We initially loved taking our doodles to get groomed here when Jina was the owner but they've…read morechanged ownership since then and we've decided to part ways with Pretty Paws. There have been several changes implemented due to new ownership: 1) They no longer have cage free grooming and they put our dogs into kennels while they wait for us to pick them back up 2) Prices have gone up about 2-3 times due to the rise of inflation which is understandable but wanted to share to other dog owners for awareness 3) They use an assembly line process for grooming which is faster so our large dogs are typically in and out within ~2 hours Although our doodles typically came out well groomed for the most part, they both began to dread coming in and felt more anxious than usual, which wasn't a good sign to us. Additionally, the new front desk staff (male) could work on his customer service etiquette as he has came off as condescending multiple times to both myself and my husband regarding the care of our dogs. Our other friends who also brought their dogs here have shared similar sentiments. This is not their fault, but the location can be challenging to get to during traffic hours (they close at 4PM Monday through Saturday) since it's right on 50 and a lot of cars are going out west.

I have been going here for over 6 years - I found the post I originally made about this place…read more WELL. 5 stars no longer applies. I moved away to NY for 6 months and when I came back I went straight to the same groomers my Pup had been to since he was a puppy. I called to make my usual appointment and was asked To resubmit veterinary information again in a rude manner. Then when I arrived I was greeted by a new face at the desk. A man who said he was hired to do everything the right way unlike "before". Yet when I Asked if they were under new Ownership the man said, "NO" Here are my following reasons for their 1 Star- 1. New ownership Yet the man at front desk outright told Me ownership did not change. WHY LIE About the switch? 2. Price- increased and they even charged me. Handling fee bc they said my Dog was unmanageable, yet, the previous owners LOVED HIM. 3.customer service- new guy upfront-He was unprofessional and unpleasant. I shouldn't have left my dog especially because I felt Something was off with this man's energy. But I summed it up to maybe he was having an Off" Day. He was just rude and unkind, unlike previous owners. He would go on and on about how he was there from out of state bc his mom was unwell so I also felt bad for him, but I was also on a tight schedule. I just found this to be extremely unprofessional. Get this- I tried something new with my pup for the first time and had his tail Colored ( safely of course bc this is practically my Son). The man comments- he's not a fan of Color but to each their own. That owners who dye their dogs should do their research on how bad it is for their pets... uh really? I just ignored his unwarranted opinion but was quite upset by it. 4. going to trust myself and my pups initial reaction when picking him up. He use to love Going to the groomers and now he's terrified. 5. I paid extra for teeth cleaning which I could tell was not done and they did not trim his dewclaws which was previously always cut. At pick up, even though I was trying to get out of there as much as my dog was, the man proceeded to lecture me about taking care of my dog at home, so that he is not so matted, and that is why they had to shave him all the way at this point, I was so traumatized I just wanted to get the heck out of there, so I just paid and left as unhappy as my pup was. Oh and before I could finish paying the man asked if I was going to tip bc it is customary... really!?! I'm in the service industry I'm well aware... Never going Back - sad about the changes!

I've been a loyal customer for over 5 years, visiting at least once a week, and my dog is groomed…read moreevery two months. Over the years, the entire staff has become like a second family. From the cashiers and stockers to the grooming team, every single employee has always been kind, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. They treat our pets like family, and that means everything because our animals are our children. However, I have a serious concern. Over the last couple of months, I've watched amazing employees come and go, and it's become clear that many of them are not being paid what they're worth. That is unacceptable. Your employees are the reason customers like me keep coming back. They work hard, care deeply, and represent your business every single day. Pay them what they deserve. Greed gets a company nowhere, but valuing and investing in your people builds loyalty, strengthens your business, and keeps exceptional employees around. You have an incredible team. Don't take them for granted. They deserve to be recognized--not just with words, but with fair pay.

The turnover was a little difficult to deal with but wasn't bad, we had awesome employees like Ana who left and Colin who is amazing. Today I had the most atrocious service by an associate who always had an issue with me in the store, the reason? I still don't know but today I called to request a case of your Redford beef recipe like I always do, someone indicated that they have the case for me and I can pick it up at any time, that was nice as always, but...this lady went to the little office and mentioned something to a young guy about me and he gave her the order to fill up a little form in order to make "this type or orders (case)" then he started yelling from this cubicle and said something to me, I ask him to come out and talk to me, he came out is a very "macho man" posture, he said that for now on, I must call to place this "special order" other ways I won't be able to get it! He mentioned that I need to stop talking to the trouble lady and that he is the GENERAL MANAGER and I must follow this store policy. At this point the cashier Collin walked away indicating that what they said makes no sense! If you have it I can get it right? What's the difference between ordering like I always do vs getting it from the shelve! I still can get the whole case! I asked for his name and he replied MY NAME IS JEREMY! Then I requested a corporate number and a supervisor name, he refused to give me the number saying you're not getting nothing and get out! This got so loud that guest were also watching this non sense, he took the whole case of food plus the peanut butter sticks that was already scanned and place it on the rack! Then he replied again GET OUT! My dog got scared and I had to pick him up and leave after this incident, my blood pressure got really bad and at one point I got dizzy, then I called corporate and file a complaint. Was this necessary? This doesn't make any sense, he was extremely RUDE and disrespectful! I never experienced such an abusive individual that thinks he can disrespect anyone just because he is the GM! We are paying guests! We pay his salary! And he also said "no you don't " obviously he doesn't not this business concept. One of the requirements to work at this place should be the love and respect to animals and obviously to paying guests! Being a macho man doesn't help, you need to gain guests! That's your job! It takes time to establish relationships with guests and only seconds to lose them. Jeremy represents your company, your brand! Guests don't have time to complain...they just simply don't come back. This was an awful experience, this kid needs to be trained properly and his assistant as well. Please hire people with passion, respect and integrity, not just bodies...

Worried me was we couldn't see my dog on the cameras and we called asking where was my dog and if he was ok? The Manager Katty responded "he was in a treat break and all is fine" Second day same thing and we call them again and the Manager responding "they are out for a break and all is good" Okay. Next day I called to let her know that we going to pick him up at 4pm. Asked for the bath and get him ready. My husband went to pick him up and he noticed that my dog had injuries in his face both sides. The owner of the dog stop was there and she asked what happened with him to her staff and the young boy who watches the dogs said "he was playing aggressively with another dog and couldn't separate them" When he got home with my dog I soon they walked in the house I noticed clearly that my dog face was swallowed very much. I took a closer look and saw missing pieces of skin. The right side worse than the other one. We took a pictures and sent a complaint email to the Dog stop for the negligence and carelessness with my dog. We never get any response from them. We brought my dog to the Pet Hospital and they test and give him a skin treatment using strong medicine and cone. The medicine prescribed was for any inflammation, skin abnormalities, skin trauma. According to The Pet Hospital they say "can't say what was the cause or what happened they only see the facts and give the right treatment" We approached to the Dog place the Mgr wasn't there but we left the veterinarian records about my dog treatment. Later Mgr. Katty called saying my email went to spam email and my dog didn't have any injuries and nothing. She didn't know when it happened and probably he did himself" Also said spoke with my dog Hospital and they never said was a bite by dog" But they never said it wasn't neither because they don't know! Obviously she tried to play down and avoid any responsibility of neglecting my dog. Trying to put all the weight of this situation on my dog doctors statement. Never offered any apology or compensation for what happened or find any solution or alternative. Poor customer service! I will never bring my dog here again!!!

I stumbled upon this place after visiting family. Normally we take our dog to Pet Supplies Plus…read morebecause we enjoy washing our dog ourselves. But since our dog had a butt mishap (aka we tried to trim his butt at home) we thought he needed some professional help. We called this place and got an appointment the next day. If you are new they require rabies documentation for your first visit. During the phone call, they just ask general questions on your dog's name, weight, your info, and times you can come in. In addition, they are very upfront with their fees. We told them our dog weight/breed so the receptionist gave us a range so we knew what to expect. I believe they give a range because until they see the dog, they won't know what extra things might need to be done. The day of the visit, we felt very welcomed and seeing all the dogs in the back and in the front waiting area gave our mind ease. Our dog is quite shy and a scaredy cat (except at the dog park, go figure lol). Upon checking in, one of the groomers came out saw his butt and knew he needed to be saved from a haircut got wrong. Although shy, as soon as we let him behind the gate with the groomer, he was quite willing to follow them...but very slow. They gave him a little butt trim and a very good wash that including nail trimming which took roughly 3-4 hours. When picked up he smelled so good, looked extremely happy and calm, and had the cutest bandana on him. The price we paid was less than what we were quoted on which was awesome. But this is probably because he didn't need much of a cut. We definitely plan to use this place in the future as all staff was very kind, all the dogs we saw in the establishment (including ours) were quite calm/happy/excited. The price is reasonable and I like that you can get quoted where they give you a range from the cheapest it could be to the most expensive.
