They also have all of the Anne ties you might need such as showers, swim suit swimmers and plenty changing rooms. The one thing I don't love is that they advertise a 30 minute lesson but they don't usually start my daughter's class until about 5-6 min after the start of the hour but and exactly at 30 past the hour. Also, they have between 1-4 kids per plane, so that also limits how much swimming time they actually get. I wish there was more consistency.

Come early if you want a foldable chair for sun bathing, the place fills up very quick, but there's always usually some room in the back grassy area for you to lay down a towel and cozy up with a good book. If you get hungry, run to the snack bar and they've got multiple options for hot dog toppings and even a meal deal with chips and a drink! I want a fairly cheap entry fee and lots of seating and a decent sized pool. That's all. Highland has this, and more! Parking, shade, a decent bathroom and concessions. You can bring your own food in. Plenty of space for the little ones to play in the two small pools/splash pads. A good diving board for the bigger kids. (The drop slides aren't really drop slides per se, and they are best for shorter kids) A big water slide...that's truly only ok but who cares. A HUGE POOL. With a HUGE DEEP END. No lifejackets in the deep end, and still a large area where your tweens+ can easily touch. Bring a pool friendly throwing item. (no nerf, just light weight stuff that won't hurt if you get bonked. The lifeguards will tell you)

The Y has not recovered from Covid. I finally gave up on asking for machines in working order,…read moreusable software and if I have a problem, it should be resolved without too much effort. On a recent Saturday I realized the Southdale Y had not recovered from Covid, it was time to end a 20+ year relationship Of the treadmills, 2 were of 20 were tagged as needed repairs and two others should have been out. The software change from last summer is missing functionality that had been there prior, not kinks functionality, it just doesn't work Multiple request for assistance get different answers, I think my count was at 4 when I realized this was not worth it. Talk to a trainer, talk to the help desk, not our problem, send an email to this address. I found it was time of a change and the Southdale Y didn't seem willing to. Not worth the cost, spend more for Lifetime or less at the multiple alternatives.
