I wish this Walmart was closer to my home. It's very organized, clean, and unlike the Walmart on University Drive in Sunrise, the employees are actually nice and quite helpful. I don't get here often, but when I do, it's to pick up an online order. I had ordered a few beauty items that were only in stock at this store. The customer service set up was unlike anything I have experienced at other Walmarts in the Sunrise/Tamarac area. I checked in via mobile, when I arrived my name was up on the board, and all I had to do was sign in at the kiosk. Within 2 minutes, I swear, the guy came out from the back and brought me my stuff. In and out! I also observed the regular customer service line, and not only were the employees greeting customers with a hello (a rarity at Walmart), but the line just kept moving along, as they had all registers open. Management is definitely present and doing a great job at this Walmart. As far as Walmarts go, I personally enjoy this particular store, and it's nice to not leave Walmart with a headache, as is the case with my local Walmart stores. read more

Bought 2 lights in Cooper City Walmart, got home the box damaged and the light frame was cracked. Took to sawgrass sunrise store. Walked in at 9:02 pm & was told she was closed. Walmart is so packed of course with Thanksgiving coming up! I'm in the return line ...so long by the way. Then I get pulled from the line to another line. There was an issue with my return so I had to run back and forth several times. This in no way is a complaint! Enzo was so so so nice . I was so ready to go and get my shopping done. Found a handicapped parking with ease. I was so excited to spend but I ran into a problem. I found out this Walmart has 3 operating electric carts. And they where occupied. One customer was sitting waiting outside and refused to allow me to use it. But then I thought why? This is the Wally World around the corner from me. It's 24 hours and is usually clean. However, they sometimes have a shopping cart issue in the parking lot - the carts are everywhere. I wish people would just place their carts in the bins outside. It's only a few feet away, stop being lazy (climbs off soapbox). My family loves to come to this Walmart, I live in Brooklyn, NY, but when we visit our home away from home in Sunrise FL, we visit this Local Walmart store... Very frequently. This Walmart has everything you could think of, a bakery which bakes fresh cakes, pastries and bread daily, they also have a deli which carries hot food, a pharmacy, photo lab, clothing, general merch, even fruits, veggies and meats. We come here almost on a daily basis for any reason under the sun. Being from New York I am against shopping at big box corporate stores such as Walmart, real New Yorkers shop and support local business, but shopping at Walmart is common around here and there aren't too many other options. Walmart does slash their prices in half, (as seen on TV) and you can practically find mostly any product for less at Walmart. This location is open 24 hours which is very convenient, if I had one complaint it would be that they open more registers for shorter lines and shorter wait time during check out. read more

Look folks, it's Walmart after all. Unless you're a regular Walmart shopper, then this is just like any other supercenter location. The food quality is subpar and cheap in price, the clothing is mediocre and best for camping trips, painting jobs, or any part of your day that you don't anticipate staying clothed for very long. I come here for basic necessities with trusted brand names, like my body wash and certain hygienic products. Beyond that, maybe a quick browse in the garden section or home decorations for some inspiration. The sporting goods section fits the same criteria as above, affordable and subpar products, but that wouldn't stop me from buying something with a Gold's Gym logo on it. If I could give negative stars I would. We stopped at this Walmart on the way home from dinner to buy bullets and some other things. We needed assistance in the sporting goods section and no one was there, we walked around and finally found someone and her response was barely understandable in English but to the effect of "I think they lost the key" and she walked away. We looked around for someone else and he called over to another lady and had a whole conversation that we were not able to understand so we asked him what was going on and there was no response. We asked for a manager, and got no response. Then one woman called for help on the phone but no one showed up. We decided to leave and while walking out all three of the people who "helped" us were standing together in the garden section, one asked us if we found to key and my Husbands response was "no, so we're leaving" and her response was "he needs a hug" are you kidding me? LADIES !!! Avoid going to the make up section! It always smells like shit there in those aisles for some reason. It's like humidity poop in the air. I don't know if they have their pipes backed up or what but it's been like that for months. I can never buy my makeup/shampoo/etc. Because I can't bare the smell. And their night crew/stocking team suck. Shelves are constantly empty with products that I need, and when they are stocking up, the team barely make any effort to keep the aisles clear for customers to walk by let alone with their shopping carts. No customer service at all. No one seems to know where anything is. It's disappointing because it's so close to my house. Place is a mess, shelves are a mess, parking lot is a messy disaster and they dont have popular items in stock as far as pharmacy and other depts. AND the Walmart online said it was in stock but wasnt when I got to store. I verified w employee it was out of stock and employee said the website is always wrong. Parking lot looks like the locals throw all their garbage on ground and no one ever cleans it. Compared to Coconut Creek walmart this one is horrible! I prefer this location over the one on Oakland Park, but they do have some issues. One of them is most of the staff are rude and when they're restocking shelves they leave their cart of boxes in the center of the aisle and no one can get down that aisle. You have to play dodge ball with them pretty much to get what you need. In that same vein, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get certain things when I go there. Especially in the makeup section. They never have the brand or the type of makeup from that brand in stock. It's pretty ridiculous how every single time I go, they're empty. There's other items too that I have had this happen with. They don't restock enough. One of the only reasons I still shop at Walmart at all is the prices. They're definitely the best out there. The store is usually clean and relatively neat. read more

I give a 1 in rating due to the fact that every time I go into this Walmart the service is awful!! Seriously, can they hire people who can speak English?? I am married to a Latin man and he's even surprised at the fact that just basic English is a must . That was 1 reason and the second reason is I was there today and bought an item that I had a $10 coupon with Walmart as one of the stores that would honor it. I did not print it out but had shown the cashier the coupon with barcode and she said we do not scan coupons only paper. Walmart!!! What time are we in?? You mean to tell me that as big as you are you haven't updated your systems to scan coupons!?!?. That puzzled me bc so many other stores now days scan from your phone. If I could give a zero, I would. Their systems were down, which I totally understand, except for the fact that their Customer Service Manager, Andre, truly lacks Customer service. When he informed us that the systems were down, I asked if it was just the register we were on or all systems, considering all the other registers were moving just fine. He scoffed at me and said all of them but you can try again. I don't care. I asked if we could try another line, he responds, if you want doesn't mean it will work. I couldn't believe that THIS, this is what they call a customer service manager. Then as I pulled out my receipt to see that I was over changed for an item, as I went to inform him that they have items that are mis-marked (not asking for a refund) he looked me dead in the eyes and ignored me and continued to ignore us through the rest of our transactions. What a miserable experience. Went to garden center to pick up a few needed items. On inside of store near garden center is a cash register, manned by an island women in her 60's... slow, rude & down right nasty . I pointed out to the cashier that the total was too expensive for the few items i purchased. She stated that what you bought . I asked to see the receipt prior to paying & she totalled it out anyway.. After recieving & proof reading the reciept I noticed that she rang up the wrong price on an item that had a clearance sticker. When I addressed her about it she Asked" Whats your Problem? Then refused to address the issue and stated i had to go to customer service for an adjustment. I waisted so much time due to her inability to scan in addition to having deal with her piss poor attitude. If she were my employee she'd be on the outside looking in. If I could give this place only a half of a star I would. The only reason they would receive that is because of the product selection. Almost every single worker I have encountered is rude. They are not courteous, they take up entire aisles and make you wait. I have 3 small children that get impatient easily. Waiting 5 minutes for a worker to move because she is chatting with another worker is unacceptable. The cashier I encountered was a joke. I gave her two gift cards for my kids toys and she scanned one of them twice and told me one of them didn't have any money. I didn't notice until I had paid and gotten into my car that she was wrong and only scanned one. I could have saved my hard earned money and used the gift card but because of negligence I spent more than I needed to. My favorite Walmart location. Been coming here for years. I actually worked here for a couple of weeks too but that's another story. Open 24hrs and there's a stake and shake in the parking lot in case you need to use the rest room because the one inside Walmart never gets cleaned and smells like piss and old chicken nuggets. Like others have said, expect your normal Walmart experience here. They have recently put in self checkout lines which is great if you are looking to get in and out, but on the weekends you will still wait in a 10-15 person line. Not bad if you want to save money shopping, but expect it to be busy especially on the weekend and holidays. read more

This review specifically applies to the pharmacy. I had to deal with a pharmacy tech named Anita, who in short was extremely rude and unprofessional for no reason. As I do not have insurance, my doctor gave me a coupon upon searching valid locations with the most competitive pricing. I present said coupons to Anita and tell her I'd like to fill the prescriptions and that the doctor provided me with the coupons. Another small card was stapled onto the same coupon by the doctor containing information. Anita then bears her unsolicited attitude by saying in a snarky manner, "Well which coupon do you want me to use, I can't use both," she said while waving the paper around without looking at it. If there was a difference, I didn't know. So I responded with whichever one is cheaper (obviously) and that the doctor that prescribed the medication attached those together. I said, "I just want to know how much it is." (I already knew how much it would be...my whole reason for venturing to Walmart was because of this.) She then goes, "Well I have to put it in first" in a rude tone while simultaneously rolling her eyes, followed by, "let me see if we even have it before I waste your time." What kind of professionalism is that? She takes my paper and seemingly inputs information from it into the computer and some of my personal information. This takes about 15 minutes, with a bunch of exasperated sighs and rhetorical complaints from her saying the computer is slow. I just stayed quiet and waited patiently. Then she says to get the pricing I need to step aside and wait 5 minutes. During these 5 minutes, she attended to 2 other patients. Then she gets my attention, assuming the pricing is available. She asks, "what's your last name again?", while trying to type it in the computer. Are you serious? Why are you asking for my information again? So I questioned this protocol....I asked "are the prices of the medication not immediately available in the system?" And she snorts from her nose and responds, "well I have to type it in first." What the hell was all you did before? Finally she tells me the prices (of medications she seemingly can't remember the name or pronounce ...."the one that starts with a 'p') and the pricing is more than 300% inaccurate. I told her that with the coupon, the pricing doesn't sound right. I said the doctor researched it and it was not at that price. She goes, "doctors can look up all they want, it doesn't work like that" eyes widened. I respond, "right well i guess it's not the same as insurance,  not everyone has that luxury." So I ask, "Can we try with this other coupon (the one that was stapled to the printed paper my Dr provided)" and she takes it and starts inputting information. Then, suddenly the medications are more expensive. Oh wait,  let me click around and type some more. The one with the "p" is even more pricey. She wasn't naming the medication properly....so I ask if she is choosing the generic brand. No response. ...she is still fiddling with the computer.  Again, different pricing was announced but it was even more expensive. I patiently wait and finally she says she missed inputting something  (no clear indication of what) and she announces the proper price. She asks me to wait 20 minutes and my prescription will be ready. I already knew how much Walmart offered these medications for with said coupon. I will not return to Walmart to deal with such unprofessional and unsolicited pettiness and rudeness from Anita the lowly pharmacy tech.  She is a poor reflection of all pharmacy professionals out there for the following reasons: she is rude,  incompetent, unprofessional, disconnected from people, uncivilized, and ugly. Seriously, brush your hair, put on some clean clothes, and a little make up  would go a long way in her case. Then again, maybe her outward appearance is a reflection of her personality. Toxic people love company and her stank ass attitude reflects poorly on Walmart as a whole. read more

This WalMart is no different than any other WalMart. It has terrible employees who do not care about their jobs or their customers. The only reason it gets a one star is because their prices are cheap. It is sad to me that a company as big as they are do not value their customers more. Just because you have cheap prices shouldn't mean that you have to hire rude and horrible employees. I have been to this WalMart on 3 separate occasions and have been treated poorly each and every time. When I have asked and needed help after 20 min of waiting not one person showed up. I have even called the store and asked to speak to a manager and after 45 minutes and tons of holds I gave up. I do not recommend any WalMart and definitely not this one.
