This is my wife's account but we both feel the same about Jason Street and his substandard care…read more He "overlooked" my wife's DETACHED RETINA" over the course of 5 or 6 months and 3 separate visits. She kept telling him that something was wrong. He never referred her to an ophthalmologist. He asked if she was "depressed" and sold her eye drops but never saw the most serious problem you could have with your eye. I don't think he ever really looked after the first visit. He sold her some crappy glasses for a ridiculous price (that had the wrong prescription and gave her headaches .) Every other doctor we saw said that you can't get an accurate prescription if your eyes are dry (That didn't stop Jason from selling her glasses.). I think he didn't take her seriously because she was a woman. (I wish I'd gone with her). She's had multiple surgeries to try to repair the detached retina that he missed, but she still can't see out of it. On our own, we sought out an ophthalmologist who spotted the detached retina immediately (because he looked) and she was in surgery the next morning. I told him once, before a golf game, that she'd just finished her 7th surgery and I lamented the fact that they would have been unnecessary. He spent the rest of the evening lobbing golf balls over my head. (What a guy) So, be warned that there is a 2 year statute of limitations on optometric malpractice and most lawyers won't take the cases because the standard of care for optometry is so low, Jason sets the low bar for care. (But he does set the high bar for the price of his glasses) It's been a long struggle over the past three year and I attribute the hardship directly to the fact that jason wasn't really looking for the problem, but was more focused on moving high priced glasses. If you want to keep your eyesight find anyone else to go to.

I have just received call a few days before my appointment for them to tell me some bullshit about the doctor that they had coming or doing whatever doesn't accept my insurance. I then received a text. Since I hadn't confirmed my appointment, it had been canceled. It was after the phone call telling me they didn't take my insurance. Did they think I was going to pay their price gouging prices? I wish I had read these reviews before I started dealing with this crappy business.

Was charged $44 for the whole eye picture and never given results. The eye exam itself was postponed. Was prescribed antibiotics for stye which cleared up nicely. However, Dr. Corner had me come back for a follow-up 2 days later at the co-pay cost of over $53. If that wasn't odd enough she scheduled me for another follow-up 1 week from that date. I would imagine copay another $53. Meanwhile, eye exam will not happen for almost a month. I guess I would get results for $44 test then at exam time? My wife has stage 4 ovarian cancer which is terminal. I have better things to do with our money than feed this greedy outfit. Better companies out there!

Cataract Surgery Testimony…read more I recently had cataract surgery with a multi-focal lens implant on both eyes, one week apart. The surgery also removed the astigmatism I had in both eyes. The transformation has been amazing! The improvement in vision and clarity was astonishing and happened so quickly after surgery. At my one month visit with Dr. John Fitz, I could see 20/20 in both eyes. I no longer need a glasses Rx. AMAZING!! The care I received from the staff at Precision Eyecare in Farmington, Dr. John Fitz, and the Farmington Surgery Center was professional and provided exceptional care. Each member of the team from the front desk to the exam rooms, surgery room, and business office were all kind, patient, and understanding. They answered so many questions I had, treated me with respect & dignity, and calmed any anxiety I had. I would highly recommend Dr. John Fitz and his team for your eye surgeries.

I'm not saying Dr Fitz doesn't know what he's doing, but I will find me another doctor. I went to…read morePrecision Eye Care in September 2025 for the first time. After having two different eye exams previously, by to different eye doctors, Clarkson Eye Care in Festus and The Eye Studio in Park Hills. I was told I had cataracts in both eyes. How did the other places not see that? I told Dr Fitz I had a dark moving cloud and blurry vision in one eye real bad. He did cataract surgery on that eye successfully. It did nothing to take care of the dark cloud and now my vision is blurry again. I saw him in early June 2026 again. The time frame for him opening the door to come into my room, examining my eye, and telling me I should go to a specialist in St Louis, was 5 minutes at the most. He said he could see my problem but he couldn't fix it. I have Medicare and a supplement, so I just pay my co payment of $25. Dr Fitz and Precision Eye Care billed my insurances, $360 for this 5 minute doctor visit. That's ridiculous! Most of the office help at Precision is pretty nice but Dr Fitz really hasn't been, in my four times of seeing him. I will be going somewhere else in the future.

Pros: They had the bike I was in search of in my size. I called from their sister store and we asked if they could hold the bike while I drove down to get it and they did. Once I got there, they let me test drive and actually made me feel real comfortable doing so. Most of the time as a Black man, I often feel as stores dont trust you to test ride products. They typical look at you funny, watch you closely, or ask for a personal item in exchange. This place DID NOT. In fact, they guy was like please try and ride it before I purchase no questions and no apprehension. The bike worked well! They made some suggestion for seats and added a kick stand! I left happy and I felt comfortable making a purchase in this small town. OHHHHHHH and why was the bike $60-80 cheaper then what I found online and at other stores in St. Louis? Talk about a steal!!! Secondly, he said it would be a price and when I went to pay, it was half the price more and lastly, when I went on to ride my bike, the levers for the shifter was not screwed on at all. It was only put there, which could've made me crashed. If I wasn't good at riding my bike overall, I did like this place, but the incompetence and laziness of people that don't want to do their work is intense because it was to make sure it was in place. never coming back again.
