My husband was stuck at his job at 5:15am down in SE Fresno. I went down to help him tried to jump the car, it would start but was iffy to stay that way. Diagnostic reader said it was the battery. When I called the insurance company, ito,d the I can't get it in neutral because it's dead, but if the tow guys jump it, they can get it in neutral. Took 2 hours to get a tow, but I think it was more on the insurance end, not Walts towing and it was 6am on a Saturday morning.sorry don't remember who helped me, but it was 2 guys. They asked if it would go in neutral (guessing that message wasn't relayed). They were very professional. I've learned almost all tow truck drivers don't know how to put a Toyota Prius in neutral. Stranded. Spoke with driver to arrive in 5 minutes. Drove right past us and when contacted refused to return. Cell phone died after last contact. Claimed was in the area 15 minutes looking for us but only went by as he was leaving. Could not have been here 15 minutes based on the previous call. Unsympathetic to the situation of the heat, length of time waiting or cell issue. Tried to flag down but didn't respond due to high rate of speed. Appealed to his empathy to our situation. Refused. Informed I would have to review on Yelp but was indifferent due to his rating and high volume of business. The car was towed into a repair shop with an oil leak. The Walt's Towing driver was instructed to back his truck in to the shop to drop the car. He was parked on the other side of the building and decided to drive the car in. Oil leaked as he drove it and left a big puddle. I hope the engine is not damaged. read more

It's the 4th of July. I'm on call for work so of course I get called in, why wouldn't I? I'm 1 intersection away from work and that's when I lose all power in my RAV4. I roll to a stop on friggin Herndon Ave cuz that's my luck. Pop the hazard lights on and start searching on yelp. I gotta be honest, Walt's was NOT the first # I called. I called 3 places before finally calling Walt's towing and they were the only towing company that answered. So I need to be at work within 30 min of being called in as it's usually a life on the line. Walt's sent a flatbed immediately and I was clocked in within that 30 min. So fast! Ok, crisis averted but now that it's Saturday I have to get my car to the shop and THIS time I called Walt's only. Sal came out within 15 min of the call and took me and my Yoda to the mechanic with ease. Sal was cool to chat with and they are professionals. I mean, yeah I know they tow for a living but that's MY car they're handling. It's normal to be a lil protective. I had no worries. Called my Allstate roadside service to request a tow from Downtown to BMW of Fresno, Walt's Towing was right on time as expected. Unfortunately he's not the first option when it comes to insurance roadside services, but should be! The first options failed to come through, one in particular was very rude over the phone. This is the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. It was so bad this is the first time I've ever been moved to post a Yelp review. They treated my son and I horribly. The lady there threatened to charge me more because I was "wasting her time". They gave us one price over the phone and a different one when we were there. She shouted in my face. My car broke down at 5:30am and the original tow truck company I was supposed to go through never showed up, then proceeded to argue with me on the phone. After dealing with that catastrophe, I was in contact with Walt's towing. Sal got to my location 30 minutes earlier than the ETA that I was given by my insurance company, got car loaded up and towed it to the mechanic all before my scheduled appointment. He was very friendly and very understanding with how frustrated I was (not with him, with the other place). He sent me a picture of my car when he dropped it off and even followed up with me later in the day to make sure everything had gotten taken care of since I was not there when he dropped off the vehicle. I had issues with my car yesterday and was stuck at a gas station. I called several mobile mechanics to see if anyone could assist me, no one returned my calls. I then begin calling towing services as it was getting late. I left messages for so many towing places, no one returned my calls. I called Walts Towing, the owner answered right away. I explained my situation, he asked me to call his driver Sal, who also answered right away. He let me know he was towing someone else but would go help me in about 35 minutes. He actually got there in 20 minutes. He tried to see if he could fix the problem with my car, he couldn't and quoted me $75.00 to tow my car to my house. I thought it was a bit much but it was well worth it since the other places never returned my call. Sal was very nice and professional. He even referred a mobile mechanic he knows.
