We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning of this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. I brought my dog here for the first time last week for a grooming service and was disappointed with the results. When we got to the place, there was dog hair all over the floor, I chatted with the manager there and they mentioned they wipe the floor 2-3x a day so I must've come during the tail ned. The appointment which typically takes 2-3 hours ended up taking 1.5 hours. They request payment and tip before they bring you your pet. I had some feedback that I shared with the manager and they reassured me that they care deeply about the salon and grooming service so I know they're working on improvements. They were happy to take my dog back to another cleaning, but I didn't have the time. I appreciate the time and effort the manager took to call and chat about my feedback. read more

My puppy stayed for two weeks at Paw Sweet Paw, and I have to say the marketing does a better job than how the business actually operates. Prior to the stay, I was told first-timers get 1 week of free boarding. Knowing that we'd be out of the country for 2 weeks, this was perfect, on top of thinking the workers were nice. I also made sure they would be sending photo updates EVERY DAY via email and that there are cameras in the play area for us to check on him. As the front desk lady could tell, I made sure to make their lives easier, so I printed out 2 A4 sheets of things to know about my pup, being as detailed as possible so they wouldn't be confused about what to do since he's still a puppy. Two weeks later, we had to ask our friend to pick him up because they said no one could help release the pup on Easter Day. When they went to pick him up, both the bowl and the bed were missing, and they couldn't find them on the spot. They had to be delivered the day after, and ONLY because I made that phone call to confirm if they could find my puppy's bowl and his ginormous bed. During those two weeks, we clearly informed them that we would be out of the country and that SMS wouldn't work, yet they didn't remember until I emailed them, twice. Over the 15 days, I could barely see my pup on the camera, and I only received THREE email updates and one 10-second video of my puppy, which didn't even show anything meaningful. It felt like it was recorded just for the sake of sending something. One of the updates was also sent only after I emailed them the second time. Being told we'd be getting one week of free pet boarding for first-timers was WHY we chose to stay here. The staff also told us we could call for a refund if we were mischarged. Two weeks later, when we called, the lady told me they were going through reorganization, so workers were moving around, maybe that's why things were missing, and that the free first week only applied to daycare. I would have to speak to the manager about my concern. The manager obviously had the answer in mind and avoided my phone calls a couple of times, on top of my calls getting hung up more than 2-3 times during transfer. When she finally picked up, without hesitation to my question, she said she couldn't refund me for the first free week, but she could offer me a discount, or a free daycare day or some other discounts. Lol. What's the difference between giving me back a 1-week refund as your team promised versus a discount? Why not solve the problem instead of dancing around it? Why am I getting "punished" when your workers told me the wrong thing? Sure, you might lose a couple hundred bucks, but what's more valuable is that you're losing is a customer who will no longer trust your business, and the word-of-mouth effect that could've helped bring in more customers. As a business owner, you should understand better why pet owners trust you with their dogs and what they expect, especially in Orange County. Unfortunately, our first experience was horrendous and extremely disappointing. The level of disorganization and hassle is beyond disappointing. If you're looking for a pet boarding hotel, I strongly suggest finding somewhere else. I have been taking my dog to Paw Sweet Paw for about 5 years, and over the past 6 months or so, I've noticed a significant shift in how things are being operated. After reading recent reviews mentioning that the business is under new ownership, some of the changes I've noticed are starting to make more sense. I regularly check the play yard cameras while my dog is boarding, and I've noticed that I've been seeing him in the play yard much less frequently than I used to. They also remove the dogs' regular collars and replace them with paper collars, which I was never particularly comfortable with, but I tried not to read too much into it. However, during his most recent stay, I had an experience that seriously made me question the level of care being provided. My dog stayed for two nights, and during the entire stay, I NEVER saw him on the play yard cameras. I also did not receive any photo updates, which was unusual based on my previous experiences. When I picked him up, I noticed that there were two extra bags of food left with his belongings. I had provided exactly four bags for his two-day stay, so I asked the front desk why there were two bags left over. The employee said she would look into it, and I later found out that my dog had only been fed HALF of the amount of food he was supposed to receive. This made absolutely no sense to me. His online profile specifically states that he is supposed to receive two bags of food per day- one in the morning and one at night. I also separate each serving into individual Ziploc bags specifically to make feeding his meals easy and clear. The employee at the front desk could not explain why the person responsible for feeding him had decided to give him only half of his required food. I was honestly in tears thinking about my dog potentially being hungry for the duration of his stay. And then, after picking him up, I took him outside and he had the longest pee I have ever seen from him, easily 30-45 seconds. That was extremely unusual for him. It made me wonder whether he had been drinking more water because he wasn't getting enough food, and, more concerningly, whether he had not been taken out to the play yard that day at all. He will not go potty in his kennel, so if he wasn't given adequate opportunities to go outside, he may have been holding it. What is perhaps most disappointing is that I never received a call from a manager to explain what happened, apologize, or follow up after such a significant feeding error. I have been a loyal customer of Paw Sweet Paw for five years, which is why this experience was especially upsetting. Mistakes can happen, but when it comes to the care of my dog, I need to be able to trust that his basic needs are being met and that the instructions in his profile are being followed. Unfortunately, I've lost a lot of trust in Paw Sweet Paw after this experience, and I am seriously reconsidering whether I will continue bringing my dog there. read more

Sadly is far from office so tried the Jamboree-- chaotic and all over the place. They left my dog in kennel for four hours instead of doing group play. The veterinarian examined him, performed a fluorescein stain test, and documented corneal ulcers in both eyes. The full medical report and invoice were provided to me. Suki was prescribed ophthalmic antibiotic ointment and an Elizabethan collar for several days. This was a stressful situation for both of us, especially because he had not shown any eye issues prior to the grooming appointment. I am not making any assumptions about exactly how the irritation occurred -- I am simply stating the sequence of events and the information given to me by the emergency veterinarian. Previous Visits This experience was part of a pattern I personally observed during earlier grooming appointments: * September 2025: After grooming, I noticed redness and irritation on his face and rear area. * March 2025: The haircut provided did not match the instructions and example photo I had discussed, and I did not receive the usual pickup notification. I emailed the business about both situations. I did not receive a response, so I decided to keep a record of these experiences. I have taken the dog to daycare at least once a week. I just found out that they rotate dogs from daycare to the boarding pen, if they have more than 15 dogs. I pay for dog play and instead the dog is locked in a closet-sized pen for part of the day. For sure they do this at Spectrum and the manager was very circumspect about Irvine. I was happy to have found this place but sadly, the quality declined quickly. Even though we were bringing her often, mats had built up because my doodle's baths at this groomer didn't include brushing her out. I took her back in a week later to get groomed again. The groomer said the mats were bad and had spread but he would try to cut off as little as possible. We were shocked to pick her up and find that she was shaved. Also, when we picked her up we were told she was now wet in her kennel and they had to dry her off?? She chewed her feet for two days and limped/lifted up her front left foot. Her ears also had a bad odor for the first time. I called on 5/23 and asked for the manager and/or to speak with the groomer. The supervisor said neither was available, that she would talk to them both and call me the next day. Neither the manager nor the supervisor called me back. read more

I am giving a 5 star review solely based on our last stay . Danny the manager was very nice to listen to my frustrations and concerns for previous visits for Waylon . Danny expressed they are trying to make Paw Sweet Paw the place your pup wants to stay and play & appreciate any feedback . Waylon only stayed overnight 1 night . We picked him up , he was happy , playful , smelled great! Not like dog pee :) Didn't get sick, and ate normally . This was huge ! In the past , he got sick almost every time , didn't eat for days and we would have take him to the vet which is an added expense. I definitely think the water needs changing out more frequently. It's nice to see the staff smiling and like they love being there to work and take care of our Doodle . Here's moving forward, we are looking forward to having Waylon board and play there without any unnecessary issues . At the end of the day, it's like a day care for pets , we realize that . I can't say enough good things about this place. After leaving my pups old groomer after realizing they weren't giving him water while he was there, tied with the fact that my dog seemed to fear for his life every-time we dropped him off, and the horrible attitude of the groomers who worked there- finding a new groomer was long overdue. His vet was also letting me down and I didn't feel like they were caring or attentive to my pups or my needs. I had driven by the spectrum location multiple times and saw the great reviews, but was hesitant after another 5 star reviewed place has let me down. Long story short, my pup needed a place to stay last minute and we decided to give it a shot. I was a bit nervous but they immediately soothed any worries. My pup needed his canine influenza shots to board them and they were extremely accommodating! They were able to get him in for his first shot on the SAME following day so he could stay for 5 nights in boarding. Customer service was fantastic, the facility is huge and everyone working there from the vet techs to the front desk and people watching to pups was beyond sweet and helpful. Also, the facility is HUGE. The boarding area can be seen from the second level if you want to take a look, they will let you so you feel extra confident leaving your pup there. The best part of the entire experience? My dog is actually HAPPY and EXCITED to come here! (This is coming from a dog who has major anxiety and is very nervous around people)... We also had him fully groomed during his stay and they did a fantastic job. We've now found our one-stop shop for everything: Boarding, Vet, Grooming's & Daycare. I am honestly so thankful I found these guys because it was a headache taking him to multiple places. The owner of this place clearly knows what he/she is doing. *WARNING - AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE...LITERALLY* We have been bringing our Goldendoodle for bath and groom for over 3 years, and have experienced extreme deterioration in the quality of their services. We have tried several groomers here and every time we find someone we like, they would leave. However, the main reason for the *WARNING* is that we finally found the reason for her stomach issues. Almost every other time we bring our dog in for a service, she comes home with episodes of diarrhea and vomit. We had repeatedly politely requested their staff not to feed our dog water (fear of contamination) and treats (allergy to chicken). However, our dog still comes home with stomach issues to the point we had to spend more money at the vet. Some episodes were so bad we had to rip out our carpet. By our calculation, we have spent over $5,000 in services at PSP and about $3,000 in vet bills due to her stomach issues. We are not the type of people to complaint unless things got extremely severe. Well, we're at that point. We have thought about filing a formal complaint, but it's just not worth our time. My dog just got picked up. Stayed two nights. I picked her up covered in pee on her legs. She smelt so bad and could see how dirty she was( I expected her to be dirty from having fun but covered in pee, that's not what I expect paying $84/night at a pet resort ) She was extremely thirsty, like she was neglected while being there. Absolutely horrible. We have been going here for years and less lately because the last time she was there she came back with scratches and her nose all red like she was locked in her room all day. The quality of care here has clearly went down or the current staff doesn't enjoy what they do. Also upon pick up I witnessed another dog by it self in the training room with multiple puddles of pee. I don't know how long he was in there for but I waited in the front for a while because no one was at the front desk. read more

I really used to like coming here for cost effective baths for my golden. It seems like recently after they've been offering more services and have gotten busier the quality has gone down a lot. Previously it would take me about 2-3 hours to get my golden back from a bath and the last time it took me 5-6 hours. This last time he was even hesitant to go in when he usually has no problem. The last 3 times I got him back as well I've noticed knots on him. I brush him between baths and don't know why after he comes back he has these mats showing. After the first time I called to ask them to pay more attention around his ears/armpits to get rid of knots but it seemed like it went unnoticed. They also usually leave me on hold for 15 mins or more at a time when calling to make appointments. Sadly won't be returning. read more

This is in the same location as Dr Boyd's that closed and I'm thrilled Paw Sweet Paw opened up. They refurbished the place with new toys and they have a nice online reservation system. My dog was very happy and appeared well cared for when I picked him up from daycare. They send you a link with pictures during the day which is awesome! A couple of things that could be improved and are understandable as they are gearing up for more dogs. It's not easy to get someone on the phone and I've been put on hold and forgotten about a couple of times. There's no need to call as long as the online system works but I was trying to make an advance boarding reservation and the system won't allow it since he will have an immunization due before then. I take him to another daycare when I work (Doggie Daycare and More) in Newport and that isn't an issue there. Also you have to make a reservation for daycare which I don't have to do in Newport since it's drop off when I need them. But Paw Sweet Paw is clean and close to home and my Bo is happy and tired today! read more

Update: I stated in my initial review how I had been here several times and it was fine, but the last haircut I got for my dog here was absolutely atrocious. She's a mini goldendoodle and the cutest ball of fluff in the world, but after I picked her up from a cut here they shaved her down basically to her skin. Many people said she looked like a naked mole rat. (Our instructions were to give her a trim, specifically saying "don't cut it too short.") Their explanation was that my dog's fur was matted, but that still didn't excuse shaving her down so much. Other groomers have dematted her fine in the past. I left a poor review, but they responded with great customer service and offered me a free credit for the next cut, so updated my review to 5 stars in the moment, but reflecting back now, that cut is still the worst cut she's ever gotten BY FAR. Sometimes I'll look back at photos on that time period and can't believe how terrible she looked. Sure, the customer service is decent, but it's a groomer after all, so that's what they should be judged on. Oh, and it doesn't help that when I went back to claim my dog's free cut, they said there was no credit in my account. Luckily they still applied it, but the fact that I had to convince them that someone told me on the phone that they would give me a credit and hope that they'd believe me is a problem. I think the biggest issue here is that they don't ask you what you want. I've since been to many other groomers and they always ask so many questions--What length do you like, what style, etc. When I took my dog here, they never asked me any questions; they just rushed her off to the grooming room and left. My only advice to customers here would be to be very specific with what you want, and don't let them get away with not asking your preferences! read more
