We've had a kid in the summer swim sessions (there are three sessions a summer) the past three years. I love it because the teachers are great (I assume they are St. Kate's swim team members), its well organized, the facilities are nice, and the kids learn a ton because they go every day for 2 or 3 weeks rather than once a week for eight to ten weeks, which is what most swim lessons are like. It seems like the learning is stronger with the every day method. I've continued to be extremely pleased with the program, and plan to continue to have a kid as a participant for many summers to come!

Granted the "classes" are about 3-4 kids average but the classes are all at the same time as everyone else and in a small section of the lane. This is not conducive to learning for the other pitfall, the overstimulation and inability to accommodate children with special needs. Trying to learn to swim in a loud, busy and crowded pool is daunting. No dig at the staff, they are doing the best they can given the circumstances presented. Maybe Foss can carve out some time and space for kids with non-neurotypical or special needs.

The pool water and the pool area are vey comfortable for the swimmers and the family members waiting. They also have all of the Anne ties you might need such as showers, swim suit swimmers and plenty changing rooms. The one thing I don't love is that they advertise a 30 minute lesson but they don't usually start my daughter's class until about 5-6 min after the start of the hour but and exactly at 30 past the hour. Also, they have between 1-4 kids per plane, so that also limits how much swimming time they actually get. I wish there was more consistency.

The teachers are great, super friendly and I love the fact that you move up levels as soon as you pass all the skills - you don't have to have a mid session assessment like you do at Foss. Another great thing about Goldfish is the fact that you can sign up any time and I've been able to easily get both of my kids lessons in the same time slot. If you are looking for a great place for your kiddo to learn how to swim, look no further!!

Staff is friendly for the most but but I don't recommend the pool for toddlers. It is set up like a beach and gets very deep even in the "kiddie" area. They don't have a zero depth section that isn't connected to the rest of the beach like area.
