I stopped in while on vacation after seeing this adorable shop and was genuinely enjoying trying on clothes and taking photos of how they looked on me. Unfortunately, a sales associate abruptly and incorrectly accused me of photographing price tags, then rudely told us the store was closed. The situation was handled in an unnecessarily confrontational and embarrassing manner. While the clothing was lovely, the customer service was so disappointing that I will never return. I WOULD NOT recommend this store based on my experience. Ironically, I was getting ready to replace my lost luggage. Finally found a bohemian and hippie style clothing store with a wide selection. They have a style and know how to work with it. Chubby and big girl friendly clothing. Instead of the usual going to four stores and finding maybe 5 pieces of clothing that suit my style, body, and sensitive skin, I got over ten pieces at Seven Silver Seas. The prices I can see being a turn off for people, but if you're like me and have been desperate for good bohemian clothing, it's not a problem. This is one of my all-time favorite jewelry stores. We were lucky enough to wander into it while in Maggie valley a few years ago, and were blown away by the massive and incredible inventory. I spent over an hour and more money that I'm comfortable admitting to on really incredible finds. I was so pleased with some of the wonderful pieces that I was able to find, and the reasonable prices at which they were being offered. We have been talking about coming back to Maggie valley for a trip, and this jewelry store is one of the prime reasons. The workers must work off of commission or have a big background in sales because they were on you like a hawk just trying to sell you everything. I wore the outfit today, that I bought with my sister on our trip to SSS in October, it was so gratifying! A fringed knit vest, a long tunic and soft leggings. I got several compliments, friends said I looked great, not being immodest, but the clothes really do look great! The styles are always fresh and fun, and sooo much to choose from! I live in Florida, so I had to wait to wear this cute fringed sweater vest until it hit 51 degrees this morning. The way people looked at me, it was telling me that I looked like MY SELF. Because the styles I found at SSS are EXACTLY what I would pick out if I could find exactly what I wanted. My sister and I have been to this shop 3 times, and each time the two young women who own or work at the shop have always been very helpful and friendly. It's really fun to shop there because it is packed with very colorful and interesting fair trade merchandise. It is filled mainly with clothing and accessories, including lots of jewelry. But they also have some home accessories which are pretty interesting too. But since I'm a guy and don't wear women's clothes, but used to be a sales rep in the gift industry, I just find the store interesting. What first attracted me to the store is the outside of it. Simply put, it's purple. When coming into Maggie Valley from pretty much everywhere except Cherokee or the Blue Ridge Parkway look on the left side of the road just past some Shell gas station and you'll see a place where everything is PURPLE! The entire outside is decorated with purple furniture, plant holders, signs, and other stuff. So it's hard to miss if you are looking for it. It looks like there is not much parking, but there actually is once you pull in. And if you aren't interested in going in to shop with your party/wife, you can sit outside in one of the rockers and enjoy the nice air of Maggie Valley. read more

I have shopped at the seven silver seas several times when I'm visiting my secondary home in this area. The uniqueness is un comparable to no other!! I love gems stones and crystals and so does my adult daughter! You can't buy a pendant or necklace any where like this place... The assortment is TREMENDOUS .. Shop at your local mall or expensive department store , you will never find item like this .. Different to the tee!! Never find it on another. The Lady that helps me is wonderful she was by my side helping me make my decisions .. She was about 50 ish matching eyes glasses, I had forgotten her name..This was my third time here.. This is my favorite shop to visit when in Maggie Valley! They have a great choice of jewlery and good prices. Their accessories are very nice and well priced also. Great Quality at good prices. I would have given it 5 stars but I can't spend as much time as I would like inside the shop because of the smell! They burn insence and it turns my stomach and makes me sick.
