Several towns along the "path of totality" - small to mid-sized - formed the 2017 Nebraska Eclipse Coalition, to attract and entertain tourists like me and my Beloved with events, speakers and promotional materials that guided our decision to visit. The Coalition included Scottsbluff. So we breakfasted at Shari's Café & Pies - a sort of mashup of Denny's and Marie Calendar's - and at about 9 a.m., crossed the highway to wait for darkness in the parking lot of the local Target store. This review is written to thank Target's management for allowing our group of 30-or-so cars to tie up space for the couple of hours it took for the eclipse to happen. While their decision wasn't entirely altruistic - my wife, along with a number of other visitors, used the downtime prior to "totality" to shop - the store's staff was nonetheless gracious and neighborly, just what one would expect to find in a small town on the far western edge of Nebraska. What's more, the Scottsbluff Target was good to their employees, allowing them to step outside during totality so they wouldn't miss the remarkable event. Today, even though the price is written right where the cashier could see it, I was charged more than the posted price. It's not the first time either. Granted it's only a few cents here and there and I didn't have time to argue. Cashier just said she was sorry and they must have changed the price in the computer. If you can, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

The lady in front of us had 12 packs of sodas and he was hitting them down hard with a sigh of discussed because he had to walk around the counter and use his little scanner tool and just absolutely rude uncalled for we got up there, and he was slamming our fruit down, pretty hard, not did not say hey how are you today or go screw yourself nothing very discouraging for someone who works in the customer service and his name is Balint so today he may not have liked his job or he doesn't like his job not a happy person. Next time we go I'll make sure I don't go through his line. Rude absolutely rude.
