Dealt with the bakery. My daughter ordered a cake for her wedding. Gave a photo of how she wanted it decorated. Was assured they could do it. What was presented was a mess and looked like a young child got to play with icing. We ordered a round cake. But was square and an epic fail. The girl at the bakery offered to fix it and make it right within an hour to an hour and a half. The second cake is beautiful. She did a great job. It looked like the picture we sent. The bakery manager was very unprofessional. Upon checking out, I found that the cake was now $12 more than what was quoted. When I inquired about the price difference, I was told it was because they had to make 2 cakes and the price reflects the amount of icing used. Don't waste your time or money. That icing isn't made of gold and should not drive up a price. No effort made to reconcile the problem. One person made a wedding day start off very stressful. read more

So full transparency, I have not yet gone full grocery shopping here (so can't confirm the level of comparable expense to other stores) BUT I am excited to do so (trust me, my lady is getting a request for us to try shopping here on our next grocery trip). First things first I noticed on the back of their staff's shirts, it says "locally grown locally owned" and I would add just one more piece to that.. I'd say just like their store, that is all truly beautiful. This place is amazing. I walked in and noticed immediately that It feels almost like a very large barn or farm, etc. with all the typical goods but also tons of other items you don't see everywhere else. Very well designed, very clean, staff seems to have an overall pleasant demeanor (and outside of knowing specifically how the costs here compare to other grocery stores - I would almost not even hesitate to give Lowes a five star review)! This is the first grocery store that I've been in that felt like a "home", if that's possible... You walk in, people here are smiling and doing their thing, it's very well kept, it just feels good to be in here. And to me, in my mind, if I'm going to give more money to somebody, regardless, I'd rather enjoy the experience. Great job Lowes!! read more

We received a Lowes flyer with a coupon for $2.00 off an 8pc fried chicken box from their Chicken Kitchen. This was an excellent deal because I love fried chicken and a sale! Hubs made a special trip for me. The box was warm and emitting delicious aromas. I opened the box, leaned in and took a giant sniff. This next part will tell you how good it is: I immediately ate a wing and a leg over my kitchen sink. No plate. No napkin. Crispy, crunchy and juicy! The rest is tucked safely away in a ziplock bag and in my refrigerator. This is also easy to reheat, a couple of minutes in the microwave and then into my toaster oven to crisp it quickly. read more

Very slow and lacking in stock! I needed cash back when I made my purchase, but the cashier didn't have enough money in his drawer after my card was debited. With melting ice cream, I had to give my receipt to the manager and wait for him to give me my cash. Seemed he didn't know how to prioritize and I literally had to wait 10 minutes while he walked around doing other things. They do not have enough lines open and they also don't carry things other Lowes stores have. When looking for a product, the manager told me the Lowes in Kernersville has it. Well why do I need to drive to Kernersville when I can get the product closer to home at a Food Lion? They should also realize that if I'm going to stop at a Food Lion to get a product, I will probably get other things I need there and forego Lowes all together. Also, the beer den at this location is nothing. People should go to a "real" Lowes to see the wine/beer bar they have. Then you will see what it's supposed to look like and what the experience is supposed to be. It would also be nice if they had a coffee bar like other Lowes. One last thing, I like to buy the pick and prep vegetables but I have a feeling whoever prepares them, does not wash them first. I was getting sick after I ate them. I now wash them myself (wish defeats the purpose of pick and prep) and I have not not any issues. I am adding a photo on October 2. This is how they package the Prep and Pic Veggies. Three stars for products and cleanliness of the store. I have not been treated so rudely by any grocery staff that I can ever recall. I live in a ski resort town and I'm accustomed to lackluster service, but the attitude from the staff here and the price point are a poor match. I'm willing to pay the premium prices in the store, but rudeness is unacceptable. I will not return. read more

I love shopping at Lowe's in kernersville and walkertown, but I was in the oak ridge area today and decided to stop here. The employees were rude. My wife and daughter picked up a cellophane-wrapped half-cantaloupe from the produce section among other items. Upon check out, the cashier scolded my wife that half-cantaloupes were not for sale, despite mixed in with whole, and then expected her to return it. She should have politely weighed it as was her job. If a demo, kept it and apologized for it not having been marked as such. But seriously, cantaloupe demos? Sorry, we refuse to spend money where berated by staff. Even once. Goodbye. Rude, poorly managed staff. We now shop at Food Lion much closer to home. Lower prices, always friendly staff, better parking, and you can purchase any produce you see in the store without risk of being scolded at checkout. read more
