My elderly aunt bought two gift cards for our Christmas gifts. The cards were up front in the same area as all the other cards. She did not think to examine the cards and we discovered they were Microsoft cards good for gaming ONLY. We don't do that. We returned the cards and the receipts to my aunt so she could take them back to the store. When she did, Customer Service first told her she should have known the card was different because she got it from the electronic section. She did not. She wasn't asking for cash, just an exchange for different cards. Then she was told that buying the wrong card was her problem, not Walmart's. So rude! I don't live there so I couldn't go to the store directly so I wrote corporate customer service. After a month of no reply, I called, explaining the problem and asking for an accommodation or exemption. After three calls, I was told corporate could do nothing. I would have to call the store and ask for help. The manager of customer service was no help at all. I know when there are problems stores have leeway to make accommodations when they want to. In this case, they are falling back on the claim that exchanging gift cards is against policy and THAT'S THAT. No desire to help the customer. Meh. It's a Walmart. But this location is usually pretty clean and well stocked. Especially their outdoor section. Their clearance area is an utter disaster. I can barely get myself to even look. Such a mess. Bathrooms are ok. If you don't need to go, don't go. Wish they had more benches located around. And I can't seem to locate help much. Especially in the hardware and houseware areas. They have a small arcade, a glasses place, small salon, and small cell phone store inside. Their 'fresh' meat counter is a joke. I also have to really pick and choose fresh produce from this location. Not always the best. Dry goods and frozen products are priced so well. I actually find myself (if I have the time) coming here for half my grocery shopping and then going down the road to HyVee for produce, meat, milk, and bread. Usually really good about having cashiers available, and they have a self-check out that has about 6 kiosks. Photo station never seems to be open. Shoe aisle is a mess. Like, always. Lots of parking. That's nice. And their auto area has always been helpful. read more

One of the worst Wakmart's I have ever dealt with I have had numerous problems with this store . I have never not paid for my items but for some reason I have been constantly harrased by certain staff at this store . I was paying for my items one time and looked up and had 5 customer service associates standing literally on top of watching me while there were customers standing at other registers waiting for help . They have 2 leads up front who are rude to customers This store is literally a joke and the assistant manager is of no help at all he basically ignored the customers . read more

Absolutely pathetic work ethic in automotive section employees. I went in today for a simple oil change. A lady in front of me ask to get her battery replaced. She was told that they had a pending appointment in 10 minutes and she could wait to see if the appointment shows up. If not, they would take her. All the auto bays were empty! Not 1 single car being worked on. Meanwhile, 3 "techs" were standing behind the desk clerk doing absolutely nothing. I asked if I could get an oil change. They told me the same thing. I commented that no work was being done at this time. In 10 minutes, they could change the lady's battery and change my oil, and will have 1 tech left over to take care of the appointment. Called to talk to manager on site, and she said it was not her section but she would look into it. Terrible! read more

One of the worst stores I've ever had to deal with. when I go grocery shopping I try to walk up to and employee, they look at me and walk away. I will talk to tri and get their attention and they still walk away. I also bought a printer and when I got it I said it up and it won't work I have tried calling the store three times and they will not pick up their phone. read more

3 weeks ago I went to the South Sioux Walmart and bought some beer. At the self checkout there was an employee working on the station next me. Another employee came to checkout my beer. She asked me to pull my license out. I'm 66 years old. I mentioned that it seemed a little extreme. The employee next to her said the new policy is to check everyone's I d from now on. Since then I've asked other people 20 years younger than me if they were carded , They said no. It appears 2 minority employees were harassing me. Obviously it is not the new policy. We have been going elsewhere for groceries and this just happened to be convenient at the time. Management at this store is very suspect. read more

I hate the self checkouts. I like the personal touch of a cashier when I have a full cart of groceries. I am not pleased with the new store hours that have erupted due to CoVid 19. I hope they go back to regular hours soon or at least stay open til 11pm or 12. And what happened to all the price scanners they had in the stores. They were so convenient since finding an associate in most areas of the store is next to impossible. Come on Walmart you can do better. read more

Nice, well run Wal Mart. Associates all seemed friendly and eager to help. Plenty of checkout lines open which is always nice to see especially when you're in a hurry. We used the self checkout and when I scanned a case of beer there was a nice lady there in less than five seconds to confirm my age. read more

This review is for customer service in the produce section: Whenever they are out of something I ask if they have any more in the back and not one of them says they will go look they just say no which I find interesting because EVERYTIME I ask at HyVee they ALWAYS go look. I can't help but feel that they are just to lazy to go look and don't want to deal with the customer.. Walmart has better prices but very poor customer service when compared to HyVee they could learn a thing or two from them! read more

I just left this store humiliated. The workers there have zero customer service. The smug supervisor (Macey) that I had them call after 30 minutes of a electronics specialist having no clue how to verify the price of a laptop was the worst customer care I have ever seen. They had 2 laptops mounted to a display with 2 prices one was $199 and the other $549 after spending about another half hour wating for him and two others to sort out whats what I was very irritated. So I told him I felt they should honor the price they CLEARLY had on display for one of those two laptops. No apologies and a solid "im im not gonna do that" is all I got from him. At that point I told him thats not right that I have wasted a hour of my time for your stores mistake and you wont honor the price displayed. That is false advertisement. I asked isnt there something you can do. His reply was " I can fix the take but I'm not giving you a $500 laptop for $200. His attitude was clearly meant to make me feel stupid and I left the store in a walk of shame because I couldn't afford $500. It was humiliating and I will be calling corperate. Their is no such thing as customer service even more now because almost all the registers are self checkout too. Like what happened to walmart EARNING the money we work hard for? I'm totally disgusted with Walmart in South Sioux City on Corn Huskers!!!! I had a sick newborn who I was advised to get Tylenol, a humidifier, and Vick's drops. Due to the fact that my newborn was sick I figured i use the online same day service to shop for the items I needed because i had no time to shop that day. As soon as I left the physicians office i went online and placed my order. This was about 4:15, one I received the confirmation email and number. It also confirmed that my order will be ready before 8. Well let me tell you, I never received another email confirming my order was ready for pick up. So about 9:30pm I called the store and I was told that the don't have my order number or my name. Basically they never received my order, I asked her how is this possible when I have an email in my inbox from them. However, they sent me a confirmation email stating they had indeed received my order. The representative had me on the phone for about 25minutes before she decided that she should take my number and have her manager call me back. I'm still currently waiting on the call back almost 17hours later!!! I've never ever experienced such horrible service. So finally about 10:30 pm once my husband got off of work I went to the store. I was then magically given only part of my order (humidifier, and humidifier drops) they told me my credit card was not charged for the Tylenol which i have proof it was. I had no more fight in me at this point so i just left the store. Worst service ever...I would not recommend anyone to shop online for this store. It needs to be shut down, offering services that they clearly are not in the business to provide. The staff had no knowledge on looking up online orders. If you think that the management is gonna return your call, don't hold your breathe because you will pass out waiting. read more
