I called ahead of time to check on a prenatal massage for my wife; Donna stated she could not take a Groupon for it (due to their rules) but she would honor the price if booked directly. I felt that was fair to do. Donna is the sole therapist/proprietor. The clinic is tough to find - it's on the second floor of one building in a strip mall, and the second floor is more of a labyrinth than I expected. The waiting area is small and adequate for what she needs. My only complaint is that her suite does not have a restroom - you have to leave and go a door down the hall. The massage room was nice - the table was comfortable, the usual music was playing along with a white noise generator that helps eliminate any traffic noise. Donna is very friendly and approachable - she makes you feel comfortable when you walk in. The massage itself was wonderful, one of the better ones I've gotten. My wife also mentioned how good she felt afterward. Considering the entire experience, the only downside currently is there is no availability for a couples massage with her setup. However, as the business grows I can see that as an option. I will definitely come back and have another massage here....a good place for Stratford and the area.

For this, the massage table is specifically set up in such a way so that you can comfortably rest on your side (and rotate halfway through the session), with any adjustments necessary to your body/comfort in particular. Laura D. has been incredibly attentive to where my body needs work! Though pregnancy is known to come with hip and lower back pain, she also has helped so much in loosening the tension in my upper body/shoulders, with just the right amount of pressure. My whole body feels much better, with less achy hips especially. My mood and sleep have also improved. I also greatly appreciate the precautions taken here--masks are required by both staff and clients, and everything you touch is sanitized. Angie has also provided excellent support from the front desk, both onsite and over the phone. If you are considering a massage in the area (especially if you are pregnant), I highly recommend coming here! I was visiting family in Connecticut and had tweaked my back pretty badly. I booked with Sammi Therapeutic Massage hoping for some relief and was fully prepared to pay top dollar without expecting much beyond temporary comfort. What I got was completely different. This was not just a massage -- this was actual healing work. She took the time to understand where my pain was, explained what she was doing (because I asked), and truly got in there and worked through the problem. The pain I came in with? Gone. If I had more time in CT, I would've gone back again just to continue the work and honestly get better sleep. She clearly knows the body and her craft. It's a private, by-appointment setup with a single table, and every second of it was worth it. From the comfortable setup to how she incorporated hot stones and intuitively read exactly what my body needed -- it felt intentional and effective. I'm genuinely so glad I didn't end up at another "typical" therapeutic spot that just goes through the motions. I'm sure there are other good places out there, but I don't see myself trying them anytime soon -- I feel like I found my person. My daughter has some shoulder pain and came away from the massage experience saying that it was the best thing ever! I had read a review from someone who thought the experience was traumatizing and painful. I was a little worried but our experience was super. Yes, when she does a special deep tissue massage she hits painful spots, but I think the treatment was very helpful. Sammi is Chinese and I have had a yoga intstructor in China who did some of the same moves and made me wince from time to time. I highly recommend Sammi for a great massage!
