Amazing selection for local snacks, gifts, and goodies in the golden gate recreation area. Stop in for a coffee or hot chocolate (rich but delicious and reasonably priced!). There are amazing views of the bay and the city if you get a clear day when the fog has burned off. Walk out to the pier and see what local fisherman are catching. Or stroll further to see wonderful angles of the bridge.

Cute store in a very industrial area along the water. Clean inside, helpful sweet ladies working the floor and register. Very cute and fun San Franscico based trinkets to purchase. Bought a Golden Gate Bridge tape dispenser!!!

Adorable little shop and coffee shop!

This was my first time ever seeing this little retail store and we usually go to the other side of Chrissy Field beach with our puppies since they can run off leash there. This particular day we walked more onto the left side down 1.5 miles of the beach and found this quite little Pierre with this particular retail store on it. Inside they had a coffee shop with a local vendor and hot chocolate and a quaint little reading nook area with a bunch of retail things anybody would need. I loved all the San Francisco local items. One could buy as little tchotchkes for memorabilia of the San Francisco/Golden Gate Bridge area. We were also able to walk out on the pier and see some people fishing and crabbing. Such a cute little area I loved it!!

Came here on an incredibly cold and windy afternoon (normal in the city) and my boyfriend and I were in dire need of hot coffees. I was so surprised that there was a little coffee/souvenir shop just past Chrissy fields and so we stopped in for some warmth. We were just about to order coffees when we noticed the "Chrissy Mocha" on the menu and thought we'd give it a try. I haven't stopped thinking about this drink since we got them!! Service was great, the cashier was so friendly and popped a few jokes with us. Our drinks were made in under a minute, they waste no time! The Chrissy Mocha is 1/2 hot chocolate and 1/2 mocha, very creamy and chocolatey - the whipped cream gives it the richness and creamy flavor - must get!! We also picked up a few souvenirs that were very cute, the shop is a cute little stop on the way to seeing the golden gate viewpoint. Highly recommend giving this store a peek if you're able to! We'll be back soon!

Despite my coffee being cleared by mistake while we were taking a photo, the staff immediately apologized and offered two free replacements. Wonderful service recovery!

Tuesday, 13 December 2022 -- Gift Shop called Warming Hut, right under the Golden Gate Bridge

PHOTOS attached! I visited this store on an early afternoon on Tuesday, 13 December 2022 after taking photos at the Golden Gate Bridge. This is a cute gift shop right outside the lower section of the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Point National Historic Site. ITEMS TO BUY (inventory) -- The store has plenty of gift items to choose from and general products such as books, local west coast sweets, snacks (chips, chocolate), fridge magnets, t-shirts, etc. SERVICE -- Service was friendly. My friend and I were immediately greeted by 2 of the female store associates who reminded us that San Francisco gets hot in the summer after we complained of how cold it was that day (haha). The temperature was in the high 40's or low 50's and the fact that the store is literally right next to the ocean didn't help (LOL) but I digress. I was about to purchase something small but my Lyft driver arrived but I had a good experience in here nonetheless. I recommend visiting this store because why not? If you are already in the area then come on down. If you don't want to buy anything then at least warm up inside the store from the cold and wind outside; hence the store name, "Warming Hut" (hehe). **** - 3/150 total reviews in 2023 - 554 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 5 January 2023

The Warming Hut Park Store serves as a gift store and a simple tea shop to visitors like hikers, bikers, walkers, runners, and those enjoy the scenic views and bay breeze. They sell park books, prints, toys, apparel, and unique items for people of all ages.

I was in the area trying to get a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge when I came across this gift shop. It felt good being inside since it was warm compared to the chilly weather outside. I saw a sign that they serve hot drinks but it looked like the cafe was closed. I did come a half an hour before closing so maybe they were already sold out for the day. The gift shop still had a bunch of refrigerated drinks and plenty of snacks. They had one small table and a couple of chairs inside near the entrance. There were lots of books and souvenirs. I was surprised to see that they sold bottled honey and jars of jam, apple butter and sweet & spicy mustard. They didn't have restrooms inside the gift shop but they were located outside next door.

Food: 3/5 Service/Wait: 5/5 Price/Value: 5/5 Atmosphere/Uniqueness: 4/5 This place is located near the Golden Gate Bridge by Fort Point. This is a gift shop with some snacks, sandwiches and drinks. I got a Crissy Mocha, which is coffee and hot chocolate. It tasted exactly as if you mixed 1/2 hot chocolate with 1/2 coffee. It was pretty windy and cold at the foot of the golden gate bridge so it was nice to have something warm to drink. The price was very reasonable, especially for SF. The drink was $3.50. Purchasing something from here supports local parks.

Location, location, location! Look, this is a National Park location and not a gourmet coffee shop! So if you are a coffee snub like I am, get your coffee elsewhere before you come walking around here; However, if you are there and need a hot drink to battle the chilly breeze coming off the Bay, the hot coffee drinks or chocolate that they serve here can come to your rescue as there are no other options available within walking distance. Also, you can purchase a souvenir or two if you need to get something for someone back home, the shop offers many options. They also sell National Park passes, so if you are going on a trip and need to purchase a pass in the last minute, there you have it!

Well, ok, this place isnt close to Union Sq, about a mile away, but it was a perfect delicious end destination for a post dinner stroll! I like bookstores and I like eclectic, unique ones. I'll go to Barnes & Noble if I had no other choice, but my favorite bookstores are independent ones and ones where they carry very unique books you can't find elsewhere. This bookstore made my inner little nerdy self so happy. I immediately got lost up front looking at very recent publication by Ai Weiwei. I then wandered onto the main floor and found an entire section of Asian works, which you will not find at B&N. I also found books from Norwegian writers too which I had never seen before, which thrilled me. I then made my way up to their attic floor which is dedicated to poetry and seems I just missed Allen Ginsberg's Howl centennial celebration. Ugh! I then came back down and then proceeded to their basement section and again I was quite pleasantly surprised by the depth and breadth of Asian themed books they had. They had plenty of the Chinese classics in English and found so many different versions of Journey to the West, I was completely overwhelmed. And then, saw an entire section on Africa and I had to fight hard to not pick up a copy of a book titled Prison Letters, which is a collection of Mandela's letters while imprisoned. I ultimately settled on two books by Ai Weiwei as he has continued to inspire me to be proud, to not conform, to be brave, to speak up, to be authentically and unapologetically me, to honor my ancestry and to push boundaries and to fight for what matters. And it just so happens too that my Chinese give name is also Weiwei. I loved coming to this bookstore and it will definitely be on rotation for me when I am in SF again.
