I had this new listing added, and I'll fix the flea part later. My couple of pictures only represent one twentieth of what's here. I could have spent two hours here. This certainly isn't a "flea" market because there is beautiful furniture in here--many in individual consignment booths; others have permanent set ups. They also conduct auctions, one regular one is the first Thursday of every month; and from time to time, they conduct specialty auctions selling jewelry and other collectibles. They have specific estate auctions too. Come check out this nicely adorned, air conditioned marketplace, where you are free to browse without being harassed or watched; however, staff is here to answer your questions.

They started attending Gene Vogt's sales in the mid 1970's and often relied upon Gene to help sell things as needed. Turning to Robb (Gene's son) for help with their estate was the natural thing to do after Mom passed away recently. With two generations of experience and knowledge, Robb and his crew knew exactly what to do, and how to do it. They've added years to Cathy's and my lives by taking what seemed to be a monumental and emotional task and helping put it all into perspective. It's absolutely a terrific and exciting place to buy, but certainly don't overlook Vogt auctions ability to help with estate liquidations when the difficult time comes. 1 Star - Items not as described, slow shipping, outrageous shipping costs, and terrible customer…read moreservice I won several lots from Vogt Auctions and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Multiple items arrived that did not match the catalog descriptions or photos. Condition issues that should have been disclosed were either downplayed or omitted entirely. When I contacted them about the discrepancies, the response was essentially "sold as-is" with no meaningful effort to resolve the problem. Shipping was a major problem. After payment, it took weeks (in some cases closer to a month or more) to get items out the door. Tracking updates were sparse or nonexistent for long stretches. The third-party shipping they use charged fees that felt completely out of line with the size and weight of the lots -- significantly higher than what other auction houses charge for comparable items. Packaging quality was also inconsistent; some pieces arrived with inadequate protection. Customer service made everything worse. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered or received delayed, unhelpful replies. Getting clear answers on shipping status, revised invoices, or condition issues required repeated follow-ups. It felt like no one was accountable once the sale was over. Overall, the combination of inaccurate descriptions, excessive and slow shipping, and poor follow-through left a very negative impression. I will not bid with them again and would advise others to factor in the real post-sale costs and risks before participating.

It started out with a phone call by me to him to see if he could come by the property to decide if an estate sale was even feasible. Look, let's be real, when a parent is less than discerning about what they are randomly dumping at Goodwill and you have no say in what is being given away, when the time comes, you will wonder if what's left is all just a quick garage sale so you can move on to other pressing matters regarding that parent's life. Mark came and saw a lot of treasure (much to my surprise)! He quickly scheduled one month of toiling thru box after box, closet after closet, room after room and did an incredible amount of research on family items that were REALLY worth quite a bit. He scheduled THREE FULL weekends of estate sales, all perfectly executed, even thru some unexpected cold days. He's been doing this along time. He know his stuff and yours. But what's really special about him and his team is their listening skills. I was (and TMI, still am) extremely appreciative of the afternoons we spent combing thru the house talking about pieces and their history and his shoulder and ear to vent a bit (ok a lot) when the family drama was overwhelming. He's not fancy. But he's GOOOD. And I will take GOOOD over fancy anytime there's money involved. He'll tear down a house filled with tchotchke and spend his nights playing mental Tetris to get it all in the best possible order to make you the most money. AND HE WILL. Don't let some of those negative reviews work against him. Those are buyers who are put out because he cares about the number of people in one house at a time. I mean think about it.. how many people DO you want traipsing through your parent's house without supervision? He IS militant about the number of people shopping in a house at one time and that is important when you have valuables and or high break items. He is guarding your merchandise to make you money folks, don't get it twisted! Because of the number of items in the house, I think start to finish took a little less that two months. His clean up, collection and donation routine was really fast and complete. There were only a few pieces left that were decided early on would remain for house staging if not purchased. It was a a very good experience considering the circumstances that these contracts occur under. Mark and Javier and their team were nothing but friendly and professional and I will readily recommend them and their services to any friends who will need their services in the future.
