Three or four self checkout registers open... I guess management prefers four customers checking out every 12 to 15 minutes with 5 to 8 customers waiting instead of 10 customers checking out every 4 to 5 minutes with no customers waiting (been this way for over a month). The employees pulling orders for customers to pick up block aisles and act like the customer actually in the store are second to them and should move out of their way. That's if the employees aren't ignoring the customers and are looking at their personal cellphones. Plus, I'm getting tired of seeing some of the younger male employees underwear being exposed because they are allowed to wear their pants hanging off their ass in front of customers. Alright, this isn't so much a review of the Supercenter as it is of the Grocery Delivery service. I've lived in Winston-Salem since 2015, and throughout COVID, my spouse and I have regularly ordered our groceries delivered from WalMart. We love this service, and sincerely appreciate all that WalMart has done to try to make things more affordable for it's consumers. In fact, without their pricing, we wouldn't be able to have our groceries delivered to our home. We are very low-income, and use the bus system to get around, which makes it difficult to get groceries on our own. We've tried out Instacart and similar services, but found them to be more costly. So imagine our upset when we ordered our groceries on November 28th to be delivered on November 29th, 2021, only to receive half our order!! Now, allow me to clarify. There were 2-3 substitutions, all of which I received. It appeared the entire order had been shopped, and I had kept my items within the current store limitations {since COVID, sometimes items are limited as to how many each person may purchase; these are the limits I'm referencing} and was on it's way to us. I expected $200+ in grocery items. I received all but 20+ items, counting up to $62.77 worth missing. There were enough bags, etc. that the missing groceries weren't obvious. We immediately phoned Walmart's customer service center and spoke to a gentleman who had to list each item by turn -- a 30-minute venture -- while my spouse and I responded "yes" or "no" as to whether the item was received. We were then issued a refund of $56.77, $5 less than what we were owed in refund. Prior to this, we've had few issues with Walmart, most of which have been 1-2 boxes of soda missing -- easily recovered with a simple refund and trip to another store. But never anything quite like this. During the call to customer service, not only did we request a refund, but we also asked for the driver tip to be refunded [something we wouldn't normally do] as we explained that the driver tip was the last of our money, which we would need to re-order the items that weren't brought us the first time. We were promised the tip refund, but within a day, the tip was taken anyway, and I had to phone a friend for help to get groceries we shouldn't have had to re-order in the first place. Without re-ordering, most of our meal plan for the next 2 weeks was wrecked... meaning, we don't have a backup pantry chock full of a month's worth of food. Will we continue using Walmart Delivery? Yes. But this was really messed up, and we hope they can improve. Walmart: If you're reading this, please consider finding a way for us to mark off in the app any items we haven't received in an order. It would have saved everyone time and I'm sure money as well. read more

I'd say this Walmart was pretty average when it comes it Walmart Stores. We only came in for a few items, found them relatively easily and left and stayed on the grocery side. The store looked newer and was clean. We used the self checkout register... And really had ZERO interaction with any employees. I was ok with that. Quick in and out. I am more of a Target girl than a Walmart girl but hey, we were close and needed a few things. I'm sure we will be back again. read more

The auto center here is horrible. I've waited over 30 minutes for an oil change (with no cars in garage) for them to tell me they don't carry the filter for the car. What! ? Your computer doesn't know that you don't carry my filter? Attempted to buy oil and air filter. Card reader/scanner doesn't work. Can't even buy what I need. Cashier (auto) didn't try another register. Restroom in front of store out of soap in men's bathroom (informed customer service) they didn't seem to care. Checked before leaving...not filled. There potentially are lots of employees walking around with urine and feces on their hands. This is health code violation. read more

Your usual Walmart, maybe a bit newer and cleaner, except for the fruit section. I was checking out the nectarines, they were filled with gnats.. a ton of them, could not even put my hand on one. I will never buy nectarines from this store. I also decided to pass on the plumbs that were just next to them. I picked up a bunch of bananas and about a half of one just fell out of the bunch, it was black and had mold on it. Maybe all this because it was Sunday night, but still should not be like that. read more

If I could give this Walmart zero stars I would. Inside the store is a mess food item's everywhere, shelf's are never stocked. There multiple food isles that are almost bare. Online pick ups take 2 hours once you've checked in. All associates ignore you. I 400% do not recommend coming to this dump of a Walmart if you can help it. read more

This store is full of crooks and thieves. They are overcharging $6 or $7 per article. Bought a shower curtain and the shelf price was $12.97 and was charged 18.97. went to customer service and returned the shower curtain and requested a refund and the next day went back and talked to manager and didn't get my money back. Open 24 hours thank goodness. I was on the way to meet family at the hospital and asked to pick up a phone card. I looked around at the cash register and didn't find any. I went to electronics dept, I look around and they have tons of pay as you go cell phone recharging cards. I ask the gentleman were the calling cards for the land lines are and he instantly says...we don't have any. He brashly tells me that I would have to look through the cards with the prepaid cell phone stuff. Not let's see if we have them and if we do they would be here. Not let's call someone and double check...just a nope and go away. 6:30 am empty store. But I soon see why he could care less to help me I went up front and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to what I assume is the cashier lead as she was telling them what to do up front. She gets on the radio and repeats my request on the radio and says if they have them it would be in electronics. I told her I was back there already, and she says they would know. I again asked to speak to a manager, and she tells me she talked to them on the radio. *deep breath* I looked at her and said I asked to speak to a manager, and she tells me again that she has spoken to them, and that is where they would be. I have NEVER had a manger refuse to speak to me. I have worked in retail in the past and never seen it refused then. I was upset by the poor customer service I was receiving and I can clearly see it is an issue from the top down. Walmart customer service is typically nowhere to be found and when it is this is what you get. We are too busy to help you. That's ok. Target was more then happy to walk me to the product, multiple ones to choose from no less!! read more

This is probably one of the cleanest Wal-Mart stores in town since it's a newer location. It's also quite large & did have an item we were struggling to find. Otherwise, it's your basic Wal-Mart located in a mess of retail establishments & prompting serious traffic issues with crazy drivers. read more

I only shop at wal mart if it's my last option. If ya gotta go to wal mart this is the one to go to. It's the latest one to open so it's still bright and somewhat new. It is a super center so it has everything you need and everything you don't need. I like that this location has a gas station on the premises. Always the cheapest gas I can find. I usually wait to get gas if I can if I know I'm going to be over that way. I always pay at the pump. Nothing new with the friendliness of the employees here. Don't expect a smile or to be able to find help if you need it. If you do find help expect someone who doesn't care about your shopping experience. When you check out don't be offended if no one asks how you are doing, I never get any courtesy at wal mart. Including this location that is the cleanest one in town and other than the gas station there's nothing keeping it from being like every other wal mart. read more

After listening to a bunch of recordings that do not pertain to me, I finally got to a place where I could press 0 to speak to someone in customer service. The phone rang 15 times on both occasions and then disconnected. Nobody ever answered the phone. Guess I'll go to Target. read more

Other than people wanting to complain about Walmart, this one is pretty decent. They just updated their stuff not too long ago and it took a while to find all the items that I used to shop for there and different aisles now. That isn't a problem. I have used just about every Department in the store, and I've never had a big issue with any of it. I have run into several employees that have been really good and I've had some employees that work there that have just sucked rocks. It's a mixed bag of about everything. If you need to go to a Walmart store this is probably the one you'd want to go to. read more

Update: Used Walmart pick up many times now due to Covid. No extra charge of any kind. That's definitely a plus. Groceries are good and very affordable, especially the produce. Bakery is just ok. As Walmarts go, this one is nicer than most. Things are inexpensive, gas is cheap, but dealing with the employees makes me want to just pay more for things and go elsewhere. I literally go here once a year - in December to get a few inexpensive poinsettias and gift wrap gear, etc. I walked in today and couldn't find a cart. I asked an employee who was standing there (yes, standing there) where I could find a cart. No verbal response -- she just pointed toward the parking lot to the cart return. As I walked back outside to get my cart, I considered just leaving and going to Target. Gritted my teeth and went back in though, picked up the few essentials I needed, dealt with the unpleasant check-out clerk and left. Til next year Walmart. read more

I don't know if there is new Mgr at this store or what has happened but I've had three very positive experiences in the last 45 days. This is a huge W-M in a great location, clean and shelves are stocked and the store is well maintained. But rarely a positive shopping experience in the past if you required assistance, had a return or used assisted checkout. Picking up a prescription was dreaded. It is like someone flipped a switch and now employees greet you in the isle, take the time to show you the product or help you find it, you can actually find an employee now, smiles are returned, and a different attitude entirely. Pharmacy personnel are going the extra mile to be friendly, fast and helpful. Kudos to whoever is responsible for the positive energy. Feels good to feel like you matter as a customer. Grocery pickup was a positive experience also. read more

Went for an oil change, I am not from this area so I normally get my oil changed elsewhere and when I provide my own oil they only charge me for labor. However, the lady there today could not do it "per management" -they had to charge me for a full oil change. Needless to say, that was BS so I left and went to the other auto center on Kester Mill road. They only charged me for labor. So if I recommend going to Kester Mill road over this place. I am somewhat pleased with shopping in the store, However, I decided to do the delivery option. I was excited to be home on a rainy day and have my food delivered. Should be a win win right? WRONG! I chose my time slot to have my food delivered at 3pm-4pm. Then 5pm came no food. I called their customer service line and Ivan did everything he could to assist me. He advised me the store manager stated it would be here in 45 minutes to and hour. So I wait. Now it's almost 7pm. I call the store myself and I was advised that I would receive a call back. And I did. Just to be told I was going to have wait until tomorrow because they close at 8, and wasn't sure why I didn't receive my delivery. I said that was unacceptable, I waited home all day for my delivery that was suppose to be here no later than 4pm. Why should I have to wait for their negligence. No one ever reached out to me I had to constantly reach out to them. The rep then advised me he was going to see if he can find someone to deliver my items. I immediately called the customer service line to file a complaint. While on hold the store calls me back to tell me a driver will be here by 8:05. The concept of this service being convenient it great, but this store ruined it for me. read more

After shopping at Best Buy for an Ethernet cable and they were sold out, we thought we would try Walmart. They had what we needed. They also carry a raspberry filled, powdered donut which remind me and my wife of Hostess O's which we have not been able to find in 17 years on the east coast. So we decided to buy two boxes tonight as a rare treat that reminds us of our childhood. Well, these donuts tasted like leftovers from my childhood. Hard as a rock! They actually expired back in February, 6 months ago. We returned to Walmart later in the evening to return them. When we expressed our concern at customer service, the guy just laughed. We took it upon ourselves to get another rock hard box off the shelf and take it to a manager who seemed to appreciate the info. read more

I visit this Walmart frequently and today really was upsetting, I came in to buy boxers, and they were posted on a wall for $9.98, when I go to check out they ring up for $13.96 with out me realizing, so I go to customer service and Sandi is great, very courteous. She calls the supervisor over Angelique and she is very rude, she asked me to show her where the wall was, then she proceeded to say that another customer was saying the same thing, so I showed her the wall and she called over another associate to ask why the wall was coming up with a different price. So I said are you going to honor the pairs that I bought because I got them off of this wall, she said I don't have to honor anything, but I can honor only one, I said well I got them here so what are you going to do? She said I can only honor if there are 3 or more pairs. I said I got all 4 from this wall so you have to honor them, and she proceeded to tell me no only one! For her contradicting her self I returned all four pairs ! She was very rude and nasty, and very unprofessional!!! read more

Anthony,, I am not writing to complain about being charged an additonal $23 per tire despite there being an advertised sale price online for the tires. Not complaining that after 18 unanswered phone calls to the auto center I made an appointment anyway.. I called 5m,in prior to arrival to alert you i was in traffic and would there in under 10.. but thats not an acceptable excuse and inform me for the first time that i had to be there 15min prior to appointment time to check in? next available apt is 6pm.. I arrive 30min early and the tires are now signifigantly more money.. I dont argue.. the tech that came out was really out of control, blew up when he was told there was another customer... I thought this guy would go key my car he was that upset... anyway.. after 2hrs and 15 min waiting.. while i am the only customer there i get the car back, my tires are gone... I ask and am told you are closed and call in the morning.. i did,,, FRI, SAT, SUN, MONDAY, THEN WAITED TUES, WED, THUR, FRI, SAT.
