This review is for Walmarts Spark Delivery service & the pros & cons of working for Spark. 1st- The delivery service itself is pretty good unless the employees loading your vehicle get your orders mixed up, the driver has no idea the orders are mixed up & all bags are not labeled with customers name, therefore customer may get items they didn't order or not get everything they ordered. 2nd- Spark allows drivers to work their own hours & days & take the orders you want from the stores you want, however, during the week they aren't that busy so hope you have a main job & spark ain't it! Also, Spark rates their drivers in the app using metrics, if you don't take some of the trips that say "just for you" your metrics decrease. Once this happens you will get next to nothing as far as trip orders also, Walmart used to do a max of 2 trip orders per vehicle but started doing 3 orders & claimed that drivers would make more money... NO! And don't get me started on the 3rd floor apartment deliveries with a 40-50 lb. item listed in a large 120 quantity order & only pay $1.50 more for the apartment delivery! Some of these trips pay no more than $7 with no tip from customer! 3rd- If you like delivering, don't get your account deactivated!! Once deactivated you have to go through the appeals process online to try & get reactivated, I know of a person who has gone through the appeals process half a dozen times & been given a different reason for her deactivation each time including that they can't verify her identity!! Walmart does a background check on all their potential drivers, they have you upload your DL & insurance to their website so I'm thinking they have real morons working for them! I'm sure I've left out other cons of working for Walmart Spark....like just bc an order shows a tip doesn't mean you'll get it, customer has 24 hrs to take back a tip & some trips may have a mileage delivery of 20mi. & not pay more than $10-$15 for 3 deliveries. Don't forget your a contract laborer & no taxes are being paid to Uncle Sam & you have to pay for gas in your vehicle & do maintenance on said vehicle! That's right, get the picture? 4th- If your retired & just looking to supplement S.S. or on disability, this isn't a bad job, it's easy, not stressful & you can work just 4-5 hrs a day for a couple days a week. This Walmart is normally a great friendly place but when you have four employees standing around (all management) talking about the holidays and not assisting people in the customer line of ten people... what a horrible place. So I called Walmart today the one on N Kansas expy. I had to call the 4 times. The First Lady put me on hold and never came back the second time they patch me through to electronics. The three time I was on hold for 30 minutes. So the forth time I called back I asked to speak to a supervisor. The lady said what product are you looking for. So I asked her a second time can I speak to a supervisor. The supervisor came to the phone and said I am so sorry but let me go look for it. She was very nice by the way. But she came back to the phone and said we only have one in stock. But let me go check to make sure we have it. She came back to the phone and said it was on clearance they didn't have anymore OK fine thank you again the manager was very nice. So I decide to go take a look for myself. And guess what they had it in stock after all that. Come on Walmart we got to do better!!!!! read more

Apparently it's not a very safe place to be. Also, for some reason, the shelves have very little product on them. The greeter did everything in the world to keep from looking at me both entering and exiting the store. The girl who checked me out acted like she was in another world and didn't care how she came across to customers. Apparently the store has lots and lots of problems. More than likely because of the area in which it's located. If this is how they're going to conduct business it might be better to shut it down. Either that or clean up the neighborhood. It isn't like Walmart doesn't have the power and money to do that. read more

As I was entering Walmart on a Saturday, 10/26/19, I was dreading going in on a very busy day of the week. However, when I got to the check out line, I was met by Avery, a kind, helpful checker. The woman ahead of me had bought quite a lot; and Avery was patient and put her groceries into her basket after ringing up her items. If everyone is as helpful and cheerful as she is, Walmart would be a great place to shop. Kudos to Walmart for hiring Avery; she is a great asset to her company! Okay, I went in and bought a refill for a 5 gal water and the water machine had low pressure and I decided to go and get a refund but the lady at the customer service said just wait 5 minutes it would work again but I tried again and it still did not work and I had to wait for 2 hours just for 3 gallons out of 5, and this is terrible service and they should pay more attention to their equipment and customers, and PS I would leave a negative star and dont recommend going here.. read more

Close to the hotel where I'm staying, this is a nice Super Walmart. I can't say that it's the best walmart I've ever been in, but they were very busy on this Friday afternoon. I was able to find what I was looking for with out much problem, though trying to locate orajel was a bit of a hunt! Otherwise, it's like any typical walmart anywhere else. I wish I could give a negative star review! I've been coming to this Walmart since I was a child. I get my vision checked here, I use the pharmacy, I USE to be a repeat customer until today. I will drive 45 minutes out of my way to to avoid this store. Whoever is in charge of hiring must have had an off day when hiring an employee named Mandy Dellinger. She was aggressive and rude. I have never been treated so poorly in all of my life. Mandy needs to be fired or at least spoken to about her behavior. She is unprofessional and she is the reason that I will never return to this Walmart again. My mother was trying to by a bottle of Prosecco and I (being 26 years old) forgot my wallet in the car and Mandy screamed is out of the store and refused to sell the alcohol. I completely understand rules but her attitude is what upset me. Walmart you need to address her immediately!. read more

I dont think we've ever gone into this branch when there WASNT a problem w/ either our checkout or the person's in front of us. Their staff is always rude and super slow. Normally I would not be the type of person to write a negative review about a place like Walmart. But you have to wonder how the manager of this place is. I had only one item to purchase and was trying to check out at the garden center when I realized at noon on Monday the garden center was shut down. Of course this would've been easier to realize if they had a closed sign out. Instead I stood there for a few minutes before realizing nobody was going to come help me. That alone is completely stupid but it gets better. I was trying to find a newspaper because yesterday the Royals won the World Series and I wanted A copy of the paper. I checked the magazine rack and found that all they had was Sunday's paper. I was trying to find a line to check out with the only item I had but was discouraged When I realized the 2 open lines had 10 or 12 people in each of them. So I walked over to the self checkout where I found a stack of today's newspapers sitting still banded on the floor. Front page was Royals victory info! Exactly what I wanted! I realized immediately that nobody took the time to get off their butt and change out the newspaper with the current one. I decided to make lemonade from lemons and get me a paper. I didn't have a knife on me so I yanked to get the banding until it finally broke. Noting a burning sensation I looked at my hand to realize I'd given myself a minor cut. I got the current paper trying to keep blood off it and the others while deciding if I need to detour to the bathroom to clean up. In short order I decided to quickly check out and get to the napkins in my truck. I was happily walking over to check myself out in the self checkout when I realized all the self checkout lanes were closed down. Literally not 1 open! I turned and looked at the lines sprawling clear across the main isle. Out of sheer anger I dropped the paper and the soap on the floor and I left to go mend my cut. I'm not the person Who'd normally tell someone how to do their job but I think the general manager here would be doing himself a favor if he would actually get up early in the morning and think about how to make a store run in a clean orderly fashion. I would recommend starting by opening the self checkout lanes and maybe more than two lanes for an entire store during the rush time would be a good idea. Just saying read more

Not happy with this Walmart!!!! Couldn't find what I was for, bathroom was nasty, some staff was unhelpful, didn't have but one lane open and I was treated like I stole from Walmart! I do not recommend anyone going to this Walmart and I WILL NOT be back! read more

This Wal mart is just off i44 in Springfield. This makes it a convenient place to stop. Usually pretty easy to get in and out. Also, there us a traffic light next to the Caseys in front of the store making it easier to get on Kansas Expressway. This store is also next to a variety of other stores in a strip mall attached to the same basic parking lot. read more

You would think as competitive as shopping is and you did have your check-outs fully staffed that when a customer walks up to cashier to check out and they are standing at the opening to the lane. That they would say hello and start to walk to the register not shake their hear no and keep talking to the other cashier next to them. But when you have turned around to head back to the last cashier line then they say oh no we are open. Really poor customer service. Who's we had more choices on this side of town. read more

One of the employees here, Mandy was completely rude to my family and I. She ruined our bread by throwing tomato sauce jars on top of it, and she talked badly on the entire company. Her behavior was completely inappropriate and immature. My company would fire me if I talked badly about my store in front of the customers. 0/10 experience. I have no clue what happened in this store today, but it reeks of urine all over from the market entrance all the way to the back. There are fans up front which are either being used to dissipate the smell or dry out the urine. Throughout the store you will find packages of incense and some of them are in the meat coolers.regardless of what happened, there should be an attempt to clean the urine and not cover the smell. At first I thought the odor was from a kid who wet their pants while riding in the cart I was using. But then I noticed it when I was away from the cart. Oddly enough, two of the products I had got off of the shelf even smelled like urine. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'm not sure what the health department can do, but I will be calling them first thing in the morning to look into this issue. read more

Took kids to see shrek today. They had hotdogs and chips for a dollar!!!! Shrek was walking around the store so he played with kids. The employee's were very nice. They even took my kids to the back break room and gave them cupcakes!!! The store was clean. However some of the people that shop there..............umm please just stay home. PJS are for home ok.... Doesn't really help my on going argument of why the kids can't wear there's to school everyday. read more

Looking for an item that the Walmart app says this location has in stock, stop in and look all over and cannot find it. I asked 3 people including the absolute waste of human flesh that was the "manager" on duty and their inventory "telzon" also shows 27 in stock yet not a single employee could locate this item including Mr Worthless as shit flavored candy!!! To top it all off when i left without the item i specifically stopped there for there was a shopping cart directly on the passenger door of my 3 month old SUV because they weren't collecting the carts as needed......what a shit show even for a Walmart. read more

Store is convenient because it's close to my house, but they are constantly out of stuff or they change stock and stop carrying certain things I buy. There are never enough workers to find help and there are never enough registers open and there are long lines of people waiting to check out. If it were not for the convenience of this location and the fact that the prices are less than most places I would not shop here. They need more help all the time. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I called for help with a return that was never refunded to my account. I was told that, " I am too busy to help you right now." I called again and again and again and no one answered. When someone answered, I then spent half of my phone call being transferred between departments having to retell my story. No one can help me. I finally was transferred to someone, and I began to explain. I paused because I could hear him talking to someone else. I asked him why he was not listening, and he said he was, so I continued, but I could still hear him talking to other people. He then started to ask questions revealing he had heard nothing, so I re-explained. He started talking to me like I was an idiot. He asked me if I had the right store, I gave him the address of his store. He asked me if I was sure that my order number was the right number. He asked if it was even an order number. I do not know if I have ever had such atrocious service anywhere. He ended up saying that he would just need to call me back. I still have not been served properly. I was on a trip to get salvage parts in Springfield. But ran out of time. Decided to stay the night instead of driving hours home. I am a disabled war veteran and I was not feeling well. Casey gas let me sit and drink coffee and eat donuts until I though I could drive. I was heading to Walmart to buy multiple items. Got there and all these lights are blinking blue. I have tools and things in the truck so I park down at the empty end of the lot. I was looking at walmart items on my phone and decided to rest a few min. before going inside. Like I said, sick, weak, disabled wore a neck brace, etc. I took some medication and laid down for a few min. Then knocking on my door glass. Rent a guard told me no parking, no over night, no sleeping. I had to either be leaving my vehicle to shop or if done shopping I had to leave. WTF. I put on my boots, and got my phone, showed him I was shopping, just did not feel good to walk in yet. He waited on me to leave my vehicle, asked me questions. Then wanted to know why I parked where I did. I said, I wanted to, He told me I should move it to the other end, nope.. I will walk, maybe the fresh air will help me. I went in, bought stuff for the truck, tools, food. When leaving, I stopped at the Soda machine and bought drinks, look back and they are watching me. WTF. I go to the truck, rearrange the bed to hold my purchase, open the hood, use the towels I just bought to check the oil and antifreeze. Finish, sit down and looking at my phone for directions to the hotel, eating food form walmart and notice the security truck doing laps around me. Finally he stops and asked if I am about ready to go. I did not finish my food I just bought at walmart and had to start the truck and leave. I drove to Harbor Freight across the road to finish my Walmart supper. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. I felt threatened and harassed. More security than shoppers at a super center. There are way better places I can spend my money and time. I did nothing illegal. so truckers, dont stop, no overnight. Dont wait for people in your car, you are loitering. Dont look at your shopping list too long, you need to immediately leave to enter the store. Hell, I think I just did not move fast enough to please them. Rent a cop security, cop, judge, jury, enforcer. Glad walmart is so safe now, one less person here they will never see again. read more
