I felt as if I had no control over my own body when it came to food. Keith Ivey explained his virtual Lapband program to me, explaining that he felt he could help someone with my issues regain control over my health, size and diet. The idea of virtual surgery sounded a bit better than real surgery, but honest "pretending I was having surgery" didn't sound fun either. Yet I have tried talking to doctors, dieting, and even starving myself at times to try to control my weight. The issue became more urgent when I realized how prevalent diabetes is in my family. I wasn't sure how well hypnotherapy would work on me, but I had nothing to lose and lots to gain. After my first session I found myself effortlessly eating less food, less often. I can still have cravings but am satisfied so much easier. It's been about two months since my first session and I have yet to eat to the point of pain from over eating, which used to be a regular thing for me. Even better I stop eating most my meals as soon as I no longer feel hungry. I have learned I can make a conscious choice to eat more on occasion, but that it's a choice and I no longer have to be controlled by childhood fears that no longer apply to my life. I have lost some weight but that isn't nearly as important to be as becoming someone who doesn't panic eat, or panic binge. The days of eating a box of cookies, or large bag of chips are over. I highly recommend choosing Keith Ivey if you would like to gain more control over your own life.

Last summer, it looked like I had an opportunity to sing with my daughter at an Open Mic. I wanted to do it with my whole heart, but I was afraid of choking up (again). It was time to address the issue. Keith is a wonderfully empathetic and skilled hypnotherapist. My time with him released a lot of burdens, not just the ones that were giving me difficulty with this issue. I felt lighter and freer, and it had an immediate impact on my singing. It was easy to talk with her and I sought her advice about an ongoing problem I experienced with a particular midwife.
