I loved the rain shower head, incredibly comfortable bed, warm lighting, granite counter tops, dark wood kitchen cabinets, and enormous windows. I'm not sure where else you could find an apartment that comes with 2 LCD TVs, 2 original paintings, a leather couch, dishes, towels, sheets...it is literally move in ready; you don't need to bring anything at all. Mayur is hands down the most friendly landlord I've ever known - I'd recommend taking a tour of the place just to meet him (and to see this incredible place). Pros: Close to everything in Harrisburg, nice furnishings (mostly Ikea), only have to write one check every month (cable, internet, electricity, water, sewage, trash, parking, etc., is all included in the rent), very quiet neighbors, jaws drop on everyone that visits, somehow the entire building always smelled really good...I'm sure I could go on for a while with this Cons: It is very expensive for Harrisburg...if you look at the most recent census this place is literally off the charts for a Harrisburg apartment - but you do get what you pay for (plus it is pretty much all inclusive). The apartments are on the small side; mine was around a measly 550sqft. A few times the toilet wouldn't stop running (it's not your conventional flapper toilet so I had no idea how to fix it)...maintenance fixed it promptly when called. It took a few months to get a key to the mailbox - I eventually just went to USPS to buy one. I am still trying to figure out why it's "Lofts" at 909 because it isn't a loft...just an apartment with really high ceilings.

Other posters are right about the lack of parking, which wasn't an issue for me when I first moved here. Bug problems (other posters are also correct about this) mean that pest control will come in and out of your place regularly, sometimes planned/expected and sometimes not. Maintenance will also feel free to come and go whenever, unless you fight hard to stop it. Rent *will* go up $20-30 monthly every year if you decide to live here, although I was told there would only be small (or no) annual increases before signing a lease. Photos will show you a rooftop deck, and while the view's fantastic, furniture keeps diminishing and it's kind of a wreck up there in reality (certain tenants share a huge piece of the blame for that). Stairwells continually have dirt, trash and dead bugs, seems like only halls are "cleaned" and then not always frequently or well. It's a good location and view, and the apartments themselves have some character over standard "cookie-cutter" buildings ... if you don't mind all the other stuff.

I've already started cleaning my apartment by myself and 80% was done. I wanted Dwight to clean the apartment perfectly the way the landlord wanted it so that I could get my deposit back. I scheduled a cleaning after I moved out and left PA. Apparently, he went there late in the morning and left the apartment 2 hours later and then he took pictures of the bathroom and refrigerator that I cleaned thoroughly by myself and he claimed he cleaned it. I trusted him as he worked with the Manada Hill apartments before and I thought he is not going to ruin his relationship with them and I fully paid him. The apartment manager visited my apartment a day after he cleaned and sent me a few pictures. She said he did nothing there and don't pay him until he return to complete the job. I contacted him and asked him to return and clean it thoroughly. Dwight said I did "Move out" cleaning and not "Move in" cleaning and they shouldn't expect a very clean apartment. I just asked him to clean the apartment. After I told him this is not right and this is not what I asked, this is exactly how he responded: "I will not discuss any further information about what was done and what should have been done. You wanted a move out cleaning, which was performed and explained. If they are unhappy, we provide different services that include a thorough and intricate clean, which would be a move in clean. " He never returned and the apartment complex deducted $300 from my deposit as you see in the picture. Please don't give any business to him. He is a fraud and lacks a work ethic. if you need confirmation, contact the Manada Hill Apartments office. They will they you the story. They told me they are not going to work with him again. Upon their arrival at 2pm (5 hours late), Dwayne called and advised they were at the house and decided to unload the truck in the driveway. As we pulled up to the house from picking up cleaning supplies and water for the guys we noticed our stuff on the driveway like it was a garage sale or something. It was so unprofessional and disappointing to see. Then, after they moved the things into the house Dwayne seemed frustrated and annoyed when I asked about him installing the TV's and assembly of the beds which was part of the agreement. He proceeded to install the bed and TV's. He seemed to struggle to install a TV wall mount and TV on the wall. Then, I went out to the hardware store to pick up more proper screws for the TV mount. Not sure what he did with the screws he removed in Manchester for the same mount. All the screws were packed and labled to make the installations smooth. But while I was gone he assembled 1 queen frame and a twin futon. When I came back they placed the TV on the wall and I looked at everything that wasn't till wrapped in plastic. They brought in the final piece of furniture. It was completely destroyed. I told them to leave it in the Garage. He decided to leave it right at the entrance of the garage door. So I had to move it to the side wall myself. He said it was fixable and its not. We went to sleep woke up the next morning sat back on the bed and the bed shifted with a loud bang. Noticed that the bed wasn't properly assembled screws missing and loose. I immediately checked everything. The twin bed was missing screws and shifting left and right. My antique coffee table was scuffed in mutiple places, dinning table scuffed, dressers scuffed, bed frame chipped and scuffed, some China plates cracked and destroyed, desk missing a part, screws checked and noticed screws were loosened and had to be tightened and the motor bar was disconnected, computer monitor mount was chipped like it was dropped on the ground. I was emailed by Dwayne to sent photos was told by email that they did their best and I would be fully compensated. I'm still waiting.
