I called around to price shop for new frames for my son before wasting a bunch of time dragging the…read morepoor kid from store to store. This place seemed to have the best price and a decent warranty on kids' frames. We had a specific frame in mind and the lady on the phone said that they carry RayBan Jr and if they didn't have the exact frame in stock, they could order it. She also told me about a 50% off sale going on. We head over that evening and they didn't have a single pair of RayBans in stock. They only had a few cheap, dorky (sorry kids) pairs in the little kid section. The lady behind the counter wrote down the frame number and said she could order it, while promoting a "buy one, get one" sale (we don't want 2 pairs, we only wanted the one). Fast forward another week or so. My husband gets a call a day from them telling him that the frames are in for us to try (why we need to try them, we don't know since we already picked out the exact frame my son wanted). We go in to "try" the frames and the ones we wanted were not in the pile. They were more cheap looking ones. The lady tries to argue with my husband about these being the frames we wanted to look at and tells him the the Ray Bans won't be in for another week. Needless to say, we drove to Minneapolis this weekend, were in and out of Target Optical in under 1/2 hour (the sales lady even fit the frames to him and those frames will be the ones with his prescription in them) and my son's new glasses will be delivered to us before the "try on" frames will even get to Total Eyewear. We should have saved the frustration and just drove to MPLS right away instead of going back and forth with this shop.

The doctor was right on time, did a very thorough eye exam and got me into a new set of contacts that is perfect for how I wear them. The ladies up front were all very knowledgeable. I even got a cash pay discount since my current health plan doesn't include eye exam coverage - that's awesome. Thanks again for making it easier for me to make Fig Tales cookies!

NOT PLEASED. NOT INFORMATIVE…read more I visited this optometrist today and was not pleased. This was my very first time visiting an optometrist. I told Dr. Tasha Jones this, and asked her to walk me through what she was doing and why. She said she would. Unfortunately, she didn't. She raced through the exam and didn't tell me what she was doing unless I stopped her and asked. She also didn't tell me at all about the eye drops that burned, and she didn't tell me that she'd be using a piece of equipment to press on my eye to determine pressure. I only found out because after she did that she said my pressure is fine. I asked, "How do you find out pressure?" She responded, "It touched your eye. Most people don't want to know we'll be touching their eyes." I specifically asked to be told what was happening! She didn't tell me. That is horrible. All she would have had to say was, "This drop numbs the eye, and this equipment lightly touches the eye to measure pressure." It's that simple. No big deal. But unfortunately, she felt she had to hide that from me. After the exam I asked what the results were. She responded with something vague like, "It's good. Your eyes are healthy." When I asked what my vision was I received another vague answer. I then asked, "If you had to write down a number, what would it be?" Finally, I got an answer. It was like pulling teeth to get an answer. I am very displeased with Dr. Tasha Jones as an optometrist.

I brought a pair of sunglasses (Maui Jim's) into the office to have them tightened. Typically this is a very routine process and quick. Admittedly, I should have gotten to the office prior to 4:55 as they close at 5, and I'm assuming this situation only occurred because the employee was in a rush to leave work. To be fair, I'd likely want to rush out to my personal life, too. The employee returned my sunglasses to me with a LARGE crack across BOTH MY LENSES. When returned I was questioned "were these broken before?" Absolutely not. I had been wearing them on my way to get them tightened. And if broken beforehand, you would think the employee would refuse service as it increases risk on their end for liability. These sunglasses are expensive. Vision Care does NOT care, and is doing NOTHING to fix the situation. Never returning to this business again.
