I have never in my life been treated so badly as I was treated at Warner West Pet Clinic. Karen Brink wanted to argue with me so bad about a mistake her office had made. It was a 28 dollar mistake and she wanted me to pay for it. This happened after she had already written prescriptions for my 15 year old dog with a heart condition. She took the prescriptions back from me, knowing my pup needed them to stay alive. Then she told me to get out of the office. I have spent hundreds at her clinic over the last year and she wanted me to pay for her offices mistake. She called me "CRAZY" in the waiting area in front of waiting clients. Whenever I would bring my pup to her she would shake uncontrollably but she is a chiquaqua so I thought this was normal. But when I found this new clinic across the street called 5 points companion hospital, my pup came in and was greeted with smiles and she did no shaking at all. They treated her nicely here and found several things with Bashas heart problem that had been overlooked by Warner West Clinic. So no wonder the dogs shake uncontrollably around Karen Brink something is really wrong and the dogs feel it. So happy at our new place and Basha is doing amazing now

I am so disappointed. I have a very old dog who has been under the care of Dr. Brink for several years. She recently suffered 2 bouts of Vestibular (old dog disease) causes her to have vertigo and fall down. Took her in. Dr. ready to put her down. I asked if she might recover. (YES) so took her home. Few weeks she recovered. Got anouther bout recovered. She has been taking meds for anxiety when HB starts doing M80s and Air Show. Also hips going out. Got prednisone (worked really well.) Love love love this sweet dog. Dr. cut her off of meds unless I go spend a fortune in vet bills by way of blood tests etc. (She had an exam less than 6 months ago!) I am on a limited budget so my options are let her be in pain or put her down. That's messed up.

The doctors and staff are wonderful at Warner West. Even when I forget to call days in advance, they go out of their way to help me with whatever my 3 dogs may need.

Funny enough, after leaving this very truthful review, they sent this in the mail. Delivered July 17th. HAHAHA

Super bummed to be leaving a poor review & searching for another vet. Multiple things to say here... 1. Dr. Brink is condescending as other reviews have mentioned. My first appointment with her was regarding annual shots. It turns out my pup was 2 lbs overweight, but her delivery made me feel as if I wasn't supposed to be a dog owner. She also has been 30 minutes late to every appointment I've made & just makes everyone feel like an inconvenience. 2. Victoria at the front desk. Today while waiting for my documents to come through I witnessed her on the phone with a patient rolling her eyes, flailing her arms, and grunting away from the phone as the patient was asking questions. I understand they have low availability & repeating yourself can get redundant, but perhaps it's time to hire an additional doctor and remove yourself from the environment if you hate your job that much? 3. Today I went in because my pup has a small growth on the inside of her ear. Because I assumed I would be wasting my time with an appointment, I sent pictures to see if they could give an opinion prior to spending $65 and you guessed it... "we can't diagnose over email" so I was given a piece of paper that I already had at home from doing my own research. Was not given a diagnosis and told to just monitor it... but if it grows my pup's ear will need to be partially cut off? I feel like that's concerning enough to run some tests which they failed to do. So what exactly did I just pay for?

Some type of rash on her stomach and neck, maybe from stress or maybe from the conditions

Unfortunately, before the busy holidays, my guard slipped. I went in simply to refill a prescription for our dog, who had no symptoms of illness. Before I realized it, I had agreed to $500 in testing!! I fell for their scare tactic: suggesting that something unrelated but serious might be wrong to get me to agree to additional tests. Ugh! Clear communication and informed test consent were missing. And that's disappointing Time to find a new vet!

I'm so done with this place. I had been a loyal client for 20 years until this past month. The…read moreratings here used to be really high until they were sold to a larger vet company. This seems to be the trend in the industry. Small independent vets getting purchased by the big guys. Next comes the push for profits, the needless upselling and the complete loss of confidence that the vet acts in your best interest. My dog injured himself during play time. A CCL injury (similar to an ACL in humans), the most common in dogs and cats. I brought him in and met with Veronica Botros. She never touched my dog. Just heard about the symptoms and immediately ordered a full blood panel and X-rays. Stated that surgery was probably needed and the blood panel was necessary to see if the anti-inflammatory and pain meds would be a problem on his stomach. I was also talked into a deep ear cleaning and a supposedly new two-phase vaccination. When I saw the costs for everything, I pushed back. All of a sudden, they dropped the price of the blood panel by only screening for what was needed in the first place. Total upselling garbage. My dog is suffering and they are padding the bill. I was there for three hours. I finally got a bill for $900 and was told that someone would view the X-rays and get back to me. A day later, they emailed stating his CCL was indeed torn and surgery was recommended. $4,900 estimate. My bullshit meter was in overdrive. She never touched him! We spent the next two weeks keeping the dog under limited movement and treating with the prescribed meds. He got better but was still favoring the leg. I went out and got a second opinion from my vet in Tustin that takes care of my cat. We have used him since we have some unique issues with the cat and this guy was highly recommended. When this vet saw my dog, he performed a cranial drawer test, something that AAA never performed. He said the ligament was "partially" torn and surgery was not recommended at this time. AAA recommended 6-8 weeks of 100% crate rest. Plus, another 6-8 weeks after surgery if we took that option. That would be pure torture for my little guy. The new vet says to slowly exercise with short slow walks and the same type of limited movement we have been doing. Surgery may still be needed down the road but this is a much more viable option for my family. I can no longer recommend AAA and refuse to go back there. Profits over patients.

Major problem here -- I'M TOLD AFTER THE INJECTION. I explained to the doctor (DR VARGAS) during our visit that he has major skin issues and takes medication daily for it. I even went as far to mention to her that missing one dose causes his condition to flair up. She acknowledged this during our visit so I don't understand why she would then give him an injection that hinders him from taking the medication he needs for TWO WEEKS! After being told this I'm even questioning his health considering he had the said medication, that he cannot take simultaneously with this injection, just hours before our visit. What if this medication caused a reaction that could lead to further health issues, even death. I would've been told after the fact? I shared my frustrations with the receptionist who then decided to smile and laugh at the situation. When asked why she's laughing, the reply is I don't know what you want me to do? Well, simple acknowledgment of my concern--along with reassurance that it would be communicated to the veterinarian or a manager --would have been entirely sufficient. Instead, responding with laughter was wholly inappropriate and demonstrated a lack of basic professionalism and customer service etiquette.
