One of my favorite Costco locations! The store is spacious, and there's a large parking lot, although it can still be hard to find a spot during busy hours. My kids especially love the bakery, and we always enjoy getting their pizza - it's honestly one of our favorite things to grab here. I also really love the floral department. They usually have a great selection of fresh flowers at very reasonable prices, with something for almost every taste. Overall, this is the Costco we come back to most often. 5 stars for Costco Instacart service. I'll be honest I hate going to the store and fighting the madness, with long lines and not enough room in my cart for all the items I need to buy. I usually drag my Grandson to follow me with an extra cart. Hate it, it's not my thing, Today I Discovered Costcos delivery service through Instacart. Same day delivery shopping. so I thought to give it a try and to be honest this will be my go to service to get my Costco goods to my house without all the hassles of store visits. I Put in my first order today just to try and experience the service. I Bought 10 cases of Costco 40 count water bottles. 1 extra large tin of coffee and 2 big bounty paper towel packs- they were marked down as a special today so I got 2 big packs. Impulse buy! Didn't need but the price was right so I got a few. When I logged into the Costco site Bounty Towel deal was a highlighted item for the day. I followed my shopper on the app and to be honest the delivery came fast and on time. The Price was right and I didn't need to get in my car to fight the chaos at the store. Delivery and tip is included in the cost. Prices are a bit higher but not much than store prices. The small increase Pays for the delivery and tip which is included in the price. Now that I know I have this service available I look forward to shopping bigger store hauls. Instacart service is included in your Costco membership. Check it out. read more

Located on Sample Road between the Turnpike and I-95, this Costco location is a middle of the road Costco. By that I mean it's not a horribly chaotic one, nor is it a chill, zen one. The parking lot right in front of the entrance is crazy but if you go further away or towards the back, it quiets a bit. Inside the store is nicely laid out, staff is a bit sparse, and samples on a weekend were ok. The lines to check out were quite a bit long and people tended to congregate in the outer lines making it hard for people to get into aisles rather than than go into shorter middle lanes or the self check out. If you're in the area, and have a little patience, it's worth a stop in to this location. read more

Had a good visit here today. Needed to return something and customer service was fast and friendly. It was crowded but lines moved quickly. This Costco is right off Powerline Road and Sample. It's so convenient and easy for me to get to. Gas is much less expensive than local gas stations, especially in Boca. Even with 18 pumps, there's always a line, but it moves quickly. Where else can you get cheap gas, a case of water and a new 85" TV? read more

Went to Customer service today to renew my membership. It took a half hour just to get them to stop trying to upsell me to the more expensive plan. The supervisor Martha came over and she was so rude. I asked her why are you speaking to me like this? I don't respond well to this kind of tone like I was a dummy. This really is the cheapest gas around. The caveat being that you must have a Costco membership card to use it. We don't go out of our way to come here...but when we are planning a shopping trip to Costco, we usually at least top off the tank. Understandably, there are long lines for the gas pumps. Each "side" has three pumps. This time, there was someone directing traffic to the lines and the pumps. That was not always the case in the past. I think it helps a bit. Luckily, the long lines move fairly fast. Some folks don't realize that you can go around someone pumping gas to get to a free pump in front of them. I've been shopping here for over ten years and typically come in at least once a week. Sometimes it's only for an item or two and other times it's like today! See the pic I posted. $$$$$$ This store is always well prepared for the crowds, properly stocked and easy to navigate! I also have the Costco Signature Visa card, which allows me to typically earn about a $600 Costco gift card each year. However, the best part of this Costco is their optometry and eyeglass department. I'm currently on my third pair from them, and I couldn't be happier. I usually deal with Tim, who is a licensed optometrist, personable, and knows exactly what he's doing! I saw him today because I accidentally stepped on my six month old pair in the middle of the night. We both laughed, and he looked at them and told me he'd be able to take care of me. I figured that meant a new pair was going to be ordered. I went shopping and returned to the optical department in about an hour and there were my glasses, completely fixed. He put them on me, did a few adjustments, and I was happy. I asked him how much, and he said, "Nothing." I asked if that was him, and he said no, that's Costco. To say the least, I was impressed! Costco team: OK I know that right now gas prices are insane, & therefore people are going insane at the gas pumps! Jumping lines, arguments etc. The people you hire to organize these lines outside need to be more efficient on organization and being watchful or get more staff. Pumps standing empty when there's a line all the way to the street. Suggestion: block exit & left turn where the line forms. Creates confusion & problems! I LOVE COSTCO! Everything is organized, the customer service is excellent, and the quality of the products is great. HOWEVER, my experience at this particular warehouse was quite disappointing. We bought an Xbox, but it turned out to be defective. When I called customer service to request a replacement, they informed me that the cashier didn't scan the item, so it wasn't recorded in my account, even though I had a receipt. Fortunately, since I have been a member for years, they switched the item for me and provided a new one, while also filing a report for the store. On another occasion, I rushed to the Pompano location to buy a KitchenAid mixer. Everything in the box was sealed, but when I tried to purchase attachments for my new machine, none of them fit. After spending hours with KitchenAid's customer service trying to understand why my new mixer wasn't compatible with their attachments, we discovered that someone had switched it with an old, outdated model. We had to return to the Costco in Pompano to get it replaced. The customer service representative simply said, "Oh, that happens." I told my husband, "NEVER AGAIN." I recommend going to the Coral Springs or Davie locations instead; you won't be disappointed! read more

The warehouse itself is nice, but it's always hectic here. I like this location better than Davie. There aren't too many employees to help you around the store. Most associates are in the clothes area folding. I think they should add more cart receptacles so they aren't scattered everywhere. read more

Everything could improve. Normally, I'm a happy Costco shopper, but today was ridiculous. In addition to the people checking card entry. There's a person station there to see if we wanted to have our membership put on automatic renew to get five dollars off at the bakery. That's one personthroughout the store there had to have been 15 people offering mediocre frozen foods or unhealthy snacks. That's 16. They no longer carry their Mexican enchilada casserole, which was excellent. They no longer carry V-8 juice by the crate. And apparently they've stopped making fruit pies. I had a water, make that two waters, a thing of decent Japanese chicken Ramen type soup, bowls, and blueberries in my basket. I've been there for Christmas and New Year's weeks or before Fourth of July, but I've never seen lines at the checkout like this and so I did something. I've never done before I abandoned my basket. I support Kosko and the fact that they've stood by DEI. That's nice but put some of those 16 people that are doing nothing constructive on the empty check out counters that could've gotten people in and out faster. To save some money on water I don't know that I need to renew my membership. Every single time I've been there since they discontinued enchilada casserole I see one to two dozen unsolved stuffed peppers. Doesn't look like they're moving. I'm very dissatisfied with the fact that favorites are gone, and the store was understaffed at the choke points that actually matter. read more

Gas prices here are always cheaper than other gas stations. The gas station has many gas filling stations. The lines can get long sometimes but usually move quick. There are indicators that tell you which has filling stations are unoccupied. There is also some staff around the gas station to help you if there is an issue. And of course, you need to have a Costco card to buy gas here. It's convenient as the Costco store and gas station are in the same location. read more

The service was horrific. I was told I needed to buy a new rim for my tire so, when I asked where does he suppose I buy a new rim at he said Amazon. I ended up calling my mechanic and explained the story and he told me to take my car to him to check out my tire... however, before I went to my mechanic I had to tell the "supervisor" here at this specific Costco about my tire and I told Alexander in the front about my other tire that needed to be checked out because of a possible nail, they still didn't do it until I repeated it again and that's when it got fixed. So they didn't fixed my tires with new nitrogen cause shortly after my tire pressure came back on. Fast forward, I went to my mechanic he check it out and said nothing is wrong with my rim, it's not cracked nor is it broken and that I would of notice if something was wrong by the way I drove my car and the way my tire would be sitting. They charge you before they know if something is wrong with your car, not one Costco has ever done this as long as I have been driving... when I asked before I knew what was wrong with my car that if nothing ends up being wrong can I get reimbursed he said I'd have to check with my manager. Now, when the manager came he said well if we refund you then we have to keep the spare on your car and put the tire in your trunk. Now, I wouldn't go back there if this was the only Costco around. The supervisor I am highly disappointed in that man and the service that was provided. One told me my hubcap is "bent" I just looked at him because it is no where near bent and if it was I think I'd had it replaced long time ago. I scheduled an appointment for the Costco in Davie, they didn't tell me that my rim was bad a matter of fact the supervisor told me I needed new tires in about 3,000-5,000 more miles. Oh yeah and I didn't need to pay for them to put my nitrogen in my tires or check what was wrong it was FREE. Now if I would have listened to this idiot of a supervisor at the Costco in PompanoI would be out of more than $100 for something that doesn't need to be replaced or "resurfaced" because I just need to get new tires down the road. Of the 3 Costcos in the Southern Florida region I've visited, this one is my least favorite. In all fairness, I came on a Sunday - what was I thinking?!? The selection is comparable to the others I frequent, but the checkout is poorly designed and causes massive congestion throughout the store = excessive chaos during peak shopping hours! The parking is also horrible, and the parking lot is like a circus. Same great deals and super cheap fast food, just a more chaotic experience. As usual, some deals on bulk items don't actually equate to good deals - so I always recommend comparing prices as you shop. read more

Wish it would be possible to speak to a representative instead of calling and automatically put on hold and you wait and wait but no one picks up you are just left on hold. When you call back again and try for another department in the hope they can transfer to a front desk Representative but that does not work they put you on automatic hold. Had 4 Michelin tires installed Saturday. 48 hrs later the tire pressure light comes on. My wife calls and was told just go to the air hose and fill it up. My claim was: You mounted them with the correct pressure, I assume. Only other thing could be the valve stem, which should have been noticed putting the air in. I could have left the car yet it would take 1.5-2hrs to get to it. Never again. read more

Be aware of Costco tire service center. I went to the Pompano Beach Costco yesterday and purchased 4 tires for over 1,200. They tampered with multiple settings in my vehicle . When I was informed the tire installation was complete, I was told my car would not start- the battery had been completely drained while in Costco's possession. Rather than acknowledging fault or offering a solution , the staff denied any responsibility and placed the blame on my vehicle. The rudeness and lack of professionalism were appalling. The store manager, Jessica, offered no support or resolution-only suggesting she could call the police for a jump start, which felt dismissive and inappropriate. Every employee refused to help jump my vehicle or call a auto service to charge my battery so so I could leave. The whole experience was not only frustrating and disrespectful but entirely avoidable. At no point did I receive an apology or appropriate customer service. For a loyal customer who made a significant purchase, this treatment was unacceptable. read more

So being a Costco lover I thought I would shake up my normal routine and try this location. Note I don't live in Pompano nor go to any business here so purely to see what it is like. Well the best thing they got is the people that work here are helpful and friendly. As for the store itself as well as the layout it sucks. I guess I am spoiled and used to newer stores. This one is not laid out like North Miami or the one in Bradenton so you literally end up staying here longer. Albeit that might be their plan but I have a list and am sticking to it. So biggest gripe out of my cat litter the one I got instead gave me pissed off looks from my cats as well as next day delivery from Walmart of my usual brand. You also didn't have Snapple but my new friend stopped what he was doing to help me search. The kitty litter I returned after going on line at your Davie location they were in stock so I immediately got three bags so I won't go without again. Your liquor store is very strict hopefully it isn't because you think you will be robbed but the nice lady let me grab quickly my hubby's Tanqueray as a window shopper wanted to look at every bottle in the store but left after me buying nothing. Limit one person in the store at a time is a little excessive don't you think or does the people of Pompano have a lot of time to kill. read more

This location so needs new management and focus like the Parkland store. The store is always busy, but employee focus in store is not always apparent. On todays visit we see what appears to be two managers measuring shelves on seasoning aisle while store is packed and registers are closed and need of additional coverage. We ordered three ice creams at the convenience self register to go. Employees Julio and supervisor Delroy are later found to know the machine is broke and now need client refunds yet take baby steps to avoid quick resolve and 10-12 people that waited more than 20 minutes thinking their just busy. Employee suggested "it's not my fault" to another client, when he is clearly in a position to quickly notify clients of issue, have supervisor make refunds directly, and perhaps provide ANY resolve to individuals that paid and waiting their orders. read more

For years I had a membership here. Every Sunday we went over, stocked up, and bought things we wanted but didn't really need. In an effort to cut down on spending I finally gave up my membership. I had to come last week to help out a friend who was out of town. She needed someone to pick up and deliver her son's medication. Pulling into the parking lot was just as horrendous as I remembered. Parking here is one thing I don't miss. Once I walked in the door however all kinds of warm feelings started flooding over me. Before picking up the medicine I took a peek around at all of the familiar aisles. Things I love and miss are cheap clothes and all of the delicious food items. I don't miss not being able to try on the clothes and as interesting as the food options are I can't possibly use the large sizes in my downsized house hold. My experience at the pharmacy was fine. Just know they close before Costco actually does. On my way out I couldn't resist a visit to their snack bar. The thing I miss most is their cheap snacks. I had the sausage sandwich and the famous $1 churro. The churro is fried and covered in sugar. It's like a heart attack and diabetes all rolled into one crispy treat. My drink was only 59 cents! Despite my nostalgic visit I didn't have the desire to get a new membership. One look at the long lines cured me of any desire for that. If warehouse shopping is your thing than Costco is probably one of the best choices. As a person living mainly alone I think my warehouse days are behind me. read more
