Beggars can't be choosers at the only brewery in town. The food has gotten very expensive and it is decent, but not amazing. We had the Reuben, Nachos, and three kids meals. The beer is okay, but nothing I would crave. We were at least seating right away on a Saturday evening. Service though was very slow and the waitress was a bit rude. We have eaten here each time we have visited Vernal, but I think our next visit will lead is to trying out a different restaurant. It is a small but nice space, but that is turning into its only draw for me. Pros: *It's a brewery *Various beer options *Decent food choices Cons: *Expensive *Slow *Beer is just okay

How does one judge a good brewery when he doesn't drink? He does it by if they make their own Root Beer. And this place did not disappoint with their root beer. They also brew their own cream soda and raspberry cream soda. As per a request from my last post I chose to eat a chicken Cesar salad. The seasoning on the grilled chicken was great along with how it blended with the Cesar dressing. Reagan was my server and while she was busy serving multiple people and making drinks she was still able to keep everything in order and took great care of me.

This restaurant has been my favorite place to eat for many years, and because of that, it genuinely makes me sad to write this review. Unfortunately, my last few visits have shown a noticeable decline in both service and food quality. Tonight was by far the worst experience I've had here. I brought a group of colleagues and important guests for a company gathering. From the beginning, the service was inattentive. We were asked about appetizers, but our server walked away before giving us a chance to respond. After ordering, we waited well over an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, it came out in several separate waves rather than together. Some dishes were cold, while others seemed like they had been sitting long enough that they were reheated before being served. I ordered the poutine, which is arguably one of the simplest items on the menu, yet it arrived roughly 20 minutes after the last dish had already been served to the rest of the table. To make matters worse, it arrived without the gravy, leaving me with little more than cheese fries. By the end of our meal I had asked for the poutine to be removed from the check because it was completely scorched from the reheat. The meal was removed from the check, however our check wasn't right and no one would attend us long enough for us to explain that we ordered items that didn't show up but were still charged for. When we were ready to leave, our server was nowhere to be found, and when I attempted to pay at the front desk, I was told that wasn't an option and that I needed to wait for my server - all we needed to do was pay so we could leave and move on with our night. All in all we spent over two hours which ruined our plans that we had following dinner. I've always considered this a 5-star restaurant and have recommended it to many people over the years. However, tonight's experience left both me and my guests feeling completely let down by both the service and the food. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because I'd love to see this restaurant return to the level of quality that made it my favorite for so long. Based on tonight's visit: 1/5 stars.

I stopped in here on my way up to Wyoming. The brewery atmosphere was amazing. I sat up at the bar and immediately the bartender brought me water and asked what kind of beer would I like to try. I tasted their summer ale and it was delicious. I ended up getting a pint of the honey blonde. I decided to get a bite to eat so I ordered their brat burger, OMG!!! It's a bratwurst patty with kraut, Swiss, and brown mustard on a brioche bun with fries, absolutely amazing. I'd like to give a shoutout to my bartender Brandie, she was such sweetheart and extremely friendly. The next time that I'm in Vernal, I will definitely stop by again.

Walked in at 8pm where their posted hours on Google and Yelp say open til 9 and they told us they were closed and refused to serve us. There were plenty of other tables sat and people at the bar.

Solid spot with a decent kitchen and solid enough beers. The food is a bit overpriced for what it offers, and the staff are young and seem overwhelmed. Came here two nights in a row and same story: bar area was operating fine, but everywhere else seemed a little overwhelmed. Staff kept giving one younger kid staff member shit about cleaning glasses or not doing enough, but he was keeping his head down and working hard. Weird dynamic there. Beer is average. Like an "everywhere else" 5 but a Vernal "8." Worth swinging into.

We'd toured the Utah Field House and VBC was right across the street. We wanted a beer and something to snack on. We were seated quickly and served ice water right away. Our server was very helpful . They had 8 beer on draft. So we went with our server's recommendation and each did a flight of four. I went with the darker beers and my husband with the lighter. The wheat peach was great, a definite peach flavor. The smoked porter was also very good. They were both so good we bought a 6 pack of each to go. We also had some poutine, french fries with pulled pork, cheese curds and a gravy. We thought $19 sounded kinda high priced. It was worth it! The pulled pork was flavorful and tender. The fries were crispy (to start). We've tried poutine at other places and thought it was just good, VBC's was REALLY good.

Beer signs, tables with people, giant heating and a/c duct

Great food, very nice waitress, very good drinks. Chicken pot pie was amazing! Great place to go in Vernal, Utah.

The brussels sprouts and bacon were wonderful

Everyone was friendly, thumbs up for the service. The menu was on the pricey side, but not outrageous. The music was at the perfect level, low enough to allow you to carry on a conversation without yelling. It was still noisy, though. The surprising number of kids there at lunch didn't help. TVs hung from the walls, with the volume off. I ordered baked wings, naked with Cajun dry rub. They were slightly overcooked, otherwise the flavor was ok. Average. They weren't spicy to me at all though they claim the Cajun is supposed to be. Most disappointing is how tiny the wings were. I spent most of my time searching for any meat. Seven teeny tiny wings for 12 bucks. Very disappointing. I'd love a beer. It looks like a good selection, especially for Utah. Gout though. Ugh. My score: 4.5 stars for service, one for value, one for wing size, and three stars for taste, what little meat I could find to taste. Total? Two stars.

TL;DR - service and ribs made up for underwhelming aspects of an overall satisfying visit…read more This is a nice place - probably a 3 star, but it had enough redeeming qualities that it earned a four star. Upon entry, it was confusing: half the place is a bar, and half is family-friendly; however, there's no signage to indicate whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated. We got there around the same time as a large family got there, so we were just waiting around on the door mat, waiting dumbly. We had to wait for quite a while and there were plenty of empty tables that we could see. Once seated, however, it was nice. Our server was the paramount of cheery welcome. The beer samples are very affordable (like 0.50), so I got one of each beer on tap - all from Vernal Brewing Company (which was closed because Sunday). That said, there were only 3 sampling glasses - I think our server decided not to charge us for the 8 samples. Then, we got grilled cheese and Mac and cheese meals for the kids, 1/4 rack of ribs with side salad and fries. The grilled cheese came on Texas toast (read: thick), the Mac and cheese looked a lot like Kraft white cheddar. The fries were tough (either overcooked or stale before cooked), but they tasted really good, so they ended up being a highlight. The side salad was a bowl full of lettuce with an assortment of toppings sectioned on top (sliced tomatoes, whole olives, cheese, onions, cucumber, pepperoncini) overall, not bad, but without the space to mix the greens and/or mix it with the dressing, it was unwieldy. We ended up deconstructing and taking bites of lettuce dipped in blue cheese. The ribs were phenomenal - well cooked (juicy and tender but falling off the bone). The price we paid, however was less than optimal for a somewhat underwhelming salad and overdone fries (also, kids meals got more fries than the quarter rack of ribs). Overall, we had a big hiking day before evening rain, so it hit the spot. Would try again, though there may be other, more value-for-the-dollar places to check out if you're in Vernal on a Sunday.
