This stadium offers fans many food and beverage options, relaxing areas to soak up the sun while watching the game, activities for kids of all ages, perfect views of the field from any seat, and friendly, helpful employees. The views of the bay from the stadium are stunning. We sat in the front row of the left-field bleacher seats, and our view of the game was incredible. We felt so close to the field and players that it seemed as if we were on the field ourselves. Tip: If you plan to sit in the outfield bleacher seats, note that they offer no back support. Stadium seats are not allowed in this stadium, but seat cushions are OK. My wife recently had knee surgery, so climbing stairs to our seats was a challenge. I spokento usher Jessica, who was assigned to the very top of the left-field bleachers. Jessica was understanding and let us sit in unused seats with back support at the very top of our section for the entire game. This was arranged with the understanding that if the seat's ticket holders arrived, we would move back to our original seats. Fortunately, no one claimed these seats, so we were able to stay there the whole time. Ushers like Jessica deserve praise for their professionalism, kindness, and genuine effort to give guests like my family and me a truly wonderful, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Thank you!

The acoustics for the concert were great, but compared to other concerts I've been to in other arenas, it definitely could've been better. Overall, the food is okay, although it's VERY greasy; greasy to the point to where no matter how much I cleaned the camera lens, all the pictures and videos came out blurry.

"Kezar Stadium" is usually not brought up in conversations these days considering this place isn't frequented as much as previous decades. Located at the southeastern corner of Golden Gate Park off of Lincoln Way and Stanyan St., this historic multi-purpose stadium that is used for has been in operation ever since breaking ground way back in 1925. Since it was a little early for dinner, I came here on a whim during the afternoon of Friday 11/29/2024 at around 5:00pm. I parked nearby on Lincoln Way but there is a dedicated lot that is adjacent to the main entrance. Much to my surprise, this entire stadium is open to the public while the standard stadium hours are from 6:30am-10pm. What I particularly liked is how clean the grounds are here with an excellent running/jogging track, well-manicured natural grass on the field, a fully functional scoreboard w/public restrooms, and a respectable amount of seating on both sides of the field. From its long history, this stadium once seated up to 60,000 fans from 1925 until 1989; most notably the San Francisco 49ers that used it from 1946 to 1970. There has also been numerous collegiate games held here as well as track & field, rugby, lacrosse, soccer, and much more. The previous stadium was demolished in 1989 and downsized and rebuilt to its current setup that only seats a fraction of what it once seated at around 10,000 fans. These days, the stadium still holds graduation ceremonies, soccer matches, and various high school football games. All in all, "Kezar Stadium" is a piece of San Francisco history as it is located in a much quieter part of the city and away from all the hustle and bustle. All in all, I encourage everyone to check this place out if you haven't already. The grounds are kept very clean while the entire layout (even though this is a very densely populated city) to be spacious and open. My rating, an above average four stars.

Jones led the basketball teams to back-to-back championships in 1955 and 1956. Those glory days are long gone and it's now a different world with collegiate amateur sports is now a multi-million dollar industry. However, it's still nice to see local kids play the sport they love just purely for the fun and joy of it. Especially women's soccer. Ever since the U.S. Women's National Soccer team won their first World Cup in 1991. And who can forget the iconic picture of Brandi Chastain removing her shirt after making that penalty kick to clinch it in 1999? Ever since then, the game of soccer has exploded, particularly with girls' soccer. Lots of soccer moms driving their kids to practice and games in their minivans was a common scene in the suburbs. Nowadays, the minivan has been replaced by an S.U.V., but the same scene is playing out. Negoesco Stadium is the USF Dons' playing field, or should I say pitch? Named after their legendary coach Steve Negoesco. Home of both the men's and women's soccer teams, it's also utilized by USF students for numerous activities and even a local semi-pro soccer team. Renovated in 2000 to expand the sitting capacity to 3,000. The pitch also received an upgrade of the astro turf in 2016. It only cost $10 to watch a soccer game and you get a free mug, which has been pretty handy. There's also a community feel watching the games, and they are entertaining. I have to disclose that my niece is a starting Defender for the soccer team so that's my incentive, but whether you know someone on the team is irrelevant since the games played are highly-skilled, fun and competitive. What more could you ask for? Oh, and Karl the Fog is a frequent visitor here so better dress appropriately. #YelpChallenge2020 review No. 8

Opened in 1941, the Cow Palace has hosted everything from livestock shows and rodeos to political conventions, legendary concerts, and major sporting events. The Beatles played here. The Warriors once called it home. It is one of those venues that just feels historic the moment you walk in. Came here recently for the Guy Fieri Super Bowl Tailgate and it was awesome. The event staff were very organized and things ran smoothly, which is impressive given the size of the crowd. Plenty of space, easy flow, and great energy throughout. Such a classic big Bay Area venue. Old school in the best way. Always a fun experience coming back here.

Purchasing merch wasn't too bad, there was a trailer towards the back of the line and it was super quick. The staff were really nice in letting me hold the merch to see how sizing was. We got here at around door opening time, and it took us probably about an hour to actually snake around and make it to the front. Along the way, there were a lot of people breaking down the gates to cut people AND us. Other people also took the opportunity to just push through when someone even opened the gates a bit to adjust it...it was actually really aggressive and rude behavior from ravers. At the front, other ravers were also just bolting from the snaking line to the entrance. The whole time we were in line, I was seriously concerned for fights breaking out or a crowd crush because of course everyone was drunk or on drugs, and just pushing and cutting. Seems like the experience I had might have been more tame than ISOxo that just happened a few months before. Once we got in, if you wanted to be on the floor level, you had to get a wristband. Messaging was confusing because I thought floor level wristbands were running low. Even here, ravers were trying to cut. It was so obnoxious. Staff seemed to not care or had no way of controlling them. Lines to the bathroom were long, but moved fairly fast. We were trying to be strategic about the time we went to the bathroom during the early acts versus the main act (Gryffin). Because it was so crowded, we didn't really have an opportunity to get food. Once you're in the floor level, there's opportunities to buy alcohol. When we tried to get to the floor level, there were maybe 4-5 security people checking wristbands, but people were hopping over walls and such, so they couldn't really enforce people having wristbands. If you leave the floor to go to the bathroom, you can't easily walk back inside, so you had to endure going through the security screening for wristbands again. Despite security not being able to enforce wristbands, thankfully the floor was not completely full. Something that I noticed on the floor was that all the people who were tall or had large fans obscuring the view for people behind them, were located towards the center line, so it was way better to be left or right of center. If you go towards the back, there's also way more space to stand and breathe, as well as get a better view. The lights were amazing, sound was very good and loud, and the production was fantastic by Gryffin. Leaving for us was fairly easy, since we booked it once the set was over. They had clear markings for exiting the parking lot. Unfortunately parking was ~$30-40. There wasn't really anyone to organize people when we entered, people just kinda zoomed in/cutting as well. Overall, Gryffin had a great set but this venue is pretty bad as social media portrays it. To be honest, it's probably more of the crowds. Not sure if I'd really want to see any acts here in the future.

Vendors and surrounding businesses appreciate the economic benefit of shows, though local residents don't like the congestion, crowd, noise, trash, and limited park access. Some notable performances: 1. Human Be-In (1967), which helped launch Summer of Love, with Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead 2. Tibetan Freedom Concert (1996) w/ Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Björk, Foo Fighters. 3. It was so much fun watching the game with other fans. Almost everyone was wearing some Warriors gears. We're all cheering when the Warriors took over OKC briefly at one point. Such a great atmosphere. There're also some short games, performances, parachute/t-shirt giveaways. Never a dull moment. On the other hand, I was disappointed that Steve Curry was injured and we didn't have a chance to see him play. Warriors lost the game, but it was still a great experience for me. So much better than watching the game on TV. Go Warriors!

It's within walking distance to J-town which is really nice in terms of getting food before a show…read more(most things are not late night in SF, so this is the play since after a show, most things will already be closed) and it is possible to find free parking if you have eyes that search and see. My boyfriend and I came here to see TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (real anime heads know - Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. or if you're a fan of math rock). We got the GA tickets and waited in the line for the venue around 40 minutes before the show. We were still in the first 100 or so people in, we were in the line when it curved the corner near the other shopping plaza near the bus stop, so it wasn't too fisted when we went. This was absolutely not the case for the LA show, so the vibes in NorCal versus SoCal are completely different. Staff was welcoming (as best they could) and efficient in checking us in and security was friendly in what they had to do. Much better than some of the other venues I've been to. You have to go upstairs to get to the live house concert stage area. It looks very high end with the lighting, curtains, balcony area, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It's not as grandiose as say the Mayan (RIP), but nice nonetheless. We were probably 3-4 layers of people from the front, but was able to see all of the band members quite well and I was accidentally in the band's Instagram post (with my very funny and cooked back posture). Sound quality was great and really highlighted not only TK's vocals, but the technicality and skill he has on guitar (dude had to swap guitars between each song), as well as all of the support members (their support drummer from Crossfaith has such good stage presence). Nothing sounded too drowned out or overpowering. Good acoustics. The merch table was at the side and I didn't pay too much mind to where the bar was. When walking up stairs I was wondering where to go and loudly asked that question and a kind staff working the coat check in the opposite direction pointed to where to go. I think my only qualm though is the stairs that everyone has to take up, and more importantly down since it gets super crowded. However, they do have an accessible elevator for those who may require it or are ADA. What I love about this venue is the apples they give attendees. Great post concert snack. Sweet and crispy apple. I really love that they do this. And apparently this was the only tour stop that had a free poster with the artist playing too. Love that extra goodie for concert goers since I didn't purchase any merchandise. If there's a band or musician that I know is going to go to the Fillmore, I'm going to try to make the show since I really enjoyed it here!

1 Star - Awful Manager and Staff Experience…read more We attended the Alex Isley concert at The Fillmore and brought our 8-year-old daughter. It was her very first concert, and she absolutely loves Alex Isley. The venue was standing room only, but we found a small corner near the front where we weren't blocking anyone's view. Early in the evening, one female staff member seemed to have an issue with us, although every other staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. At one point, I asked a staff member if it would be okay to put my daughter on my shoulders so she could see the stage. He told me it was absolutely fine, and several other staff members nearby clearly had no issue with it. Later, the same female employee returned and began harassing my wife about our daughter being on my shoulders or standing on a bench that was not obstructing anyone's view. She made a scene unnecessarily and then escalated the situation to a manager. The manager arrived and was just as rude. Although I complied immediately because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my daughter, we felt singled out and bullied throughout the interaction. Ironically, other concertgoers immediately tried to help by offering our daughter space in front of them so she could see the performance. Even more telling, a member of Alex Isley's security team witnessed what happened, approached us afterward, and kindly arranged for my wife, daughter, and me to meet Alex after the show. That completely made our daughter's night and turned what could have been a very disappointing experience into a special memory. The kindness shown by Alex Isley's team and fellow concertgoers stood in stark contrast to the behavior of The Fillmore's manager and this particular staff member. Because of this experience, I will not return to The Fillmore and cannot recommend the venue to others. 1/5 stars.
