Huge selection of healthy foods and treats at their concession stands with plenty of tables, and right next to Elsmore so you can poke around at their clearance suits. Kid said the showers were cold, but I suspect the water was running all day. My favorite venue for swim meets thus far.

The instructor was very…read morecritical and refused to let him open his eyes to do the brick test and could not look in before going into the water for the brick. He failed and was told he could not continue. The tests were done in a punishing way and under threat of failing. He has passed the brick test at three other locations with plenty of time. The instructor did not have any empathy or customer service. Pool does not have any natural light and is colder than normal. There was mildew on all the caulk around the pool. Stay away from this instructor and location.

I love that they don't charge you joiners fee and you can buy your membership several different ways. You can pay for a day pass, punchcard (certain amount of times), or by the months increments (1,3,6,12). A day pass I think is only $5. They also have free nights for anyone who lives in Brooklyn center on Saturday evenings. You are able to use both the pool and the fitness room it's from 5pm to 7pm. I originally bought a 10 inch pass. I liked it so much. I'm planning to now getting a year membership. It's a lot less crowded than other gyms . At least in the evenings. I've never been there other times of the day. I haven't had chance to do the group fitness yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm also planning to sign up for some swim lessons this year. I would love to learn this would be for summer.

I was very disappointed with our experience at Webber's Natural Swimming Pool. My 8-year-old son…read moreand my other children are confident, experienced swimmers, yet we were repeatedly told they had to stay within arm's length of me at all times. To help the lifeguards feel more comfortable, I even put life jackets on my children, but it still wasn't enough. Throughout our visit, my kids weren't allowed to swim away from me and had to remain right next to me the entire time, which made it impossible for them to enjoy the pool. As we were leaving, I read the posted sign, which stated that children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent. Since my son is 8 years old, I questioned why this rule was being enforced on him. I was told the sign was a "typo," which was frustrating and confusing. If the posted rules are incorrect, they should be updated instead of expecting guests to follow rules that aren't clearly communicated. I also couldn't help but notice that my family appeared to be the only Muslim family there. I don't know whether that influenced how we were treated, but the experience left me feeling singled out. I hope management reviews how policies are communicated and applied so that all families are treated consistently and respectfully. We had to follow our kids around the pool and they weren't allowed in middle of the pool due to me not getting in.

Because it is a biofiltered pool, the water isn't as clear as a chlorinated pool, but it still felt clean and well maintained. I came here with some friends the day before the Fourth of July and was surprised it wasn't as packed as it could've been! Some things to note: 1. Bags are inspected upon entry. 2. Outside food and beverages are not allowed (although I had a water bottle and they let it through). 3. There's no changing room onsite, but there's a bathroom that can be used for changing. 4. There's lots of lawn space to spread out. 5. While there's no parking lot, there's ample street parking. Definitely a place to add to the summer rotation :)

There are many options for Kids to adults to take lessons throughout the week. Anyone can take lessons here, but if a member, a discount is offered. The locker rooms have locks you self set a code. There are a few individual rooms with a shower and toilet as well. Upstairs is a full workout facility with weights, machines and some classes scheduled. I've seen other community classes offered as well, like an art class. If you get hungry the local restaurant Soul Bowl is available to feed you yummy soul food 6 days/ week, (closed Saturdays). There's a childcare center, work out floor, pool, hydrotherapy, and work out classes- not to mention they have partnered with Soul Bowl to offer a full service restaurant. We mostly use the pool, we attend water aerobics twice a week and love the instructions Dawn and Angelina. The indoor pool is heated, there's lap swimming and free swim during the week. The pool provides flotation devices, toys, towels, swim caps, and goggles if needed. They've really made it easy for people to access the pool. At least once a week there is also a women's only swim- honestly something for everyone. We haven't used the hydrotherapy pool but it looks really cool. There is a co-ed locker room with bathrooms and changing rooms. The workout center upstairs has a lot of equipment and weights- whatever you're looking for they most likely have it. There's also classes upstairs throughout the week (think yoga, strength training, soon to be Zumba). There is also a separate locker room upstairs that is divided for men and women. On the main floor is where you will find the childcare center, entrance to Soul Bowl and art that's been done my local artist. The front desk staff are friendly and always seem to remember your name which makes you feel like you're part of something. I know that they are looking to start phase two next year and we are eagerly awaiting the groundbreaking. If you're looking for a local spot to hangout and get in some exercise check this place out. Granted the "classes" are about 3-4 kids average but the classes are all at the same time as everyone else and in a small section of the lane. This is not conducive to learning for the other pitfall, the overstimulation and inability to accommodate children with special needs. Trying to learn to swim in a loud, busy and crowded pool is daunting. No dig at the staff, they are doing the best they can given the circumstances presented. Maybe Foss can carve out some time and space for kids with non-neurotypical or special needs.

Many of the teachers are great. Our 4 year old enjoys it and looks forward to the lessons. The draw back is it feels so crowded and cramped. The medium sized pool has 8 sections going simultaneously. It is loud. The locker rooms are so tiny and crowded. Not much privacy. The parking lot is crowded, too.

The layout seemed a little simple to me, but my kids didn't seem deterred in the least. They rode the water slides, played in the splash pad, and jumped off the diving board - and liked it all. We stayed for two hours and left because the place was closing - though I bet the kids would have been happy staying longer. We'll very likely be back it was a positive experience.
