After a good night's rest, we were pleased to find that this Walmart was nearby because it allowed us to stock up on some provisions for the next leg of our journey. In addition to some groceries (deli meat, cheese, corn on the cob, etc.), we also found that they had an excellent selection of items for our upcoming camping and backpacking adventure -- including lightweight but hearty freeze-dried meals such as lasagna, beef stroganoff, and chicken fried rice (that were surprisingly tasty but expensive), a water carrier for the campground picnic table, and bamboo skewers for roasting marshmallows around the fire! We found everyone that we had come in for, and more! Parking was plentiful and free. Staff were pleasant. The check-out line in the morning was short. Finally, the location was close to a gas station so we could fill up before continuing on our journey north.

I asked if I could speak with him. The desk called for him to talk with me. About 15 minutes later a person walked up . His personal appearance lead me to believe he was a customer not the manager. I asked him if I could buy the bike for the price that was listed . In no certain terms was he willing try to work with me . I went home and contacted Godfrey Walmart and was able to get a bike shipped to me that slightly cheaper for $50.00.Very bad experience !!!

The customer service was top notch. The shelves were always well stocked. My local Walmart now is referred to as "the out of stock store." If you have a list you are guaranteed to leave with only 2/3 of the things on that list as my current Walmart WILL be out of stock. My local Walmart must have a beacon atop of it that calls out to all those crazy "people of Walmart" to go there. We have more than our share of these people. We may have 2-3 lanes open. All the serve yourself checkouts are open. Those checkouts are backed up because no one wants to wait in the couple other services lanes actually open. Many of the staff are rude or cranky. Who could blame them? Working in those conditions. Enjoy your good Walmart because they're not all that way. We quit going except when we feel we have no choice....maybe once every couple months.
