I did not buy a car from Peachtree Auto Sales, but I can speak to the character of its owner…read more Two weeks ago, I had the cable leading from my alternator to my battery snap off due to wear and tear. I spent around three hours pushing my car along the side of I-85, and jumping in to pop start it, just to get it running for just a little bit longer, and for a few more miles. About two hours before I was scheduled to shoot maternity photos for a client, my car finally gave out on the ramp at exit 61. I coasted the car off the exit and into the parking lot of Jim's business. After spending some time looking around the engine bay to try and find the source of the problem, and finally identifying it; I went into Jim's business to ask whoever was there, where the nearest auto parts store was. I had planned to walk to the nearest parts store to buy some additional wire if I could find it. But when I stepped inside, it was Jim, the owner, who was friendly, sitting at the front desk, and more than ready to help. Not only did Jim give me directions, but he came out to access the situation. Then without being asked, Jim then locked up his business, told me sit tight, and left his business on his own time, in his own car, to go pick up tools to help me fix my car so I could get home. Not long after, Jim returned with a few sockets, pliers, and an adjustable wrench, which allowed me to disconnect the battery, and remove the damaged connector that had failed on my cars alternator. I then used the tools he provided, to strip the cover off the wire, and wrap the bare wire around the alternator post, and secured it with what was left of the damaged connection hardware. Jim then unlocked his business and let me wash my hands, and get cleaned up before getting behind my car himself and pushing it, to allow me to pop start it one last time for the drive home. After it started and ran normally, I promptly parked the car and left it running to shake the hand, and possibly hug the generous man who went out of his way to help me get home. Jim is the kind of person who is willing to drop what he's doing, and go out of his way to help a stranded stranger get home. He's the kind of guy who will actually risk losing an hour of productivity to give help to someone who needs it. And because of Jim, the three hours I spent pushing and pop starting my car on the side of the interstate weren't wasted. When my car broke down in Jim's parking lot I didn't know if I was going to get home, much less make it work two hours later. But Jim left his business for a short time to ensure that I had the tools I needed to improvise a repair on my car in his parking lot and get home. The term "selfless" is often thrown around without regard for its actual meaning. On the day my car broke down in his parking lot, Jim not only exemplified selflessness, but compassion, empathy, and self-sacrifice as well. He not only cared, but he offered help, after I had been passed for hours by literally hundreds of drivers on the interstate while pushing my car. I've written a number of reviews on this website, but I've never been particularly compelled to write one based simply on the kindness of another human being. Thanks to Jim, I can now claim that I have. Jim was willing to go to such lengths to help a complete stranger from whom he stood to gain nothing, that I can only imagine that buying a car from the man is an even more sincere and pleasurable experience. Jim, should you happen to read this, thank you again. -Rob (owner of the limping red Miata)

I visited over 90 local car dealerships during my 2 week search. Most of them were worse than internet dating - they were lying before their lips even started moving. If you are hunting for car, save time, energy and money with a trip to Dogwood Auto Sales in Fairburn. I almost didn't go see them as it's quite a drive but all of their great reviews made me make the trip. Nathan & Chuck are a father and son team - totally honest, straight forward and just good people. All of their cars are hand selected by Nathan. The vehicles are clean - SUPER CLEAN, well vetted and because they know it's a used car, they make sure you have a 3-month bumper to bumper warranty on whatever car you buy. This way, if something does break, you are covered. It's a used car so you just never know what might go wrong with it. It's obvious with these two that they take a ton of pride in their operation. They were easy to deal with before and after the sale. I have purchased dozens of vehicles over the years - for myself and my business. It's almost always been a headache. Don't do what I did - don't waste time - start your car search with Nathan & Chuck!! If they don't have the car you want in stock, get pre-approved on your loan and they can find you the car you are after. Most dealers have a "starter" price - cheap enticement to get you in the door and then hit you with dealer fees and other nonsense to add another $2,000 to the price of the car. Not here - the price is the price with no hidden add-ons. Buying from Dogwood will restore your faith in humanity - these two are the exception to the rule that car dealers are total criminals. We ended up with the perfect car for my daughter, low miles, near perfect condition and a price thousands less than comprable vehicles. Thank you Chuck & Nathan for just being who you are!

I used Amerifreight to ship my car from San Diego, CA, to Bentonville, AR. It was my first time…read moreshipping a vehicle, and despite all of the initial research I did, I learned from firsthand experience that working with most major car shipping companies that are broker-based will always be a gamble. I am a student and could not afford anything that wasn't an open-carry, broker-based situation, so I decided to go with Amerifreight. I have mixed feelings that lean more negative than positive. The cons: - I was initially quoted 1,200, which was 200-300 dollars lower than other competitors. That seemed reasonable to me, so I accepted. I soon learned that in the case of Amerifreight, A QUOTE IS A QUOTE. - Once you agree to work with Amerifreight, your representative will periodically call you with carrier offers that might be higher than your original quote. My first offer came a week and a half before my departure date, and was 1,700. I turned it down immediately. Three days before I left for Arkansas, I received and accepted an offer of 1,225 dollars. I am glad that I waited it out, but for those who have less flexibility in their schedule, this waiting game can be anxiety-inducing and frustrating. - The drop off went pretty smoothly, but you REALLY have to be flexible since the carrier gives you such a large time window. - My driver was a day and a half late on the delivery. The carrying company/his boss called me with updates, and I tried to be as patient and accommodating as possible. Once he did arrive, I was hassled by his boss with a barrage of phone calls. He not only yelled at me for not meeting the driver outside immediately but also demanded that I pay upfront in cash, which was definitely NOT stipulated in the agreement. When I told him that I did not agree to pay in cash and that there were no ATMs or banks within walking distance, he continued shouting. In that moment, I was convinced that they were going to hold me and my car hostage, lol. Eventually, the driver had the bright idea to ask his boss if I could either pay using Zelle or Venmo, and the boss immediately switched up, saying, "Oh, why didn't you ask about paying with Zelle or Venmo in the first place? Sure!" Like I knew that was an option...??? After that ordeal, I finally received my car. :)))) Pros: - My car was undamaged, and the cargo I had inside was untouched. - Despite the boss being a total chud, the driver was a nice guy. - I paid a lower price...but at what cost??

That is unacceptable. I previously brought the car in for this same safety-related issue and spent more than four hours waiting on site, only to be told they were unable to replicate the problem. I ultimately had to record the issue while driving just to demonstrate that it was actually happening. When I tried to schedule another appointment, I was told the diagnosis could take up to two days. However, because courtesy vehicles are apparently never available, the dealership offered no reasonable accommodation despite this being a warranty issue involving a safety concern. I just have to be without a car for two days, at my own expense. Given that the lane assist system is not functioning properly, I expected a greater sense of urgency, better accommodation, and more responsive customer service. Instead, I'm once again left to find another Kia dealership willing to take a safety-related warranty issue seriously.
