Walmart Supercenter - Entrance - Department Stores Near Me - Tyler, Texas

I brought my 2008 Ford Explorer XLT V6 to the Walmart Auto Care Center at this location for a simple battery replacement. The vehicle was running fine before service -- the check engine light was on, but it was fully drivable. After the battery was installed, the vehicle would not start in the parking lot. Once I finally got it running, it immediately went into limp mode, stalled at low RPM, and threw multiple electrical faults. A manager on site filed an incident report, and I was told Walmart Claims would contact me. I received zero communication -- no phone call, no email, nothing -- even after being promised a follow-up by Friday and then Monday prior to Thanksgiving. My vehicle has been completely disabled since this incident. This has caused lost wages, financial strain, and disruption in daily responsibilities, including transporting my children to school and my partner to work. Tractor Supply has generously helped us temporarily, but this cannot continue indefinitely. Based on a personal code reader, the vehicle is showing multiple electrical and sensor failures, including O2 sensors, fuel rail pressure sensor, EGR control circuit, and EVAP purge control circuit. These codes strongly indicate damage caused during battery installation or improper electrical handling. Walmart corporate needs to take responsibility for this preventable damage. I would not recommend this Auto Care Center to anyone, as the combination of serious technical errors and complete lack of follow-up has caused enormous personal and financial hardship. read more

A Walmart is a Walmart. You know what to expect. Overall, this is my go to Walmart for Tyler. I have mostly positive experiences at this store. However, they really need to update their credit card readers at the self checkout registers. They malfunction so frequently that the cashiers have developed a method of putting a business card behind credit cards when they enter the chip reader, to make the machine work. Also, I saw another review about the salesmen in the electronics area. I agree that they are quite annoying and I feel the need to avoid this area of the store. read more

Delivery manager for to go Orders, Robby is UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Yelled at me for helping the associate load MY CAR! Doesn't introduce himself at all and demanded I dropped the merchandise!!! Customer service is at an all time low at this Wal Mart on Troup Hwy. He has done this to me two times and it MUST be handled!!!! He is RUDE AND CONDESCENDING to the employees and customers! How dare you make someone look bad in front of other people and employees???? The store is breathtaking but the customer service lacks empathy and respect for people! read more

Bakery staff is very unpleasant. Staff was working with headphones in while helping customers and complaining of not being able to hear customers. Cake was decorated poorly. Drive to another Walmart instead of using this bakery. Not worth the money! read more

I like the Walmart, it isn't the Walmart itself, it is the people by the electronics section trying to sell people new electricity plans. It is really annoying to have people standing there and wanting to stop you when you are just trying to get your stuff and leave. I literally have to walk around. Please stop this. As a customer, I shouldn't have to worry about being annoyed by people trying to sell me something I don't want to buy. read more

This is a convenient Walmart. We stopped by here to get a charger for my phone and some snacks when I was in Tyler visiting family. The parking is really good at this location. It was nice being able to go in through the "Home & Pharmacy" entrance. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. This location is clean and well stocked with anything needed for the home. We found what we needed from electronics and grabbed some snacks. This location is convenient and clean. We wouldn't hesitate to stop by here when staying in Tyler again. read more

TRUCKERS!!!! DO NOT PARK AT THIS WALMART. THEY WILL BOOT YOUR TRUCK AND CHARGE 250 DOLLARS TO REMOVE THE BOOT!! As a matter of fact, if I can't park here, I won't shop here. Maybe putting the word out and if truckers stop shopping where we can't park will make a difference. Maybe not. We deliver goods across the nation but can't use the same ground as everyone else. This is by far the best Walmart I've ever shopped at. Like a dumb ass I accidentally left my wallet in my shopping cart when I left the store "WITH $1,800 IN IT" and 2 hours later when I back to the Store, not only did an employee find it, but EVERYTHING WAS THERE !!! Yes including the $1,800 . A checker by the name of Angie I believe is the one that had it. This happened a long time ago but I've never had anything but great experiences at this Walmart. I reported this amazing experience to the GM. These people deserve respect just like everyone else. Sometimes it's the customer that has a bad attitude, remember you get back what you give..... Show up on Troup hwy location at 5:30- garden center is CLOSED- can't buy soil, plants, seeds, tools, ANYTHING FOR OUTDOORs- they have a big gate across the entrance to the plants- when I tried to ask a associate I was given a finger in the air and told I would have to wait for her to answer my questions- she was on her cell phone- so again - I asked a cashier- big mistake- as she stayed leaning against a pole- never once looking up from her cell phone I was told that the garden center closes at 6pm period- it's freaking 5:30!!! Said there was nothing they could do!!! So when did Walmart start closing the garden center at 6? Most people don't even get off until then- I will take my business elsewhere! No wonder walmart was on the front page news today about getting sued- they suck! read more

I tried calling this location three times and no one picked up the phone. Once a worker did pick up the phone and she immediately hung up on me after I asked her a question. I highly do not recommend this location there is no wonder they only have two stars. Also who mandates a vaccine for all of their employees when it does not even work. read more

Employees have a negative ATTITUDE when you ask a question. They hate to be bothered. They should be thankful they have a job during this epidemic. Please don't use COVID as an excuse. Train your staff better. If they are going to be a personal shopper know how to pick out fruit and vegetables. We live close enough to walk here so I'm here all the time.. Best greeters in Tyler the friendliest people anywhere at the front door.. Now to complain I'm a big sewer & the craft department sucks it's so small.. the 2 older woman who cut fabric are so rude the black woman always makes me feel like I'm bothering her by asking her to cut fabric & the white woman hates when you bring kids in her aria if I have my kids with me she is so rude but if I come alone she is pleasant.. if both women are off good luck at getting fabric cut in less than an hour.. Over all I like this store I had trouble with another customer a wile back & the manager personally walked me to my car.. read more

THE WORST WALMART EVER! All walmarts have horrible customer service but this one takes the cake! It took them around 20 minutes to find someone to come help me and another customer in the pick up section of the store. Then when the Walmart associate arrived she had an attitude. Received coupon for new grocery pickup service they're rolling out to compete with Amazon. Coupon doesn't tell you you have to order $50 to use. Finally figure out $50 worth of groceries for next day pickup. I'm on my way to store needy day and get a text message saying my order was cancelled. I ask customer rep why - she said their e-program was down. She also said it was a common occurrence. What?! Back to Amazon, never canceled an order, AND it comes to my house, even better. read more

We got our oil changed at their tire and lube last year and they left the cap off (from the top, not under the car, thankfully) and oil splashed out onto the engine and burned making the car stink and my husband worried about what could be wrong with the car. When he looked under the hood, he saw what was wrong and put the cap back on and went back to the store to complain. They did top the oil back up and spray some of the oil off the engine and give us a $20 gift card for the store but this should have never happened. read more

I really like this Walmart. This store has changed alot in the past year or so. It seems more clean, more cashiers and associates available to help. The door greeters are friendly. The only complaint would be that the shelves are sometimes bare in some areas, but I don't feel it's totally the stores fault. I'm sure whatever comes on their trucks gets put out ASAP.
