We needed an item from the case in the personal care section. After shopping for a few minutes nearby, we tried to find an associate. Another gentleman near the empty customer service counter in that section said he had been waiting for awhile. Seeing security cameras on every aisle, I tried waving and pointing to the section where the case was... the lights would flash on, but no one came. Venturing into the store, I found a male associate and asked for his help getting the item. He said he didn't have a key. NOW... wouldn't you think he might find someone who did? I began trying to get someone's attention on the cameras (in every aisle) and singing Walmart, Walmart, we need some help here. NO ONE came. I eventually found a masked associate and asked for her help. She did open the case WITHOUT A SINGLE SYLLABLE OF GREETING OR REPLY. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad I don't live in Tuscaloosa and I don't plan on ever shopping at that Walmart again! I had a coupon for some free hair color I found the color and we went to check out well the girl at the health & beauty register couldn't figure out how to use the coupon , she sent us to customer service . They was too busy chit-chatting with each other instead of waiting on customers when they finally got time to us they said they couldn't do the coupon and told us we would have to go somewhere else . This store has been here seems forever and I used to faithfully shop here. That's when it was a great store. Since the rearranged the store it's sucks big time. They tried to make it look like target by placing mannequins and making displays. I'm doing that the clothing area changed big time. Plus size women's area is a joke now. Harley anything worth wearing there. They raised prices in clothing and put bigger brand names in there but no thanks. I'll go to the mall and find better for that much. I was in yesterday to give them another chance and it was disgusting in the produce and meat area. And, there was hardly any lunch meats or meats at all. The shelves look so sparse it's unreal. Every time i eat been in there in the last two months I've hoped it was better and it's not. It's worse. The workers and you helpful and rude. The makeup section is a joke. I have never been to an Auto Center that takes 4 hours for an oil change and a single tire. The work order was done wrong twice. Had to wait an additional hour for a tire to be installed. Won't be coming for service ever again. This is ridiculous. Still proceeded to put them wrong tire on. Have to wait an additional 30 minutes for it to be corrected. What's hard at looking at the other tires to confirm the tire size‼‼ Then have to pay a difference. Informed manager Ken of issues which he wasn't aware of. Was supposed to get a discount. R and I came in here to get a couple of things when we were passing through AL on the way back to Atlanta. Lots of parking spaces available in the very large and free parking lot. This store was the dirtiest Walmart I've ever been in. It didn't look like the floor had been cleaned in a while, and the restroom was very dirty. Many shelves in the store had random things on them, things that didn't even belong in that area - kids' shoes in the candy section, and cleaning supplies in the checkout line. Covid vaccines are hard to find in the state, but thanks to the Walmart app I was able to schedule an appointment at this location. Before traveling to the store, I called to confirm my appointment with the pharmacy. Once I arrived, I checked in with an associate by giving her my name and appointment time. She then checked my temperature and gave me a form to complete. After this I went to the counter and gave the pharmacy technician my ID/insurance card, verified my medical information that I gave on the app, gave me my vaccinations card and scheduled the appointment for my second shot. Next from there another associate took me to the vaccination are where I was given my vaccination. After the vaccination I had to sit and wait for 15 minutes to see if there were any reactions. I'm pleased with the process and excited that I was able to get my vaccine! read more

Awefull customer service!!! Shelves are never stocked. Only one check out lane is usually open. You have to use the self-services ones. I asked to speak to the manager and was ignored. I then called the store from my car, and the call was never answered. It is the worse Walmart in which I have ever shopped. If I could give it negative stars I would. read more

Their new app cant be installed on my android and I cant access the old version because of the stupid blue update screen wont go away. I uninstalled the app and will now do grocery pick up elsewhere. I hate Walmart, I really do. Not for its labor practices or politics or anything like that (I try to stay away from those issues!), but just because going to Walmart really sucks. The husband and I made exactly one trip here for groceries, and it was jam-packed on a Saturday night. Selection was ok, though I really prefer to choose my own produce instead of everything being pre-packaged in plastic, but prices are not noticeably any better here than anywhere else, in my opinion. As others have mentioned, the checkout process is the most painful point of any Walmart trip. The husband and I waited in what was supposedly an express lane for about forever. The cashier seemed to be doing her best, but honestly, she was just not that fast or accurate, and it was killing the whole line. We only realized the following day that while she had scanned our packages of mozzarella, that bag hadn't made it off the spinner where bags are loaded. The husband point blank refused to return for a refund, if that tells you how much we enjoyed our Walmart experience. And of course, this is a super Walmart, so the store is huge and it's guaranteed that whatever you're looking for will be as far away as possible from both where you are now and the door. Also, selection is not great -- looking for a better windshield sunshade, there were just two types available, and most on the shelf were just variations on the kind I already had that didn't stay up. So, if you really need a Walmart, well, here it is. But despite living around the corner, I try to avoid it as much as possible. read more

Went here 3 times this weekend as I worked on getting my kid moved into college. There were only a couple check out lines and each one was super long, 20 to 30 minute wait. The last two times I tried the "20 item or less express line" hoping to get through in a reasonable amount of time. No luck, each time there were customers with 50 to 100 items, shopping carts overflowing, in that line. The checker didn't bat an eye while spending at least ten minutes checking out each one of the people who clearly didn't belong in the "20 items or less express line." When I finally got to the front with my 2 items, the checker managed to charge my card twice. I was then told I would need to go to the service desk to get a refund, another long line with only one person working the counter. The next three years of school shopping will be at Target! read more

I am a small college college student who just bought two large pieces of furniture from here. I was by myself and was offered zero help to get them into my car. I was in the parking lot for two minutes trying to lift one of the packages into my car because it was so heavy. I was offered no help by a single worker, when about three walked past me and saw me crying in frustration. I am so upset and had to call my brother to come help me. I did not expect most people to offer to help but not a single person offered anything, all I got were stares. My brother had to bring three friends to lift these boxes- just to show how heavy they were. read more

On Sunday, May 9, I ordered several items from Walmart. I ordered for delivery, and made one order. They divided it into two orders. I received a message saying the order was ready for pickup. I don't drive, so a friend drove over to pick it up. she went but there were no curbside parking spaces, so she left. I was on the phone with the manager when he posted that it had been picked it up, while he was telling that he would take it back in and I could get it later. Now I have received nothing but paid $103.18. I would give this a negative rating if I could. read more

I shop at this Walmart all the time. The store is not filthy and I always have a good shopping experience. Walmart always have what I'm looking for. Plenty of self check out lanes. The only time I've seen long lines is maybe during the high traffic times, but still not bad. It's a super Walmart so common sense would tell me there is going to be a lot of other people shopping, so during busy times lines may be a little longer than usual. This Walmart is extremely understaffed. You can never find an employee who knows where anything is at. After 7pm the lines are extremely long! We placed an order for the Walmart in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for 5 gallons of black paint. We attempted to pick up the order placed on the day prior to picking up and they could not find our order with the order number, email associated, or even a screenshot of the email with the name of who would be picking up and all info they should need. Ben, Kathryn, and Emily all were associates or assistants, I'm not quite sure what they were. They obviously cannot do their jobs adequately. I would suggest just going a little further to the Northport, AL location. You will save a headache and won't be disrespected, but treated like a valued customer. I had to come back and edit this because I was just informed that upon trying to pick up this order with all of the info that I previously mentioned, my associate was referred to as a "the problem." Ben apparently called to TRY to figure out how to get this order and he said, "I'm taking care of the problem." This was referring to an order that was payed for and innocently being picked up by one of the kindest people that I know and one of my associates. This is incomprehensible to me. I will drive out of my way to go to the Northport Walmart where people are treated with respect and treated with as much respect as they are given. Just disgraceful.. I'm not sure if they are aware of what century we are in, for lack of better words befitting a place where innocent people may be reading. I thought about posting of Google but I'm hoping that Walmart will strive to make this location rise to its standards. From the other bad reviews, this doesn't seem very hopeful.. you would think that a company this size would be able to have a better grasp on quality control.
