We traveled to Tuscaloosa AL from MO and stopped into this Publix for my son to get a famous Pub Sub. While there we were greeted by very friendly staff and even offered a sugar cookie by Emma. Now we are frustrated because those cookies were delish but we don't have Publix in MO nor a nice Emma!!! Guess we are moving to AL!! read more

This grocery store was immaculate. Aisles were neatly organized, produce looked fresh and customer service was good. I live in California where everything is expensive!! The only thing i literally get constantly at Publix are the bakery sugar cookies which are soft and chewy, but everytime for the last 2 months I have come to this store the cookies are always so burnt from usually and I usually have to ask for some from the back but it's exhausting when the bakery workers act like theres nothing wrong with the cookies but I bought a pack of them burnt once and never again because they were so crumbly and dry that it made me so upset I threw the cookie pack away. Publix is a nice place to shop if you don't have to worry about the price you pay for food. It's always neat and clean and stocked well. The produce section does have specials at times that are really good and their produce is usually great. If you're middle to lower income you better take coupons and so the buy one get one free deals. It's pricey. I don't show here often. read more

I love this grocery store BUT the sandwich shop within the store was LACKINGGGG. So extremely slow and the staff was rude.

Store hours 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Store is always well-stocked, very clean and orderly, and ALL employees VERY VERY helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, HELPFUL, & friendly!! Ask somebody passing by that works there where something is, and they will stop what they're doing and go SHOW you where it is(!), & not just point in some general direction or give you an aisle number. They will TAKE you to it and HELP YOU FIND whatever your looking for!! And their fried chicken at the deli is ALWAYS FRESH! THE BEST!! I love Publix. Yes, some items are a bit more expensive than other stores, but minimally. The stores are sparkling clean, shelves are well-stocked, and employees go above and beyond the call of duty to help. Their house are excellent. The best is the deli, bakery, and take out. Publix is famous for their made-to-order sandwiches, and they're the best. But it the hot the fried chicken where they really shine. It is outstanding. And the pre-made sandwiches, salads, etc. are the best in town. Publix, I love you. No other supermarkets compare. Yes, this location is busy and the college student's awful driving skills can make the parking lot annoying (and dangerous...). But huge props to this publix for packing so much into a small space, keeping prices reasonable, having awesome, friendly employees, and stocking a reasonable amount of natural/organic products alongside the conventional stuff. The BOGO deals are awesome. Sometimes craft beer is on sale. There are bike racks. The one thing they need is PEDESTRIAN ACCESS ON CAMPUS DRIVE WEST. It's really dangerous for pedestrians to access the store from ANY side because there is absolutely NO pedestrian pathways. You have to walk in the same driveway lane that cars use to enter and exit the parking lot. I'm still a fan, but PLEASE, Publix, if you read this: you have so many customers walking up this dangerous ramp to get to the store from campus -- tear out some of those ugly bushes and put in a pedestrian path. read more

I bought the worst chicken tenders ever last Thursday. They were so tough, we couldn't eat them. It seemed that they were under a heat lamp all day and were overcooked. I have always liked the chicken tenders from the other Publix locations. I just spent too much time to contact Publix on their website and nothing worked. I used to love going to this place until today. I had the absolute pleasure of watching one employee stand around with nothing to do. He belted out racist comments to his friend inside the store on the clock !!! That is why I will no longer be shopping at this location. When I lived close to campus, this was the go-to spot. Especially for pool days like today...you can swing by and stock your cooler with everything but liquor. For those who need dry ice, they also stock that near the front...it's $1.50/lb. Just walk through the exit door with cooler, grab the dry ice and get in line so they can weigh and check out. read more

This place took advantage of their location to tow your car.Tuscaloosa community should pay attention to this store who they keep an eye just to rip you off in the parking. Beware of those parking people around, soon as you are out of the perimeter they will call the towing company.Not even taking into consideration that you are just there for half an hour, they will tow your car.The place is surrounded with "Parking boys" . its $160 down the drain before you get your car back. This place spends more effort in trying to find cars to tow than they do serving customers. It would be nice to park my car and buy groceries without some parking lot security guard, a.k.a. kid wearing a hoodie, writing down my license plate number. Since leaving my home planet of Alderon, I have had a difficult time locating a super market that fits my every need. That all changed the day I walked into the Publix Super Market on University Boulevard. Shortly after exiting my 2003 Pontiac Aztec, I was greeted by a shopping cart retriever who I spoke to about fishing for the next 3 hours. After chasing down the Publix employee and relentlessly asking him for his advice on what vape juice I should try next, I was eventually kicked out. By far the best Super Market experience I've had to date. Another note, trans fats are actually healthy in the future so please for the love of Allah, purchase as many trans fats and pizza rolls from Publix Super Markets while supplies last. Don't' expect to buy groceries when you come to this Publix. You'll spend more time trying to find someone to ask if they have an item in stock, which they never do, than you will actually buying groceries. I go probably once a week to every other week and have never, in a year, left with everything I needed. Went in last night for four items and left with one. Don't waste your time giving this store any business go elsewhere where you'll actually be able to leave with what you need. read more

As far as I can tell there is no finer store....well people really. Today I called from Connecticut to find a way to get provisions to my college student who was sick. To my complete surprise that awesome Shirley, the customer service representative there, took my phone order and DELIVERED these things to my daughter. Thank you Shirley and Publix.
