I love me some Wards and have Been eating it for years. The Wards in Pelahatchie is BY FAR the worst one I've ever eaten at. Took them 5-6 minutes to even ask me what I wanted at the drive thru and I was the only one in line. I always get the big one with chili n cheese combo. It's my go to. Fries cold, burger not much over room temp. Maybe had 2 tablespoons of temped chili if it. Hamburger Meat was overcooked, almost crunchy it was so over cooked. This was the worst of the 4-5 times of eating there and sadly will be my last. They just don't seem to care. Most people I know are like me. They love Wards but have stopped going to this location. It could be booming with business but there's hardly ever a real one in the drive thru thanks to all I mentioned above. You want a good awards burger? Go to Carthage or to either of the ones on Highway 49 between Florence and Hattiesburg. The one just as you get into Hattiesburg never lets me down. read more

I'm from south Mississippi but live in East Tennessee now. I order 10 chilli cheese dogs & 10 Big Ones whenever I go home & freeze them. I like a greasy ass hamburger or dog every now & then. I have always been intrigued by Wards. I see them all over south MS and have never stopped in. They boast of their homemade root beer in all of their advertising. Well, I decided to take the lunch and stop by. Nothing was worth it. The root beer that they boast about was super sweet and not very carbonated. No bite. The food was dry and overcooked and flavorless. The menu is not large, but nothing on it is any good. Fries were flavorless and soggy. Buns were stale. It was a disaster. Wards has a great breakfast! The holdback is people working have not been trained properly. April the 8th, 2021 my experience was waiting to order. Stayed in drive thru line five minutes line never moved. So I go park the car walk in two men have the food on tray and waiting on coffee. Ten minutes go by two women trying to make coffee in pot. Never took my order. See the drive moving from kitchen lady helping so I said try drive thru again. Finally took order go to window ask for my receipt she hands me my order receipt. The Ward's in Pelahatchie, MS near where I work has changed management so many times that I can't keep count. I had stopped eating there for awhile because of the service (SLOW), but today I decided to give them another chance, which was a mistake. I wanted some hash browns with chili and cheese, like the fries are made. The new manager said she couldn't do that because she didn't have a button for that. I told her to just charge me for chili cheese fries, but she would not do that. ( No button)( so get a button or just use the fries button) And there was not enough help for the morning rush for breakfast. The manager was trying to do it all and the other employees were not happy about it. There were only 2 people in the kitchen & 1 at the counter & the manager at the window. The manager needs to manage, not run the show. There was also not any extra coffee made and one man only got a half a cup to go. Not good for customer. You need to get a better menu or make some adjustments to help your customers or you won't last long at Pelahatchie, MS. LB read more

I just ordered a chicken salad that cost 7 .99$ and that had maybe 2 ounces of chicken in and about seven dill pickles and half a cup ( maybe) of lettuce that was it and a few tomatoes. When I complained the person it said, "oh they said only put a half of a chicken breast in there. " so I guess that's half of a 3 ounce chicken patty in it!!! Really for 8 dollars? They have no salad dressing but fattening stuff ,only ranch and only honey mustard No other choice. So for $10 you drink and two ozs of chicken and five pickles and a few little tomatoes.
