Plenty of room for what you and your partners want to do, enough parking and the place itself is located in the middle of two towns which have most things you would need to survive, in case you forget something. We booked a stay expecting an elevated Catskills getaway based on the property's marketing, pricing, and branding. Instead, we arrived at what felt like a hotel that was not ready to be operating at the level it advertises. Our room showed visible signs of unfinished renovation, including unpainted wall patches where fixtures had been removed, remnants of painter's tape, damaged paint on the door, and a bathroom barn door that would slide open on its own. The room was aesthetically minimalist to the point of being impractical (but not even that cute), with very little surface space and a surprising lack of outlets. The larger problem was the number of amenities and experiences that were unavailable or poorly executed. We were informed after check-in that dining service would be significantly limited due to a soft opening. The pool was not operating. Weekend yoga was unavailable despite being marketed. Parts of the property contained boxes and visible signs that preparations for the season were still underway. None of this was communicated before arrival. The food experience was equally disappointing. There was no vegetarian dinner option during our stay, which is difficult to understand at a hotel catering to a NYC weekend crowd. Breakfast was slow, and bad to the point of almost inedible. Even small guest-facing details reflected a lack of attention. For example, the s'mores were oddly restrictive, short on supplies, and featured marshmallows that were so hard they were difficult to roast. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that many of these issues seemed entirely avoidable. Weather is outside a hotel's control. Failing to communicate unavailable amenities, opening before operations are fully ready, and charging premium prices for an incomplete experience are not. The entire stay felt like a triumph of branding over hospitality. While the property photographs well from the right angle and with much moved out of the frame, far fewer aspects of it function well.

The resort is nestled in the Catskills surrounded by lush greenery and the smell of nature. The property is beautiful, very clean, and has that cozy modern woodsy aesthetic. It's perfect for a weekend getaway or if you just want to escape in nature for a couple of days. On the map the property looks huge, but everything is pretty quick to walk to. Our room was so lovely, and there is no TV which really gets you to be disconnected. There is a huge pool, with floaties and a truck side bar which was closed but is open on the weekends. There's also a sauna and gym which is overlooking the views of green hills. There is a nice lounge/communal area next to the cafe/reception where you can hangout and play all sorts of board games and have a nice drink. Outside there is also a covered area with a ping pong table, giant jenga, and connect 4. Each night they have a fire pit, weather permitting with smores. One of the nights it was raining so sadly no fire pits for smores, one of the staff members was so kind to heat up some smores for us and some other guests and it was nice to just have that little treat to make up for the weather. You can explore the beautiful grounds, where on a short walk across the road is their barn where they host weddings, a large pond, and if you walk further down you'll find yourself next to a stream. All the staff were so friendly and accomodating. I imagine it's more busy on the weekends especially when their pool bar and on site restaurant is open. It was a magical place. I'm not doing backflips of joy over my experience, but it really was quite lovely. Here's the review I wrote for Trip Advisor: We stayed over a Saturday night, on March 31st. We had originally wanted to stay in the lodge building, but it wasn't open yet for the season. It's just as well, we had a delightful time in the main house. We were the only guests, since it was a misty, chilly weekend (we were up to visit friends). The owners are helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Cranberry Room ... I feel like the web site photos do not do the room justice. The furniture is very nice, without the lace and frills of too many B&Bs. The queen bed was comfortable enough ... we didn't sleep well, but I don't blame the bed, I think we just sleep best in our own bed! The house itself retains a lot of its original 19th century details, like original hardware, so if you like "old houses", you'll like this one. Breakfast in the morning was right on time, and delicious. Special mention goes to the views - this area is gorgeous, even on a rainy March/April weekend. I would definitely come back. The only negative I can think of is that the road leading to the house is not paved, which may present a problem, especially at the bottom of the hill. (It's also badly marked, but so are many roads in the region). The drive for the house is not paved, either, but I felt like that went with the country atmosphere, so I'm not sure it's a detriment. For the price, and the area, a great value, and a wonderful stay.

The additional $10 per day pay for a nice view spot is worth it. Our location is on the very top where we have a view of the mountain and the reservoir . This tiny cabin fits all the basic needs. Bed, kitchenette with cooking supplies , dining table, a small ref , stove top and toilet and shower with a view. A cute big window next to bed is the main attraction of the cabin. For two consecutive mornings, we stayed longer in bed and enjoyed the beautiful view from our window. During our nighttime stays , we truly enjoyed the campfire. Woods, starter and s'mores are supplied. I am still waiting if my credit card will be charged for these provisions . I read a review posted which was before Post Card Cabins was bought by Marriot that they hit a charge for these supplies plus for some snacks and drinks on the kitchen countertop . The Adirondack chairs outside are comfortable . The picnic table is perfect for a nice dining outdoor with a beautiful nature vibes. Our cabin area was so serene, we had a privacy as the next door cabin is hundred feet away from us. Western Catskills is a perfect location for us as our goal of coming here was to escape the city to relax and reset during the stay. If you have same goal, this kind of setting is recommended for you. This is your escape place.

We reserved the place just in time for the autumn peak season in the area. The place was about 2.5-3 hours drive from where we live, the trip itself was delightful due to the colorful leaves on trees that we passed by. The charming retreat was easy enough to find with the help of GPS. There were several tiny cabins in the compound which were designated with names so that guest could easily find them. Cabins are far enough from each other to provide privacy for each separate guest. Be sure to drive slow when in the compound as the ground was a little rough. Each cabin guest has a designated parking spot which is neat. The cabin that we were assigned to has several outdoor stairs, a short walk from the parking spot to the cabin, cabin is situated on top of a hill which gives guest a nice view from the cabin. Outside of each cabin, they provided a fire pit, picnic table, 2 lounge chairs and fire logs with fire starters. For us to get in to the cabin, they provided us with a code so that we can electronically unlock the door. The cabin was cute and tiny but they have provided all the essentials which included a comfortable queen's bed, small table, mini-refrigerator, a kitchenette, two burner stove, coffee supplies, kitchen utensils, paper towels, complimentary smores kit, coat hooks, toilet paper, towels, body wash, conditioner, shampoo, flushing toilet, hot shower and a few more. You won't believe that all of it could fit in that cute cabin. They kept the cabin tidy and clean. The best thing that I love in the cabin is the large picture window, my wife and I had that feeling where we sort of just wanted to stay in bed, cuddle and stare at the nature outside the large picture window. In summation, my wife and I had a wonderful time at this tiny cabin compound, we had a peaceful campfire each night that we stayed, savored the tranquility of the place, took pleasure in touring the small town of Roscoe, admired the nearby reservoir, found joy in hiking some nearby trails, appreciated finding/exploring covered bridges and had fun visiting a nearby brewery. Our overall experience was relaxing, peaceful and an exceptional escape from city life, with minimal-to-no Wi-Fi or TV, which encourages disconnection and quietude. DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY RECOMMENDABLE !!!
