The staff is so nice and they really get to know you and your pets so they're able to meet each of your pets individualized needs. They also always give great resources and education for certain things that are discussed in the appointment. Additionally, they use the pet desk app which is so helpful for making appointments, following up on your pets vaccines, lab results and medications. My late cat Deacon got sick last year and I was able to text the number on the app and they got us in the next day even though they were closed because it was an emergency. We've made a great connection with the whole team and will never switch vets because I know my cats are getting the best care here! Love to our team, The Suthars, angel baby Deacon, Grape & Ziggy!

I take my dog to Petco for grooming. He's been going there since he was a little pup and he's now…read more3. Today he had the worst experience and scare ever. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how the incident even happened because it makes no sense given the location of his injury and the set up of the grooming table. He usually gets handled by Zaida who wasn't there today. I couldn't schedule an appointment online with her because it says all slots are unavailable so I had to call in an appointment. I trust everyone who is employed there know how to handle dogs properly and carefully. Well I get a call maybe little less than an hour after dropping him off. All that was said to me at first was there was an incident with Tyson and they are taking him to the pet clinic, Pet Doctor 911 in mcallen. I asked what happened and the employee who called me said she doesn't know. I had to literally raise my voice and demand to speak with someone else just to get an answer. You can't call someone and tell them oh we have to take you dog to the hospital but I don't know why. So finally I was told he had a cut on his paw that he got from the grooming table tether. They told me he was being put up on the table when his paw got caught in the neck tether and he got spooked and tried to jump off resulting in the tether slicing his dewclaw. I'm still confused as to how his paw would even get caught in that tether to begin with. And from the position and location of the injury it does not seem possible to me. They took him to a clinic that we've never visited ( he sees the doctors at Banfield pet Hospital since his insurance is through them). This place would not let me enter with him for the consultation with the doctor. I had to wait there in my car until they were done. Was not given a time frames. Their policy stated if you leave the vicinity they would charge you $45 fee on top of your vet bill. Worst experience for me and my pet. He had already been hurt somewhere and now he has to go into an unknown place alone. No one from petco offered an apology nor called to check on the status of my pet after the incident. I'm not even sure if they paid the clinic because once my pet was released, the technician asked me to contact the groomers which I had did an hour earlier after talking on the phone with the veterinarian. I asked if I needed to stay until they received payment but they clinic assured me they would get in contact with Petco to resolve the bill.

I just prefer not to have to smooth things over upon each visit, but given the drive of each individual, some more ambitious to charge extra than others, I think if they come together and form stronger leadership they will flourish as a business. Again, polite, kind, and caring. If you add consistency to this dynamic, you'll have a perfect place where you can feel 100 percent happy to leave your family (fur-baby) under their care. I'd give them a 5 if communication was clear, but it was almost going to leave a score of 3, if the young lady wasn't always there to keep my billing consistent and fix the miscommunications. They have a great location, clean facility, cute ideas, just need to be consistent and keep up with competitive pricing. But the surgery went okay... they didn't mention what is normal following the surgery, so I had to consult with someone about some blood in her stools... but it was okay. Fast forward to calling today to get her shots updated... first of all, the McAllen clinic often doesn't answer their phones... San Antonio does. I called at 4:30pm to see if I could get her seen by 5 for her shots. The person on the phone told me to go as a walk-in, and I could still be seen. I knock on the door at about 4:45pm. The staff was on the phone, so we had to wait a few minutes. A male staff answered and said that I had to "go around back" for the service. There was a "members only" line and a separate one for non-members, nothing clearly marked. A female staff member rudely says, "You're not waiting in line, are you?" When I said, "Yes," she said that they stopped taking walk-ins at 4:50pm. I hate being that last minute person... really, I do, but I would have understood if: 1) the person who answered the phone relayed this, or, 2) if the person who answered their office door had mentioned this. All in all, they were disorganized, rude, and they did not honor their walk-in hours posted. If you just want cheap and don't care about customer service, I guess this would be okay. Personally, I won't be back.

my dog had a blood blister on left eye lower eyelid since August of 2022, took to his regular vet…read more6 different times and the last three visits back to back in December 2023, antibiotics were given but never healed and continue to worsen to the point that he scratched his cornea and developed an eye ulcer, exausted emotionally and needles to say financially decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Cerelli, without much explanation, immediately diagnosed my dog with upper rear abscess tooth very near the eye, I got emotional because finally my dog's condition made sense and could now address the issue after seeing him suffer for almost 2 years, since, my dog was place in antibiotics and dental procedure was done. it has been 4 days since the procedure and my dog is recovering very well and becoming himself again. Dr. Cerelli specializes in other medical procedures that other vets in our area do not, I also observed how he is is kind and nurturing to animals he is treating, not only with my pet but with other clients, he does not overbook himself allowing him to be thorough in examining and give options on treatment needed. his office has appointment fee policies that are mentioned on some negative reviews but those policies are reasonable, time is valuable and responsible individuals should be on time for such important appointment.
