I'm especially directing this review towards the hospice team that came into my patents's home to provide hands on care. We were very fortunate to have Alyssa, Trey, and La Sarita help us out. They were excellent communicators and very caring and competent. They exhibited great teamwork. They addressed our questions without making us feel like we were wasting their time. An additional note. After my Dad passed, just 13 days after entering hospice, my Mom did not want to sleep in her bedroom alone. Gracious Care Hospice made arrangements so we could keep my Dad's rented hospital bed so I could sleep next to her and hold her hand as she grieved the loss of her husband of 68 years. That act was outside of the hospice routine, but was a key to helping my Mom pass peacefully, 17 days later. Thank you, Gracious Care Hospice.

Due to protests which shut down the Burnside Bridge, all the traffic was slowed way down - so I was late due to circumstances outside my control. I had to spend 30 more dollars - after not being see by a doctor for a frightening medical issue - to get home. I contacted OHSU "Patient Advocacy" which ultimately resulted in the office manager of Gabriel Park or some bro in that capacity calling me back. Basically he told me it was my fault (for not being emperor of the traffic?) and tried to pacify me by validating my feelings. Thanks but no thanks - I just want my money and my time back. And maybe for a doctor to give a shit about my health.

It also doesn't hurt that her favorite physician, Dr. Sterner, is at this location, which means there was no chance she was going to go anywhere else. Sellwood Medical is a fantastic, friendly pediatric clinic staffed by helpful and caring doctors, nurses and technicians, regardless of location. My wife and I won't take our two baby boys anywhere else! Easy scheduling, helpful reminders (email & text), comprehensive care, and doctors that actually seem to care, remember names, and offer sincere, educated advice. Very recommended, especially for new parents looking for a life-long pediatric clinic.

Close to my home and I need an Internal General Medicine Primary Care Dr. So I called them (since new patients cannot schedule on line) and after long hold of twelve minutes the woman said I'll need to call my insurance and confirm their Clinic is covered. She said she would text me their tax id to provide my insurance. Two hours later - no text. So I called back - 20 minutes of hold and then finally I got the Tax Id. Called insurance and all good -they are covered. Called Sellwood back and after about ten minutes of hold I asked to schedule as new patient at Nimbus for primary care Dr. She said they don't have Drs at the Nimbus location. Just one day a week, two RNs. I asked if they will be getting Drs at this location and she didn't know. I asked what would an RN do if my issue is that my cholesterol meds are giving me queasy stomach. She said RN would (probably) refer me to a third party GI. Ok- hmmm. So I asked: if I schedule with one of the two RN choices when is the first opening? She said I don't know until I complete all of your info into our system. I said ok - let's do it. She said I have a patient at my desk - please hold. I held and held and then hung up. (My husband came home asked why I was looking crabby and I just said Don't Ask). Truly I was so happy about this new clinic opening and when I called the first time I asked if accepting new patients and she said yes. Never said a word about no Dr's at location I was I inquiring about. It felt like she was playing with me - putting me through an obstacle course until I finally gave in. Which I did.

When I toured I witnessed the director ignoring residents and being oblivious to the loud, cold and chaotic atmosphere. The two large common rooms are under furnished and sparse in warmth and decor. The large TV on one wall was turned up so loud that we had to try and talk over it and again, the director Eugene, was oblivious. I watched the director Eugene ignore a resident complaint and turn away from him in a dismissive manner without care or concern or a plan of action. I saw a resident holding onto a wall rail in need of a Walker because it was too painful to walk unassisted and there was no staff available to help her. The environment was chaotic and felt dangerous and neglectful. I ended my tour abruptly and will be filing a formal complaint with the state. It is clear this company operates for profit with no knowledge of how to run a safe and effective Memory Care facility. Horrible. facility!!!

When I first drove up, patients were coming and going as they wish…read moreand smoking in the parking lot, leaving their cigarette butts on the ground. i was going to meet our father there, but arrived earlier. When I went in, worker after worker just walked right on be me. I ended up going to the nurse's station and they just said he hadn't arrived yet and I could wait in the lobby. No welcome or offer to show me around. After over an hour he hadn't arrived so I went back in with his stuff. They just told me his room number without showing me where I could put his stuff, so had to go back and ask. Care was terrible. Our dad said it would take them over 30 minutes to come in for help to the bathroom or anything else and would just watch him struggle to get out of bed without helping. They basically left him in bed, including to eat. He finally asked if they could help him get out of bed in the morning so he just wasn't laying there all day. Only one option for meals, which he mostly did not like. He lost over 15 pounds in 2 weeks, and left very weak, which lasted several days after discharge. He was in the hospital for one week prior, but was eating regular meals. I brought him a toothbrush, but he never once brushed his teeth. Hygiene needs were not tended to. Therapy was supposed to be everyday, 5 days a week, but lucky to get one session every other day. Their answer for his bathroom needs was to put depends on him. When he was discharged he was to have a home health nurse to go over 3 times a week. It turns out the home health agency Sapphire sent the orders was at capacity so they let Sapphire know. It's now been 1 week, with no home nurse. Nobody from Sapphire has notified us and do not return our phone calls. They seem to be there to provide the bare minimum of care.

Transactional, stories/excuses not accountable nor integrity based with no regard for well being or psychological aspects of the patient. A couple caring, but overall rudeness and bullies that neglect via ignoring, minimum 30 minute to 45 response times would call me crying. No dignity or reverence provided diminishing and falsely profiling patients/family. Despite concerns for overmedication potentially harming cognitive and kidneys, causing weakness/dizziness,, added more including narcan and 3000 mg daily, ordered equipment delivered to room at 9pm after medicated asking 95 yr old with cognitive to sign. Use upholstered chair for storage and closets wadded up clothing saturated in urine 2 weeks because only PT can take them to potty necessitating urinating in bed with long wait times causing bed sores to never heal. Got backache and developed congestive cough while PT on week vacation without substitute felt neglected. Don't address inflammation through basic icing even after provided cryo and voltarin ourselves had to remind, not following surgeons orders, bypass primary care/cariologist specialists, not getting patients out of bed through strength building early on prolonging rehabilitation then blaming patient. Their ratings are from Medicare whom give frequent cutoff notices that add to stress loads of families. Only one shower/shampoo in 2 months and no modesty draping with two men changing mother. HVAC inadequate and rooms uncomfortably hot even for visits, miss important doctors appts, food not heart healthy nutritious, and poor quality causing 25lb wt loss to 124lbs, Belongings, Flowers Food out of view/reach,. one actual "care" meeting in over 2 months stay (used for attempt signing off rights hearing aids later lost one between facility/hospital refused 1/2 cost i/e 150 for 7g aids) or 2nd medicare notice only limited 20min vs. care, poor record keeping and never provided when requested. I could go on, but you get the picture. sigh. Care in this country is a broken bureaucracy.
