do you think we are doing. I am helping them since you were not coming to help them. He was very rude to the old man. Gave him an attitude because he was holding the line. The old man told was very upset. I do wish this message gets to Administration. Costco employees are rude not all of them but most of them. They are always in a rush and do not give a good customer service. What happened to be kind and courteous to the elderly. This is not the first time I had witness the rudeness. I have seen it in the store as well at the check out line. Costco do better!!!! Train your employees better, teach them customer service and at least patience with your elderly customer. Tires! We were on a weekend getaway and got a flat tire. This Costco was the only retailer in the area that had ours in stock. They got us an appointment for the following morning, and we were back on the road quickly. And their tire prices were lower than the other stores. Very pleased -- as usual -- with Costco. read more

My husband and I decided to check out Costco on Linebaugh because we needed a few bulk items and some groceries. We were in the area and stopped over on a Saturday. First mistake. We quickly entered the building and realized there was an influx of people there. Obviously, we realized it was due to the weekend, but we were a little caught off guard on how packed it was. We grabbed a cart and were hopeful to start our trek in and out of there. We were constantly cut off by other cart drivers and items were literally being grabbed off the shelf right in front of us. It was an absolute chaotic experience. We waited 20 minutes in the check-out line due to how busy it was. Normally, we are patient and this time, too, we were, but we just felt rushed and overwhelmed. We will be sticking to going to the Brandon location from now on! read more

I guess it won't let me do a review of just the pharmacy, but it is Dr. Veekas that blew me away. He took the time to go over a conflict with my medication that my doctor and other pharmacist had missed. Even opened up the pamphlet to double check the dosing and was able to explain things to me in layman's terms. I'm very thankful for his time and consideration. The techs at the facility seemed like they couldn't be bothered to assist people though. The store in general was tiny and very poorly laid out. To get to the tire shop, you need to go in through the exit, the parking lot was weird, and the store was so small it didn't carry a lot of the staples I'm used to in the Clearwater store. read more

Costco on Linebaugh Ave Tampa responded very well to COVID with mandatory masks for all employees and customers, social distancing and sticker placements on the floors by checkout, sanitized shopping carts, sanitizing wipes by the entrance. To quote one of this Costco management team....on this day, this Costco is a "cluster-fu*k!" I Needed protein drinks (out at Wesley Chapel)...so I called to verify actual amount.....was told they "don't hold items"....so I left immediately. Arriving on Wednesday 4/20 @ noon-ish....it took three separate employees to "care enough about my business" to actually locate these drinks---NOT WITH THE REST OF PROTEIN DRINKS! Yeah, I know; illogical and absurd. Keep up, now..... I grabbed 6 cases. Went to self check line (where customers cut in whenever they wanted)....SO MUCH FOR KEEPING IN LINE. All six of the self check registers were continually flashing---requiring staff to manually over ride. SO......LONG DANG TIME! AS I was leaving, I mentioned to a member of management how my "quick trip" for one item took over hour and half....he told me "entire Costco IT system was crashed---offline. So each transaction must be done manually. HARD TO IMAGINE this ever happening at Sam's Club.....my final comment was if it "did" happen @ Sam's, they'd buy me a drink and slice o'pie for all the trouble "their system failure cost!" The manager snapped a terse "NO!" and turned away. Tired of the inconsistency in service at this location. Im not one to cut down the tree over a few rotten apples. But when you pay $120 a year to shop here you expect more. This was my first time in about ten years of shopping at Costco that I had to file a formal complaint over the poor service that Ive experienced at this location. Again, nothing but love and respect to those that do their job and do things the Costco way, but if Im going to pay to shop here Ill go with the old saying. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Its about the little things, saying thank you, have a nice day, maybe box up your groceries. I wont mention any names on this post but they know who they are. The blame has to be put on poor training and not hiring qualified candidates. I expect more out of Costco. My husband & I were at Costco located at 8712 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33625. We each have our own Executive Membership and have been loyal members of Costco since they opened their doors in Tampa. We were there on the weekend and naturally the store was crazy busy, however with the floor layout the traffic of people flows pretty smoothly. I love Costco because you can watch your Costco TV, wearing Costco Kirkland underwear and eat Costco Kirkland ice cream all at the same time! I enjoy the Costco shopping experience checking out their new products and routinely buying my favorite products as well. This store is very well stocked, exceptionally clean and overall the majority of their employees provide great customer service. Unfortunately when we were there over the weekend it was an unpleasant experience. There were two very long lines which is expected at the self check out lanes on weekends. As we were waiting in line a Costco employee asked for our Costco membership cards which we graciously showed him each of our cards with no problem & he thanked us. The issue was when my husband and I got up to the self check out register. I scanned my Costco card first and started scanning my items. A Costco employee, who was a large sized black male named Jewel, rudely came up from behind my husband and I which startled me, he grabbed the hand held scanner and started scanning are large items without our consent. I said "please stop because my husband and I are using two separate cards?" He gave me this dirty look and continued scanning more items and nastily said then get in back of the long line in the other lane, because this lane you can only use one card!" I told him their is no sign stating that and we have been doing this since this store opened, in addition while we were standing in line, the employee checked both our cards and did not tell us to change lanes. Jewel did not want to hear it and starting making condescending remarks about this is how it is now and just plain racist & mean spirited. My husband thought Jewel was a female, I thought it was a male because he had a male voice, male looking body and demeanor. Jewel needs serious training on boundaries and customer service. Nevertheless, I did not appreciate being treated poorly and it could have been handle in a more professional manner. There is no reason to be rude and nasty to loyal customers. As we exited the store, their were no decent boxes to load our over $200.00 worth of groceries and as we were walking closer towards the exit door there was a long line for the heavily armed employee with his highlighter to cross out our receipt (lol). What has happened to Costco's Mission to QUALITY customer service and taking care of their members? This Costco shopping experience was condescending, insulting and down right offensive. I want to share an unprofessional store experience that I had with Ishmale at Costco Tire Shop at 8712 W. Linebaugh Ave, Tampa FL. On 09/13/24, I called Ishmale concerning a tire order. Ishmale told me he could get the tires faster if I came into the store and ordered the tires. I drove 43 miles to order the tires. The tires did not arrive for my scheduled install appointment on 09/20/24 at 1000a like Ishmale previously told me. No worries. On 09/25/24 at 543p, Costco left a message that my tires arrived. I called back at 604p to schedule my appointment. Ishmale told me to go to Costco.com to make the install appointment because the system was down and Ishmale hung up the phone. I called Ishmale back at 604p for better instructions, but Ishmale hung up the phone a 2nd time like a schoogirl. I called back at 605p and Ishmale immediately placed me on hold for 9 minutes. (See Attachment for Ishmale's phone log.) Around 610p I spoke with the store manager, and he had Perry call me from the Costco tire shop. At 621p Perry apologized for Ishmale's unprofessional behavior and Perry offered to make my tire install appointment over the phone because the system was working. Ishmale was dishonest again! Perry explained that I should not have to deal with Ishmale's unprofessional behavior because I was a paying customer. Perry said he would get to the bottom of things and call me back to proceed with my install. On 09/26/24 at 1025a I called the Costco tire shop back because I did not hear from Perry. I was told that Perry was not working that day. On 09/27/24 at 1041a, I requested a tire purchase refund of $1,221.89 because of Ishmale's unprofessional behavior and I did not want to deal with Ishmale when I brought my vehicle in for the 6000-mile tire services. Additionally, on 09/27/24 at 1031a I was standing in line, and I spoke with a young lady in her sixties. She explained that Costco made her come into the tire shop to make an appointment. That's sad that a young lady in her sixties had to come into the tire shop just to make an appointment! This Costco has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life at any store. The greeters at the door are ALWAYS rude. It's not a big deal if it happens once maybe twice but I have had over 10 different experiences where the staff were exceptionally rude. My experience today was a perfect example. According to the snippy man at the door I couldn't come in. I didn't know that they only let people over a certain age in at 9:30 because I come in all the time at 9:30. But today they wouldn't let me in at 9:30 because they said it's for a special group or people over 60. No big deal right? As I drove away frustrated because this is the only time I'm able to get food during the day as I work long hours - I see them let a guy who could be not a day over 40 just walk in without even questioning him to see if he was a first responder or nurse or something like that. It's not like they could tell he was a regular because he was wearing a hood and a mask... Absolutely ridiculous I cannot stand this Costco. read more

I have to say that every employee we have dealt with here has been friendly and helpful- especially as we prepare for Ian. We called early, as recommended, to find they received their generators this AM, so we drove the two hours to buy one. The store opened early to accommodate those preparing for the storm and they were helpful and had all items in stock you could need. We appreciate the office staff who answered the phone after 7am and the stock crew who helped lift the very heavy generator into our vehicle. And membership service was great also. So I brought my wife's car in to get new tires put on it. I arrived at 10:20 with an appointment at 10:30 at 11:10 a.m. the vehicle was not even in the the garage yet they left it in the parking lot. Then when I question about it I got interrupted and then as I'm standing there while he's complaining about me he and another employee started saying that I had some sort of attitude when all I did was ask a question. I love Costco! This location is great, it's right off the expressway so it only takes me a quick 30 minutes roundtrip. Gas is always super cheap and even when the lines are long, which is quite often, it moves pretty efficiently. Another plus is it's right next to Starbucks (if you're basic like me and like to have your coffee and shop). I typically do my Costco shop once a month, it's only the 2 of us so if I went anymore we'd have to buy a new house to store it all in. The employees are always friendly and prices are fantastic. I buy all my household items here, fresh meats, frozen foods. It's a hit or miss with the produce, sometimes it goes bad way too fast, but otherwise I've had no issues. This location also has a liquor store, which is great. I'll do my bulk shopping and then stop by to grab a few things after I've loaded up the car. The only problem with this Costco is that it's ALWAYS busy. I'm sure every Costco is like this, but it really is always packed. You want to go on the weekends? Forget about it. I've found the best time to come is first thing in the morning, as soon as they open (weekday if you can). Get there a few minutes before open, grab your gas and then head inside. You'll be in and out in no time. read more

What's not to love?! Ginourmous, clean, brand new store, cheap gas, and plenty of parking make this Costco a treat to visit. I don't mind that they ask you for a membership card on your way in; it's a great way to stop people from sneaking in... especially when the place is about to close. ;-) I have gotten gas here twice now, and both times it was cheap, easy, and quick. They only let you pull in one way to get gas, so you should never see a car coming towards you as you enter the station. You pull in, swipe your membership card, and then it asks you for your credit card. Last time I was here they actually had workers in green vests directing cars to the pumps. There is an abundance of oversized carts on your way in-make sure to grab one or you'll rue the day. As I'm sure you know - everything that is sold here comes in larger-than-life sizes. Favorite purchases this past trip: their version of ibuprofen-five hundred tablets for under nine dollars, fresh rotisserie chicken wraps-four pieces for nine dollars, and lastly, a salsa in the non-refrigerated section called Mateos Gourmet Salsa. Spicy and delicious - this is a must buy! I haven't checked out their specialty shops for eyeglasses and tires, or their $1.50 hot dog special, but I'm sure I will in the future. I was concerned that check out would be a semi-nightmare, but they seemed to have plenty of efficient cashiers working, and the lines all moved in a timely fashion. I've been to this Costco everyday since it opened. I used to go to the one in Clearwater at least once a month, but usually 3 times a month and I'd spend hundreds of dollars on every visit to make the drive worth it...NOT ANYMORE! Now I can stop in for one thing since this one is literally 2 minutes away! It's wonderful to have close by. I've been a Costo shopper since it opened in Hawaii in 1988. My mom would buy me the big jar of huge red round lollipops (they looked like blowpops, but they were better) and I would sell them at school to my classmates for 50 cents a piece. We would eat pizza and hot dogs before leaving Costco and to this day the same pizza and hot dogs are available and taste exactly the same...at every one I've gone to throughout the U.S. I get a lot at Costco because of the quality items that you just can't get in most grocery stores. We buy all of our meat at Costco unless there's a BOGO or good sale elsewhere. I get agave, coconut oil, protein bars, snacks, fruits, veggies, vitamins, office supplies and most of all prepared foods. The quality of items in the frozen and refrigerator is so good! You can get legal seafood clam chowder, the best cheeses, even D.O.P. from Italy, deli meats and desserts. I bought my daughter's keyboard here. Christmas time costco is the best place to Christmas shop. I even buy clothing as they bring in items and once they're gone they may not come back....I'm still looking for the puma seamless work out panties that I bought a box of 2 years ago! The quality and customer service is so much better than Sams and BJs. You can return anything to Costco for any reason. They really treat members good. I am an executive club member since I shop here so much and spend thousands. My rebate check always covers my membership cost. What's great is that the snack bar/cafe has added some really good items over the years. In addition to the pizza and hot dogs, we get smoothies, churros, brisket sandwiches and the yummy turkey provolone pesto sandwich! With it close by it's so hard not to stop in for lunch or have pizza night! No more driving a half hour home with a Costco pizza! read more

The staff here are super friendly and helpful! The parking here always feels less crowded than the Costco in Wesley Chapel. They have tons of gluten free choices here, including Jalapeño Chomp Sticks (10/10 would recommend!) and Boom Chicka Pop kettle corn (so good!!!) They even have Alba Bontanica sunscreen that is certified gluten free. I always come to this Costco over the Wesley Chapel location if I'm on this side of town! read more
