Well you know its walmart. I generally dont shop here. But we were in Vernal utah and this was the big store that we could find. They had pretty much everything one could want here. Food galore, candy, sporting gear, clothes, medical stuff, sunscreen and more. I was really happy honestly at this walmart. I have been searching for MONTHS locally, online and on facebook marketplace to find a new or used sit on kayak. Not only did they have them, they had a whole bunch of them!!!!! My best girl (dog) has cancer and I am wanting to be able to try to take her out on the water. I spent our time in Utah thinking about it and ended up deciding to buy one before we headed out. The employee that helped me was great. He opened one up so I could sit in it and compare it to my friends as this one was a little bit longer. Everyone was really nice. Their credit card reader was not really working the day i was there and ended up needing to use a debit card. read more

The level of disrespect that we just received by a Vernal Walmart employee today was completely unacceptable. As a person who works in a retail setting I understand the importance of customer service and overal safety for not only our fellow workers but most importantly our paying customers. But to be approached in the manner we were as well as the overall aggressive attitude was a complete failure on said employees part. After being stopped as we were shopping was definitely jarring but to have said employee continue to aggressively demand that my wife exit from the cart. When asked why? The employee informed us that it was due to it being a safety concern. Which was immediately followed by a second more aggressive command to exit from the cart due in part to my wife not moving fast enough. We had heard her concern and had every intention of complying. The employee began to clearly become even more agitated after we inquired if her aggressive inquisition could have any alternative motives? Possibly because of the way we looked? The employee responded angrily by saying that "Her father was one..." one what? Tattooed? Black? Tribal? And even if that is the case, does that give her the right to approach customers in the manner in which she did?? Following that the employee took out her phone and threatened to call the police because my wife wasn't moving quick enough which made her feel uncomfortable. Commanded like a dog. Even going as far as to call my wife a racial slur under her breath right before she had called a fellow employee to assist in her crusade. THAT employee definitely handled the situation with more respect and helped ease the situation. We explained that we were complying and he thanked us. Even offering us the managers number to contact to file a complaint. What started out as a fun day of shopping and bonding quickly turned into a nightmare for us. So please be careful to all of my friends and family when shopping st the Vernal Walmart. The most puzzling thing about this whole situation was that throughout that entire time shopping and my wife needing a rest inside the cart, we passed several other Walmart employees and not a single one before that even said a word to us... read more

The location I found this Walmart was in Vernal, UT where I happened to be for several days on a job. Vernal is a 3-hr drive East from Salt Lake City. This is really the only store in Vernal where you can find most anything. So that's a positive. I did need hand warmers - temps were under 30 degrees F in mid-March, but they were oddly out of stock. I also needed to return a couple items I had purchased since we didn't have use for them. Arrived at 10:30pm (they do have generous hours of 6am to 11pm), but apparently their Customer Service desk closes at 10pm, so I had to return the next morning before departing. And Customer Service doesn't open when the store does at 6am - they begin at 7am. The people were all helpful, though. Yet unless you frequent this store you'll need to keep asking where certain items are - the aisles all look the same and it's a clutter of stuff. read more

I absolutely love this Walmart. It is always super clean and the employees are always very helpful and friendly. I am a huge fan of the pickup and delivery service. Last week I had a large order to pick up and the young lady that brought my groceries out to the car seemed very happy to help me and in fact asked if I was satisfied with the pickup service. She seemed to genuinely care what I had to say. I can't tell you what a pleasant experience that was. read more

Zero enforcement of mask wearing in this store. I feel sorry for the employees who are wearing masks. Is this a management issue? Is this the norm at Walmart stores? The women's restroom had ONE soap dispenser and it was EMPTY. I appreciate that paper masks are provided at the doors, but maybe management should come to the front and enforce the mask wearing. read more

The store is fine, but customer service could do better. Let my fruit purchase roll across the dirty floor and didn't replace the items. Arrived home to have to throw away the damaged fruit. If I am going to spend over $200 on groceries I expect better customer service. read more

Not my favorite lube & tire center! I took my truck in for an oil change and to repair a flat tire supposedly covered under the road hazard program. According to the service advisor, I needed a new tire which would be covered under the road hazard. The service advisor didn't communicate to me of any additional charges at the time I dropped off the truck, other than paying again for road hazard on the new tire. At pick up, I was charged for a new tire in addition to the oil change charges. I guess I'm supposed to read their mind? I would have bought a new set of tires but I just didn't like way I was treated. The manager and the service advisor had a bad attitude, so decided to have them take the new tire off and take my business somewhere else. Poor communication and terrible customer service! Will not comeback to this Walmart location again! read more

We finally were able to go out and spend the stimulus check that we were sent to help get the economy going. As we walked into the garden center, we saw the perfect swing for our patio. After several minutes, we finally located someone to assist us. He informed us that they had sold the last one that day, He checked to see if another one was coming in and found that it wasn't. We asked if they would sell the floor model. He then told us that the manager said that they had to hold it for a week. They did not want to have to assemble another one if they didn't have to. He recommended that we order it on-line. I went home and searched for the product. It did not appear on their website. The very next morning, I went back in and the floor model was gone!!! When I asked about it, I was told that they sold it. The MANAGER had given them permission. What was it about the people they sold it to that made them better customers than we were? When I called the customer service line, they basically said that the MANAGER had the ability to special order it in for us. When I spoke with the manager, he said he was sorry but he was unable to help us, with the pandemic and all. He did absolutely nothing to appease us. When the main customer service line was contacted, they again did nothing to even try and satisfy this customer but pushed it back to the local store. Is it because I am Hispanic? Maybe I should have just had my husband try and purchase it. read more

The Vernal Walmart recently got a much needed face lift. With the remodel came the new and trendy online shopping option. I was pretty excited to save some time at the store & decided to give it a try. On the positive - creating a grocery list online was super easy. I also loved that I could see what my total was going to be. Great for those trying to stay on a budget! On the not so positive side... this experience ended up NOT being a time saver. When I arrived the staff seemed super confused. It took a couple of times clarifying who I was to get my items. When I got home I realized that they had left an item out! I called and asked if they could refund the item that they did not include. It took several times repeating my name and order number before they could pull up my information. Several minutes later the Assistant Manager informed me that I could come pick up the item or contact Walmart Customer Service for the refund. The whole point of the online pickup was to SAVE ME TIME! I was not about to let my frustrations get even higher by spending another 15 min on the phone with customer service. All in all... not a good experience. I spent more time putting together a list, picking up the items, talking to customer service & DRIVING BACK to the store that I would have just shopping for myself in the first place. Hopefully they will get it together soon - because the service does have potential. Back to the remodel.. the store looks SO much better. The items are more organized and it doesn't feel dirty anymore. I just REALLY wish they hadn't gotten rid of the check stands that have ACTUAL human beings at them. They only have a few and the rest are self check out. Self check out is horrible if you have more than a few items. Last thing I want to do is spend time shopping & then spend even more time waiting on other people and then checking out my own stuff. When will stores learn that people actually value their time?!?! read more

The Walmart Tire & Lube department saved my butt. I got a punctured tire on my rental van while driving (like a jackass) out of Flaming Gorge. I had a plane to catch, bought no puncture insurance, and I was looking at driving hundreds of miles on the spare tire/donut. Nobody had a tire (new or used) in my size for miles around ... except Walmart. I rolled up when they opened at 7am, and 20 minutes later (and less than $100), I was good to go. Thank you! read more

Between employees stealing medications, employees avoiding you so they don't have to help you, employees bad mouthing their superiors to customers, customer service waiting times, terrible cleanliness, horrible leadership, I seriously feel like I could go on and on! We had an outstanding experience at Walmart on the recent Black Friday. Shopping for 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 3 months to age 12. A sweet attractive lady assisted us by the name of Laura Mobley. She knew the store and location of all products. I told her name, sex, age and description of each child. She immediately knew the perfect gift. She made us feel like we were in a high end store with a personal shopper. This lady is wonderful! Thank you Laura for for your assistance.
