A few of us went here for New Years Eve It was a fix price menu As you walk inside it feels like your in someone's home very warm and welcoming As we sat in front of the fire place Gary came out with plates of appetizers for every little party of people that where seated on the couch or standing around as we sat at our tables there were more snacks homemade cheese stick (not mozzarella) And nuts. The tables where set up nice with our own large pitcher of water , wine glasses Gary would come out and see what you wanted d for apps. Per table he goes in the kitchen and makes it up and serves it Every table Gary did this The table appetizer came out hot and both where fantastic ( soup or mussels ) For dinner everyone had the same dish so it was just the large dog Otis that would come by Dinner was a pesto stuff filet with twice backed potato, carrots cooked perfectly Dessert was expresso ice cream , apple tart , and coconut cake all was yummy Coffee and hot tea And champagne toast for all who wanted one It was my first time here and enjoyed it very much I would say it's not a place that you eat and run It's very laid back no sense of time no worries just enjoy the dinner, company of others and Otis

Beautiful covered bridge that leads to restaurant

This is such a beautiful place and the food is outstanding. It's just Romantic and peaceful and warm and cozy and all the things! We had a wonderful time.

This is truly a hidden gem in the heart of the Catskills. My husband and I got married in Delhi and our venue owners recommended we stay with Gary at the Mountain Brook Inn. We are so happy and lucky to have found this place! An old wooden bridge decorated with string lights leads you over a peaceful stream and up a small hill to the inn. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated with rustic, minimalistic catskill charm. Each room has a small living room with a bedroom off to the side, and small kitchenette (fridge, sink and utensils). The estate is exactly what you would envision for the Catskills. It has two peaceful rivers that fork to one rolling stream, with a gazebo nestled alongside, an old stone bridge from the 1700s, an open field and a barn with chickens and hens. The property itself is fun to explore. On top of all the perks and beauty the property holds, Gary and his St. Bernard Otis are what make this place absolutely perfect. He was the best host - responsive, joyful, accommodating to us and our wedding party and attentive to us our whole stay. We felt right at home and so comfortable at his inn. We highly recommend the Mountain Brook Inn and anyone who has the pleasure of meeting Gary and Otis is very lucky!

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream - Adorable place!!!!!!

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream

The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream was largely nice, though it had its pluses and minuses. The…read moreinn was clearly a motel in a previous life, as it had that lengthy structure with outdoor entrances to each room. The parking lot was gravel-based, so vehicles were parked a bit haphazardly, but the lot's spaciousness ensured that it was not really an issue. The hotel was right on the stream with a lovely grassy area dotted with Adirondack chairs, hammocks, and other ways to enjoy the view. The office was located right next to that little park and was also where the continental buffet breakfast was served. The small room had a great view of the water from its few tables. The breakfast options included various hot beverages, several types of milk, yogurt, berries, granola, pastries, breads, hard-boiled eggs, lox, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more. It was really the perfect few bites to start the day with energy and wellness. While the inn had a few larger cabins, many of the rooms were supposedly rather tiny, including ours. The room had a queen-sized bed, nightstand, wall-mounted television, and wooden desk with matching chair. There was a closet with some hanging and shelving space, as well as a hair dryer and coffeemaker. The room really left a lot to be desired from a space perspective, as it was hard to navigate. For instance, the room might have come with 2 luggage racks, but there was really only space for one. The bathroom was also tiny, and it was near impossible to use the toilet without sideswiping the pedestal sink on your way. The shower was a decent size at least. The bathroom came with fluffy towels and Aveda products, which were both appreciated. We also loved that the temperature and pressure of the water were phenomenal; in fact, the shower was like a fire hose! Though the room was small, it was SPOTLESS! Also, its individual heater packed a great deal of warmth. There was not an abundance of electrical outlets, but the alarm clock had one built in, as well as two USB ports. The extremely gracious staff had also left a binder of local recommendations for us on the table. The bed, however, was lumpy, and the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. From a location standpoint, the inn was only a few blocks from either end of town, depending on which way you wanted to travel. The residential roads were very dark at night and many did not have sidewalks, so we definitely needed to be alert walking to and from the main drag, even though we knew the town was overly safe. The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream made up for its lack of amenities and small rooms with efficient, friendly service and clear dedication to guest satisfaction.

All liquid soaps and other stuff. Room #16 was very nice and clean. I would recommend and I would return. Nice fully equipped kitchen. Continental breakfast was OK.

When we checked in, we were greeted warmly. I really appreciated help with my bag up the somewhat steep & narrow stairs. (No elevator - so keep that in mind if you come to stay.) Bed was firm, bathrooms were spotless, extra pillows in the closet are sealed in plastic, bedding all super fresh. Phone chargers next to the bed & sofa(bed) & solid wifi made this quaint & cozy room connected. Full length mirror, hair dryer & an iron & ironing board were much appreciated. Our 2nd floor room was very quiet & the blackout drapes on all windows plus the split ac & heat controls made everything adjustable for a perfectly cavelike environment. Hello solid night's sleep! A small fridge in the room had little Coffeemate creamers for the in-room coffee maker, but there is always a coffee & tea station downstairs too. The town is literally across the street! The Baseball Hall of Fame & the Farmers Museum are both a block & a half away, and in between are several spirits shops, baseball stores, restaurants and a bakery. Breakfast is 8am-9:30am & it is a nice offering: Oatmeal packets, cold cereals & milk Sausage & pepper frittata - custardy! Corn muffins (a must try!) Yogurts Fruit salad Heidelberg wheat, raisin & sunflower seed bread slices (& toaster) Coffee & tea station Orange, ruby grapefruit & cranberry juices Jams, butter, & condiments If you're coming to town & prefer a close stay to the sights here, & a smaller inn experience, this is the place to be! The inn has a selection of cycling-related accessories to purchase also.
