Stop me if you've heard this before, I went in to get one thing and I walked out with several things. But I did have some questions since I was from out of town for my cashier and she answered them nicely. Great selection, they weren't out of stock, prices were accurate once I got to the register. I want it good parking and that was there too. I know sometimes you're looking for prime examples for Walmart people/walmart village but trust me they're going to be pretty and non pretty people at those locations, so keep searching, but I don't think you'll find that here. read more

10/21/21: I stopped by looking for clothing for a family member who had just moved into skilled nursing. This Walmart is tiny & didn't have much in the clothing department to choose from. I got what I could which was like 2 outfits. The store was tidy and clean, but it was packed with people. The staff wasn't the friendliest & weren't helpful at all. Self-checkout was disorganized. I truly can't stand any Walmart to be quite honest, but it was the closest place to the facility. I would go back for food but definitely not for clothing. read more

This Walmart is better than the one near my house back in California. It's smaller so you do t get the crowds. It has your basic Walmart shipping stuff and I found what I needed in the grocery department and great prices. read more

Most Walmart's are alike, but the staff here was above par, literally walking us to the items we were looking for! However, there was ony one cashier open which made for a long wait in line. They did provide several self checkouts if you chose that route. Side note: The office supplies/printer cartridges were higher than at the big box office stores... surprising. read more

Wally World has everything you need!! Good customer service too! I went in to get wireless headphones and ended up getting the new J labs and it was missing the charger. My girl Charlene was more than willing to check it out and replace with a new box that had the charger in it and the J labs are fantastic wireless and keep charge really nicely!! read more

Wish I could give negative stars. I arrived to the pharmacy at 10 am, when they opened. The pharmacist showed up at 10:10 and had forgot his keys. He slowly walked around to find them. I think we all have been in a Walmart, however this one is a little different. It is NOT one of those Walmart Super Stores. It is not crowded, and you can make your way around without bumping into every Tom; Dick and Harry. However, I personally do not think Walmart prices in the Grocery line is less expensive than Food Lion or some of the other Grocery Stores here in town, unless you go to a High End Grocery. The people who work in there all seem to be extremely friendly and they also have a Redbox within the Main door.... The parking lot is still clean, which is the biggest problem I have in going to MOST Walmarts.... the Parking always seem like it belong in Mexico with all the trash and stuff thrown out of someone car. I feel like I am walking into a Third World Walmart store most of the time.... So, lets see how long this Parking Lot stays clean. IN addition, you ONLY have One Entrance and Exit into this Parking Lot.... I feel, like I am in a maze to find the EXIT. New Wal-mart in town!! Even thought I am not a big fan of big box stores, I just love going to newly opened businesses. It just gives me a sense of adventure and thrill even though I already know what to expect. If you think the Wal-mart off of Parham near Regency is too small/crowded, I think this may be your new go to Wal-mart b/c it's the complete opposite, for now. Although it's a super center, it's still a good size to offer everything you need but not so big that you feel like you're in a shopping mall. This location is extremely clean and had lots of visible employees. I was in and out in record time. The parking lot is a little bit on the smaller side but compliments the store well. read more

This is a Brand New Super Walmart. Everything looks as one would expect for a new location. All is clean. The Exterior appears Upscale but inside it is what Walmart is known for discount pricing. The floor is polished. The staff is nice. Coming is is a little weird because you are slightly askew in traffic flow. You will have to see what I mean. Restrooms are tucked away too. read more

This is the worst experience I have had in a store. Picture this: It's the morning of a big move and when we get to the new house, we realize we need a money order. Shouldn't be a problem, right? I go to 7/11, they can't do money orders without cash. No sweat, I'll go to Walmart. Here is where things go downhill... I called beforehand to make sure they could accommodate my request. They said yes. Ok, so a few minutes later, I show up and walk to customer service. First of all, though, the greeter was not happy to see me. I let that slide. Walked to customer service, asked for the money order. They told me they would have to split it up into three transactions. Again, no problem. Something went awry when the person helping me switched from doing one big transaction to three smaller ones. All of the original money orders popped out and one of them was invalid. Her register was showing that an amount had been taken out, but I hadn't been charged for the amount. So because of that discrepancy, her cash register had to be audited. The manager, Judy, who came over, was a sorry excuse for someone in management. She had an attitude with the employee who was helping me which was unnecessary and unprofessional to do in front of customers. I was given the runaround for over an hour until someone came to me and explained the situation. They claimed they couldn't do anything about the mixup. I told them I wouldn't accept that answer and they needed to figure it out because I was on a time crunch with moving. Well, they called someone, somewhere out there and miraculously my problem was solved. Meanwhile, I'd gone into the store to buy a couple of things and the cashier who checked me out was like a zombie. I just can't deal with Walmart in general, but especially this one. I am not a Walmart person, but this store is making me a convert! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the store is clean and well organized, prices are very competitive, and since it is new the store isn't crowded. I just moved my prescriptions from Walgreens (and I love Walgreens!) to this store since I will save $60 a month! Im simply not a fan of this walmart. They call it a supercenter but it is smaller than any other walmart Ive ever been too. It feels claustraphobic like the racks are all crammed together. The school supply section in this store leaves much to be desired.. there are only like 2 1/2 aisles of stuff whereas the short pump or mechanicsville store have several aisles. I have to admit I was a little worried. Which meant I didn't have faith in humanity or Walmart's HR department. Tiffany and Taneka changed that... The story begins when I ordered a Vizio Smart TV 39" and a $20 tilt wall bracket online. Both of which I was not able to find in Richmond let alone at the advertised online price. On top of that Walmart has a free 2 day delivery... how could I go wrong? Come to find out I am smarter than I look and all went as planned except for the television was not registering upon its arrival, so it was showing "in store" just not ready for pick up. I anticipated the worst. I am gonna have to wait an hour for someone to find it and I will catch an attitude because no one understands that a promise is everything to me. Not the case at Forest Dr. Tiffany greeted me with a smile at 736am and immediately went to work. Get this, 10 minutes later she had located both products... got a manager, Taneka to resolve and we were all laughing as I walked out the door. Tiffany and Taneka gave me no trouble. The only thing Walmart is consistent in is their inconsistency. This is a place with great prices, and bad service. The up side they added a lot more self checkouts. This will help with the 100 people in line with 2 cashiers. If you become a regular, and can get in and out without talking to anyone you're one of the lucky one's. You'll probably love the place. Walmart is my go to store for so many things. I stay away from produce and meat but they are great for everything else. This is the only Walmart I go to because it's my nearest one. I've never had issues with customer service. All my cashier have been nice and very professional. The girls that work the floor in the clothes department have been friendly. This has to be the worst Wal-Mart in RVA. They seem to employ a lot of people, all of whom are very good at standing around. I went in to do a simple return, waited 10 min in line (5, yes FIVE, people working at the return desk doing nothing other than chatting). My simple return took about 10 min, +10 min waiting. By this time there were SIX absolutely useless employees behind the return desk. Other than horrible service, this WM does not stock the variety of mdse found in larger stores, and aisles at this WM is usually pretty junky. Save your time, shop somewhere else. read more

I now understand why this Walmart has two stars. Their is a cashier there that is rude and lacking knowledge. Josh the manager explains her to be a more seasoned worker. So I asked what did that mean to him. He said that she had been there for 10 years. Due to covid 19 I bagged 2 avocados and 1 cucumber in a clear vegetable bag so that she would not have to touch them with her germs from her gloves. You know I could have checked myself out but I figured the cashier is doing nothing but moving her lips so I figured I could help her keep a job. Now when I walk up register the store manger another associate and the cashier were talking about the miseries of the job while I'm standing there. Cashier proceeds to take out my 3 items to weigh them after i told her you don't weigh cucumbers and avocados. She proceeds in front of the other two to argue the point and saying you do suppose to weigh those items. Well ignorance is bliss!! It's really said that this store is the closest to my house yet I will go WAY OUT OF MY WAY to avoid this store at all cost. Waited patiently for my turn at Vision Center, and in the middle of placing order, a customer service employee physically ushered a couple in between me and Vision Center employee, not to mention within a foot or so if me physically, began talking over us, completely ignoring me. We've looked all over richmond for this, they wouldn't sell it to me even after I said I'd pay full price. If I am going to a Wal-Mart in the Greater Richmond area, it is going to be this one. It was just built last year and is still kept nice and clean. This Wal-Mart is not overwhelming and is just the right size. Keep in mind, you probably will not be able to get all of your fancy groceries at this Wal-Mart because of its size but they do have the basics. For it's size there is very limited variety. The spice section is lacking basic necessities for recipes so you'll end up needing to make multiple trips. They also have samples out which is a nice touch, but the sandwich sample tasted old. Self checkout broke and couldn't scan, took forever to fix. Overall, it's a not great Walmart. The convenience factor is why I shop there and when you can only get half your grocery list there, you lose it's only advantage. read more

Their money center and customer service department are the same place, which is common for a smaller Walmart like this, but their money order machine is out of order more often than not and there's usually only one person working which makes is very inconvenient for pretty much everybody. I had a really bad experience at this Walmart and it all stemmed from the fcashier refusing to listen, not only to me, but his own co-worker. I was using my company credit card to purchase back to school items for events in the upcoming days. I had made such purchases at this location in the past because its closest to my office. Some of the items I picked up were bulk and while he dumped them out another cashier asked that he scan them in as quantity. He refused and after we watched him dump everything out and then not place them back in as such he deactivated my PIN on my card by totaling me up as a P. O. I found this out as I had to call my CC issuer and she immediately stated this is what he did. He debated of course. The manger took care of my purchase and explained the steps and yes, the cashier chose to press P. O. We all make mistakes, and I surely will make my share but why sit there and debate back and forth with the customer? Target is around the corner and while I try to be frugal with the corp card.....yeah many are saying "I would have left that basket right there". Companies MUST make sure they have the right personalities interacting with their customers. Won't close down Walmart. Lol. But you get the picture. read more

Usually my 60 year old disabled mother and I have an enjoyable and very good customer service experience going to the store. There is an employee here by the name of JAMIESHA who had the coldest and rudest attitude I have ever seen. If you go to the checkout line and you see her name go to another register. I spoke to both a supervisor and a manager on site as well as contacted corporate. No one should be talked to and given horrible service like that. You have a small job greet the guests ring up the the items thank them for shopping at Walmart period for you to be yelling and barking back at us was highly unacceptable. I hope the appropriate actions are taken because Bad Eggs like her ruin a good customer service store like this one. I really hope she is reprimanded. Online ordering for store pick up at this location is a joke.... not to mention you call the store and no one answers the main line. Between the online orders storage room not being accessible due to a faulty lock that management already knew about and did nothing according to "Joseph" a front end manager who has a cocky attitude!!! Let's not even get started on their incorrect price signage. The shelf will say one price and then the register will say another. The store is very small to begin with...then they take two isles and make them a cluttered mess of overpriced clearance that goes nowhere... it just compiles up and up...If your looking for soggy outdoor furniture in saturated boxes or rain rusted bikes kept in the topless garden center... don't look for a deal .... you only get 10% off again according to "Joseph"...also the garden staff have little to no knowledge in that department. Although some of the employee's are wonderful at greeting customers this store is still a disorganized mess of what seems to be a bunch of employee's running around like chickens with their heads cut off with no direction. Not very satisfied with my experience there.... and considering this is a new location you would think everything would have been set in motion for a smooth opening and exceptional experience to the customers visiting this new location. read more
