PART 1**** Dear Walmart Team and anyone this may concern, I have been a lifetime customer since I was born (my mom told me) and anyone who knows me can vouch that Walmart is my favorite store from food to clothes ( and I'm not ashamed to say that). I am writing this to tell my story and the situation that happened to me and my friend on January 22, 2021 at the Raytown, MO location (01940) at around 2:30 pm. This is our first time there at this location only because we didn't want to drive all the way to our favorite one and we happened to be in the area. We had been shopping for almost an hour for our food list for the month and household items. When we were ready to check out, we headed to the 'Scan and Go' with our cart full of items. We usually use Scan and Go because there are faster lines and since Covid we'd rather do it ourselves and avoid one less person to possibly transfer any germs. On our way into the check out station, we passed the employee in charge of the scan and go. We rang up items and bagged them in 2 bags. As we continued to scan more, the employee with a yellow vest walked up to us with a rude tone and an attitude saying "NUH UH!! YOU need to GO to a regular cashier"(I felt she was acting as if we were stealing). And as my friend proceeded to head to an actual cashier, she stopped her and said "NO!!YOU CAN'T TAKE THOSE BAGS!" and grabbed the bags we had already scanned in and dumped it back in our cart. At this point she already embarrassed us and now she has made us uncomfortable and this really hurt, especially mentally. So at this point I'm frustrated and feel we've been mistreated for doing something we normally do at other locations. I asked her if I can speak with a manager or supervisor and as her demeanor disregarded me, she pointed towards a direction and said, "he's down there". I asked, "ok, can you get him for me?" And she said, "aren't you walking that way anyways, you can get him". I asked, ``You don't have a phone or walkie to get him if you or a customer needs him? Plus I want to stay here where the incident happened." She said,"nope.you can go down there". So at this point my anxiety and mental state is all the way messed up right now, because I never expected my favorite company to be treating me this way. So unintentionally my tone is louder and I ask her "Where is the sign that says I can't have a lot of stuff to be in the 'Scan and Go'? I've done this before and never been told this. And there's no sign that says, I can't have over an amount of items to use 'Scan and Go'." I told her she was not nice and being rude when she could've asked us nicely or even said please or thank you. And she's getting louder and saying a lot things other than giving me answers to my questions or concerns. And at this point the site police officer comes up to us(just hearing us), and says "let's bring it down". I told him I was sorry and that I was frustrated and have been mistreated. He was real kind in giving me advice on how to handle this. And simultaneously the store manager (Josh H.) walks up to me and the cop steps away. With out introducing himself he stands in front of me (his demeanor was standoffish as if he didn't care what I have to say). So I started telling him the situation, how she treated us as if we were stealing, being rude, and dumped our items, and she didn't want to get the manager/supervisor for me. I then told him, "I asked her when did you guys start doing this and there is no sign stating I have to have a certain amount of items or less" and he cut me off and said "DO WE NEED A SIGN!!?" I said something like, yes so customers don't get confused and for liability. And he said, "NO we don't need a sign". I said ok and continued explaining, he said something in between my sentences and I said, "sorry didn't mean to cut you off" and he said, "THIS IS THE SECOND TIME." I asked him when was the first time, and he couldn't answer. So I continued on and now I'm frustrated and hurt. I told him, I may look young and dumb but I'm not. I know this is not right and can possibly be disputed up the chain and even in court. He yelled, "OH YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT COURT?!I CAN'T TALK TO YOU NO MORE, BYEE!" The cop came and said the manager wanted me out. I have bad anxiety and it was so high at that point that I was so mad and hurt I got sad. I was pissed I was feeling this way but I couldn't help it. So I walked out with the officer who was giving me some words of encouragement and it made feel a little better but I was still so mad I walked out crying. If you don't have anxiety, it's like wanting something or wanting to do something so bad and you can't because you chose not to or don't feel like it. It's conflicting thoughts in your mind that can easily make a small situation seem so enormous. But this was a big thing for me, I don't like bullies and I was bullied and I tried to do the right thing and talk with management there and got more bullied and disrespected. read more

PART 2**** Never once did I lose my cool and cuss or allow it to be physical and all that put together, filled inside me and I had no choice but to cry. I just couldn't believe that this happened even after speaking to the store manager. A lot of you reading this who may not know me, may come up with some situations in your head as to why I may have been treated this way. Or maybe I'm lying because it's too bad of a story to be true. Well, if you want to see my character first hand. Ask the people who can get a hold of the footage from this location. Not just to see the confrontational situation but to see what I did right before and after. I was in the pharmacy area where the vitamins are. I was looking for a while trying to find vitamins I can use that'll help me be healthier. While I was there I helped a random lady look for what she was looking for for about 5 or 7 mins until we realized they didn't have it. Then moments later an older lady was looking for BC powder for pain. She even asked an employee to look for it and the employee told her she didn't have it. As she walked away I looked around to see if maybe I could find it. And sure enough a minute after she had walked away I found it. I literally walked around the whole Walmart 2 or 3 times looking for her. Until I finally found her right before we went to check out. She mentioned she was in pain and she was very happy I found it, even asked the price and I told. She thanked me and I left. Some may say I'm "extra" or that was unnecessary energy wasted, but to me that lady was in some kind of pain and you only use BC powder if you want fast results. So I was happy to make sure she didn't feel pain as soon as possible. I felt really good and happy that I could help her out. So for all this negativity to happen right after screwed my mental up bad. Even after that situation happened to us, after walking out being escorted by the police officer. I heard a pound on a window next to my car. I figured it was some kid making a beat but something told me to look at the eyes of the person just in case. So I got the tears out my eyes and looked, and it was an elderly lady saying she was locked in the car. So I opened the door for her and helped her out. She was so happy and said she couldn't get it opened and her daughter was shopping and she wanted fresh air and to smoke. So she thanked me and after having a good conversation with her I gave her a hug and she said she loved me and I told her I love her too. I helped her back in as her daughter came back out and waved goodbye after shutting her door for her. The point is, people who really know me, know I'm a good person with a good heart but just in case you questioned my character, you can check cameras. I am not writing this to get anyone to feel bad for me or to get any attention for myself. Matter of fact it's embarrassing, but I want to make sure that this never happens to anyone again at this location by the two involved especially the store manager. I was just on the phone for almost 5 minutes. I mean I was on the phone. Nobody ever answered the damn phone. You people suck when it comes to customer service/relations. My wife tells me we need to stop wasting our time with you bunch of clowns. I'm starting to understand why she feels that way. When I'm in the store, I have to look all over the place to find help when needed. I won't even get started on your check-out bs. Hire some f'n people! God know you can afford it. read more

Actually not a bad Walmart. It's actually kind of quiet and clean. Workers look like they're actually working unlike some other Walmart's. Not bad service either. They didn't ask questions when we tried to price match. read more

The cart boy was cussing at my dogs and flipping them off as I was walking up to my car, when my boyfriend said something to him he said he was going to kick my dogs, what kind of people do they have working here?? read more

Always busy and slow. Typically messy, bathrooms usually dirty. I never have a great experience shopping at this Walmart. Even my parents, who live closeby, drive the extra distance to go to Lee's Summit. read more

Poor experience in the parking lot "bums" walk up to you and ask for money. Security should be better. Police are there daily for shoplifters. Don't feel safe at that store read more

Need more checkouts open or more self checkout. 5 checkout lanes are not enough at 10am. Management is clearly not into customer service

this store i s horrible-rude employess-its not my fault youre ghetto and make minimum wage-if you dont like get another job!!

Our family comes here all the time. We have a family of 6 that always needs something...they always have what we need.

The items price at the billing counter are higher than those displayed at the lanes.
