We have been patients for 5 years now and I have finally had enough with this practitioner. Our dog needed prompt attention due to a fall but, they cannot see here for a month. This is outrageous. What is the point of even calling them if the dog will be dead in the time it takes to get treatment? I suspect their inability to see patients in a prompt manner, is due to their COVID protocols. Our new addition, Remington Gage (Remi), had a cough and it was time for a booster. Went to my favorite app to find the best care for our Yorkie. Valley Animal Hospital is just down the street from my house, was able to squeeze him in the very next day, offered super easy curb side service because of social distancing, the vet came out and spoke with us at length about his infection (not kennel cough, thank goodness) and other tests being run. Because it was his 1st visit, the staff that we encountered all introduced themselves and went above and beyond to make this a pleasant experience. My dog was cremated there. The female intake person was a bit snippy with me and I told her so. I so very much wish I had just kept my mouth shut. When I picked up the ashes, she had switched them with another poor pet. I know this because there was the remainder of a titanium plate among the ashes, which my dog never had and it was evident that the name sticker had been switched. I was horrified at the pure evil nature of this employee. I called but of course they denied it. read more

Starting going here as it was close to my home. Very difficult to get appointments at other Vets as the Valley is very short handed. I have taken two kittens and a puppy. Very organized and I like that they send you an email. The App will list your pets and appointments. Dr. Harris was very knowledgeable and nice. He understood that these kittens and puppy were rescued and I was limited on money. They did what was needed to be done. I will definitely take the rest of my pets to this Vet. read more

I do not like to have to stay in the car while my pup is taken in. We were sent an appointment time for Heart worm test, we were under the impression this was to give his heart worm prevention, but no, it was 3 weeks early for the shot and they would make me another appointment for the shot, and charge me another office visit charge. Dr Macmanus was so good to my scared cat. He took the time to try to decrease my cat's fear even though it was pretty clear my kitty was planning to make the visit very unpleasant for us all. The Dr's plan did help though we still have a way to go to get my cat truly behaving like a gentleman. I also really appreciated that Dr Macmanus really took time to explain things to us. My dog was really sick couldn't keep food or water down. We are winter Texans and I called around to see if I could find someone who could get him in same day. This was only place that said they would look at him, after a couple of shots and some pills for the next few days he is already doing better. They not only take care of pets they also care about them and their owners. read more

We are new to the area, with an older dog. Our initial impressions were good, but soon faded as we discovered that we were charged about double the normal pharmacy price for some medications. We asked them to simply write a prescription instead, and they did, but then charged us an additional fee for writing it. We consider that rather unacceptable, by many standards, and are looking for a new vet; one with more concern for old dogs and old folks of limited means. We have never seen this practice elsewhere. I came in today. My usual animal hospital doesn't have a guinea pig doctor that works every day, so they scheduled me for two days from now. Except, guinea pigs can get serious complications pretty quickly, so I worried like crazy and continued to look for another doctor that could see my little one sooner. Luckily, this place was able to give me a same day appointment, within a few hours from when I called. I was amazed and truly thankful. The doctor said that, sure enough, bringing in my little guy as soon as possible was the best decision I could have made and treatment should be more effective because of it. Service was impeccable, and I loved how both my pet and I were treated with great attention and a high level of care. The staff's diplomas line the waiting area and they truly seem extremely knowledgeable. I will probably switch over to this place and become a regular, for check ups, emergencies, and such. Oh, and the prices were also very reasonable. The bill for his check up (priced under "exotic animals"), his diagnostic drops, and his medicine was under $100. Update: I took him back for a check up a week later. They gave me a courtesy call a little while after that (one or two weeks) to check up on him. It truly showed that they cared. Update: Their exotic animals doctor wasn't working this past Sat (don't know if that's a regular thing), and they were completely booked and unable to take walk-ins; however, they were awesome and referred me to a place that could. They hands-down deserve to keep their 5 stars for their selflessness, despite the couple bumps on the road. They really do care about their customers and their pets. read more

Thank goodness I only use them as a crematorium where the acuity ( and the pet) has already passed. Imagine having an emergency only to discover the phone is busy all day long. When someone finally does answer, be prepared to deal with someone with virtually no knowledge of animal health. The only thing some receptionists know to advise is "make an appointment"! Very frustrating indeed! As a crematorium, the prices are fair although the wait for the return of ashes can be a bit lengthy, but again, the pet isn't going anywhere. For that I give a 3.5. I was displeased and irritated with this office. My regular vet was closed for the holiday. So this vet was highly recommended by yelp. However they will not be getting one by me! When I called they were willing to give me a 10:30 appointment but when I explained my little puppy's situation the clerk said to hold , "so she could go speak to someone" when she come back to speak to me the appointment was off the table and told me to take my pup back to the emergency facility that I took him over the weekend. Know I ask you, Where is your love for animals? When you become a veterinarian or choose to work for one you take hard or easy cases for the love of your calling and the love for animals. Today your office personnel showed me that it's not about our pets well being. Pets that have become like family but a financial gain for office.
