I found this Walmart to be just fine. It is a Supercenter which means that in addition to the usual electronics and softlines and housewares, there is also a complete grocery market that includes frozen, dairy, produce, deli and meats. I just needed two things when I walked in and managed to find them quickly. The store is laid out as Walmarts are supposed to be laid out and all of the shelves are well stocked. That place has got to be the worst Walmart I've been in I just place a pick up order for 145 dollars and they canceled the whole order cause they had to substitute every item in my cart every item then placed a temporary hold for that amount that could take ten days to lift it. Then to make matters worse I tried contacting them to figure out what's going on and everything's automated and you get the run around that's crazy I won't be shopping there again read more

It is my own personal opinion, they committed FRAUD. Here is the reason why I say that. I canceled my membership with them a month or so ago. For the life of me, I don't know how they didn't get the notice that I canceled. When I ordered groceries to be delivered, they told me they could not deliver to my address, yet they break into my account and take money for a service they cannot provide me. To me this amounts to fraud and just outright greed. How can you take money from a person who has canceled in the first place, and second of all you take money from them for a service you cannot give them. This is so shameful of Walmart. Ick. Ew. I came in here looking for Cheerwine, the state cola of North Carolina. I figure this would probably be my best bet to find it. It's a sugary cherry cola that's hard to find outside of Cackalack. Whoever designed the parking lot here should be shouted at for a bit. The spots are so small. Who drives cars this small? Gah. Then, stepping out of the car, there was so much ick and muck on the asphalt, it was difficult not to step in it. The inside of the store wasn't much better. There weren't hardly enough employees available to help assist or check people out, and I had to go through the self-check out stand, where a lot of the machines were out of order. This store needs a good scrubbing from top to bottom, inside and out. More employees would be helpful. Fortunately, I found my Cheerwine soda. It's delicious! read more

A Walmart is a Walmart. And this one stays pretty clean and is better than most in the area. But I'm sick of picking through carts that don't have trash in them like y'all. I came here with my niece back in September when I came to visit her and my sister . It is big and clean , just like most Walmarts . I didn't experience any rude employees like some others have stated . Everyone seemed fine to me and checkout was smooth . They had everything I was looking for , mostly groceries I wanted to stock up for my sister . She lives in Maggie Valley and they don't have any big grocery stores there . Waited 45 mins for my pick up order. Watched people who arrived after me get their items first. When I asked associate why it was taking so long she said system went down so they did not know how long people were waiting. I hate Walmart. This one is always crowded but the inventory is decent. If you go real early in the morning you can find decent parking. They are terrible at buy online and pick-up in the store. It takes much longer than straight retail. The staff is poorly trained and not very conscientious or courteous but with their pay and poor benefits you can't really blame them. read more

This Walmart is singular because of the absolute rudeness of its employees. I have had horrific experiences in Jersey and Pennsylvania Walmarts that would send one to a madhouse, but I do feel that this location bears reporting. Hey, I don't go there to socialize, but general respect is a big part of life. Here are my poor experiences so far: -Two oldsters that were blabbing instead of working knew I was waiting to get something off the shelf where they were sort of stocking. They acted like I was not there. I could have said "Excuse me", but I wanted to see how far it would go. It went far. -A no-nonsense cashier announced for the next person (me) to come up to the help desk. I said one last word to the gentleman I was speaking with, walked up, and E___ informed me that the lines had to keep on moving, implying that I was holding things up. I was shocked by her outright, er, bad hearing? poor sight? misinformation? conspiracy-mindedness? My mouth wouldn't move, not even to say one word. One word gets you in trouble with E___. -A female employee with subpar tattoos and a subpar attitude would not let me pass to get to my frenzied, AWOL toddler. I said "Excuse me; trying to catch a kid", but she just looked at me and would not move. I was forced to go down the next aisle. Apparently, hairstyles from '87 make people bitter. -A man accidentally released the contents of a twenty pound bag of dog food. I told an employee, and she did not care. I swear that she even sneered a bit. I repeated the problem, and told her that someone could get hurt. That got her moving. I would think that she would have gotten the gist of anything by being in her early sixties. Dog food on floor = possible problems. -Coincidentally, a few weeks ago, there was dog food once again scattered in the main aisle. We managed to pass it, and I noticed an employee stocking the shelf, ignoring the dog food. He noticed me at the same time, because I had just announced to anyone nearby that there was dog food on the floor. Yes, I am open to taking a portion of your paycheck for being a safety monitor. I've seen it all, especially dollar signs in others' eyes. Dustpans and lawsuits exist! -In September 2016, a woman's chicken was seriously leaking all over the conveyor belt and right at the register proper. The cashier was trying to catch the fluid with her hand. Instead of closing down her register, washing her mitts, and bleaching the soiled area, she wiped up the fluid, and proceeded on. She was actually offended when my husband and I left her register because we are not in love with salmonella. I try not to be dramatic. There have been other negative experiences; this suffices. I never have had terrible experiences with employees in Target. Anyway, there are two cashiers there that are friendly. They do have good prices, a good return policy, and a mélange of items and employees. Good luck. Extras: -Produce there. -Hair salon. Chelsey is great. She is sweet and straight up. Walmart....well, what can say about the larger corporation in the world........that pretty much is like a McDonalds....the same layout and products just about EVERYWHERE you go. I find as a fly fisherman, I'm constantly forgetting something in my gear that I need on or near the stream...and my trip this last weekend was no exception. While hurling down the highway I had forgotten my expensive fly fishing sun glasses and was heading to the "Land of the Noon Day Sun", so it was critical to pick up a pair (albeit cheap) quickly and be on my way. I stopped in...walked in....headed a mile to the back of the store........*kidding* and arrived at the outdoor section. Found the glasses and bought them their and was out the door in less than 10 minutes........ There you have it..........and there it is......no manner of sexy verbiage will improve this review *grin* read more

This really didn't need to be so difficult. I made an order online. I received the email telling me to come pick up my items. I drive an hr to this location and find the Tower machine is broken. A store worker tells me that the person who fixes it is on lunch and come back in half an hr. Aggravating but sure ok. Things happen. I come back two hrs later. It's still not fixed and then I'm told by a new store worker that there actually isn't anyone on staff who "fixes" the tower. The manager looked especially bemused and told me she'd call for someone to help me. I was not helped. What I don't understand is why lie about this? Just say "hey we are really sorry about this but we don't have anyone here to fix the machine and we don't know when it'll be back online." Why waste my time like that? It's completely unprofessional and unacceptable especially during a pandemic! I am trying to limit exposure and being told to wait for hours is rude and dangerous. read more

I used to really enjoy going to Walmart, but in recent months the stores cleanliness and organization has depleted to the point that I dread going. I'm sure some of the customers do not help the situation, but that would be the case anywhere. Screw this Walmart and well, pretty much all of them. Have been cashing my check here for a year and a half, my identification literally just expired while I was taking care of my terminally ill mother and when I went to cash my tiny check, they refused bc it was expired. Even though they all know me there. I thought this Walmart was different, I see I was mistaken. I will no longer go to this one or any other one again. With a multibillion dollar company, I'm sure that's nothing, but I'll make sure everyone I know, knows this. It's not enough that I had to bare witness to my mothers passing to cancer, but then to also have this place deny my paycheck when I need it the most. To the supervisor, go to hell. You're "sorry" for my loss yet are making it even worst by denying this. The difference between a good supervisor and a poor one, is knowing when to make exceptions. Have fun in your crappy job. Go after midnight when the people of Walmart come out. Actually I think they may be around during regular hours. Most people are just plain rude and should lose some weight and get an attitude adjustment. Same applies to the employees. We're the ones that are paying your job. Evidently they don't know how to stock, I don;t care what time of the day or what day of the week I go the shelves are never stocked and the prices are never marked and the prices that are marked does not match the price at the register when you check out They put crap in the middle of the isles where you can't get the buggies threw, when you complain to the manager they act as if you commented a crime by complaining they laugh and say we will take care of it but never do, When you complain to the main office about them they also blow you off. The most incompetent employees I have ever dealt with. I purchased two Cerave products one of which had a five dollar coupon on it that was attached by the vendor or manufacturer. At check out, the cashier scanned the coupon but the discount didn't show up on the register and when I pointed this out the cashier argued that the coupon wasn't for the products I purchased and was not going honor it. I had to literally read the coupon to her and show her the products were correct. She finally called a member of management to approve the coupon. Come to find out THIS Wal-Mart flags all high value coupons whether you bring them from home or they are on the product in the store. I guess this is a bait and switch situation where the coupon scans but you do not get credit for it. So unless you notice it has not been honored and you ask for management to approve it, you're out of luck because the employees aren't going to take care of you. Very bad business! read more

Wellll... night shift hides things for people. I've never been asked if I need help. The rarely replenish stock and when they do they really take there time. They are the biggest game in town and seem not to bother with midnight releases for games or movies even though they are already open so all it could do is help.
