She never answered back when I asked about lessons, and during one lesson, she even said she had to leave for a little bit (in the middle of my lesson) to go fill her car up with gas and go to the gas station. She is irresponsible and doesn't care about training properly. I came to a new barn not to long ago and it's so much better. Turns out, Katie was even teaching me wrong. My boots were far too big and my new trainer made sure to tell me. Plus, when I was learning to canter, I was told to land on the horses back, at my new barn, I am told to stand up slightly into a 2 point position, not only is this better on the horses back, but it is the correct way to ride. Also, the facility is horrible. Broken fences, frequent disease outbreaks, many of the staff smoke, horse poop everywhere and they never clean it out, horse fights, frequent horse injuries, etc. I've also seen my old instructor Katie, hit a horse on several occasions. I know you must disciple them if they do not listen or if they bite or kick, but she would fail on beat them with a crop, her hand, or anything else she could find. I would not recommend this stable to anyone.

We often bring friends and our extended family with us and they ALWAYS comment how nice it is. It is truly our home away from home. The facility is very clean, has a large outdoor and indoor lighted arena (great riding in the winter, rainy days or evening riding.) We love the picnic benches and having lunch with other boarders, or just relaxing after a ride or we can ride to the nice on-site pond and have a packed lunch. There is even a nice boarders indoor lounge with a full kitchen, lounge area, bathroom and shower. And very clean!! The owner takes great pride in the facility and ensures the boarders and the horses care is number one priority. There is always someone available 24-7. I'm not sure what the people who gave negative reviews were looking for; staff turnover is kind of inevitable in the horse world. And it is not our concern why someone left, or what that person did or did not do for the reason they are no longer there. But I am sure that a GOOD owner wants to make sure they have the right person there to take the best care of the horses and boarders. And this is why we board our horse here because the owner cares about the boarders and their horses. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to board at a facility that takes pride in customer service and the care of your horse(s) this is the place! We are thankful to have found such a wonderful place to board our horse and so is he! **It is also VERY comforting to know that when the State performed their normal periodic mandated State Board of Inspection of Licensed Horse Facilities in the winter during the freezing temps. the facility passed with flying colors!!

Deb is a first rate barn manager and I know she will call me if there is any concern. As I prefer, the horses spend most of their time in turnout except for inclement weather. The barns are well kept and the other boarders are all friendly despite being a diverse and eclectic group of horse owners. Nice grounds & area. very nice and big outdoor ring.but…read moreoutdoor ring isn't covered. an ok boarding price of $ 700 a month. but no indoor ring, one of the big fields needs work with removing rocks. they also charge to much for extra things such as care,stall rest etc.not to much of a training/show barn.so if you like quiet and to be alone most of the time then this is the barn for you.....They do have some added extra charges: stall rest is $15 PER DAY,hoof soak is $15 PER DAY,cold hose $15 PER DAY.holding for the vet/farrier $20 PER DAY....so a few of the extra charges are high priced.they don't really have an on site trainer so you'd have to bring in your own.the owners daughters are cute. little kids are welcomed but should be watched by parents because farm owners can be some what be pushy if kids aren't watched at the time or they are busy with their daughters.all in all an ok place to board.

The parking was easy to access and real close to the venue. The ceremony was nice, but the chairs were very close together and they didn't put any extra chairs out. They only had enough chairs for the number of people who attended. (I didn't appreciate this during COVID.) Furthermore, some people's view was blocked by pillars. This continued into the reception. We couldn't see some of the dancing and speeches because of the pillars. The Barn has one big room that is separated into by a partition for cocktail hour. I was surprised that all 100+ people easily fit in this smaller area. Part of the reason it worked was because they have a nice little loft where some people went for cocktail hour. As for the acoustics, I give this place 5 out of 5 stars. Granted it has a lot to do with the quality of the DJ's speakers, but it has good acoustics. The aesthetics of The Barn were okay. I feel like they were confused as to what they wanted to do when designing the space. They have 2 beautiful chandeliers that would be a perfect fit in a ball room, but don't work with the wood features. The last thing that I found a little distasteful was that you could see the tables that were going to be used for the reception during the ceremony.

The biggest issue that is making this a one star review was talking with the general manager, Maureen. We had great caterers, a day of coordinator, and fellow friends to help set up and clean up. We specifically let the professional caterers handle the tables and chairs for both set up and clean up while our friends and family focused only on the decorations. Yesterday night on June 7th we received an email about huge scuffs and scratches on the floor which caused us to ultimately lose our security deposit. Maureen handled the matter by speaking to us in an accusatory tone towards our friends who helped with set up and clean up. She did not hear us out and she quickly drew the conclusion that it was our friends who must've caused the damage without any evidence. Maureen was not their to oversee the set up and clean up and did NOT witness anyone creating these scuff marks. The biggest issue we had was when my dad was trying to figure things out with Maureen over the phone and she decided to hang up on him rather than sort things out in a professional manner. Overall, we are understanding of the terms in the contract, yet we did not expect to be treated with such little respect and unprofessionalism as we are customers and Maureen is the manager. The fact that she so quickly accused our friends and family is why we are upset with this venue. If the conversations had gone differently with Maureen, this would have been a totally different review.
