Valley Health Urgent Care - Front Royal 65 Riverton Commons…read morePlaza, Front Royal, VA 22630 Urgent care center Stay away. I have no clue why they put "Urgent" in their name; it feels more like a bait-and-switch designed to trap the desperate. There were only four people in the waiting room, yet the indifference there was absolute. They looked me in the eye and ask for my pain level. I told them "Ten', a level of agony that makes every breath a struggle, and they responded with a hollow & scripted "Thank you for your service." It's honestly a sickening irony. I sacrificed my youth and my health fighting in a war that did nothing but fill the coffers of bankers and CEOs, only to come home and wither away in a cold, sterile room while the very system I defended treats my life as a line item on a ledger. Over an hour in & I could hear the nurses outside my door giggling over something, their laughter cutting through the silence of any patients neglect. It was in that moment the realization hit me: Valley Health is just another gear in the same machine. They don't want to heal you; they want to process you. They are part of a predatory system that keeps the wealthy shielded and the rest of us sick, poor, and disposable. I fought for a country that doesn't care if I die in a waiting room, as long as the wheels of industry keep turning. Don't come here expecting care. You are not a patient to them; you are just another service member whose usefulness has expired. I received the following canned response from them: "We appreciate your feedback. When you have a moment, please call 540-536-8122 or email patientexperience@valleyhealthlink.com. Our Patient Experience team would like to hear more about your experience and address your concerns. Thank you." I followed up with an email: My question remains the same: Why is "Urgent"in your name when the definition of the word appears to elude your entire staff? I am not an unreasonable person. I would have climbed onto the MRI machine myself and operated it if it meant ending the agony I was in. Instead, I was left to wallow in a cold room, listening to the casual giggling of your staff outside my door while I sat in level-ten pain. I didn't need a scripted "Thank you for your service"; I needed the basic diagnostic care I am owed as a human being. A quick scan and a referral to the VA would have sufficed. Instead, your facility provided nothing but a reminder of how disposable veterans have become to the corporate healthcare machine. I have reached back out to the Department of Veterans Affairs to formally document this experience. You don't need a phone call to "hear more", you need to fix a culture that prioritizes staff socialization over a patient's excruciating pain. My usefulness to the "system" may have expired in your eyes, but my voice has not.

DR. DAVID F. GOLDBERG, MD is an emergency medicine "specialist" in Winchester, VA…read moreThis review is on behalf of my Dad's treatment at the Winchester ER. This Dr. was the one to provide medical care and treatment if need be to my Dad. July 30th he went to the ER with symtoms of dizziness and overall weakness that has been going on for quite sometime. Dad had been to see a doctor that checked his heart. He received a good report where his heart was concerned. He also had a test done to see if he had a carotid artery blockage, that was a good report as well. He went home, glad that these 2 tests were good, but still wondering what could be wrong with him. Now I should say my Dad is almost 85 years old. He has been a "young" 85 year old and very active until this episode. After being checked into the ER he was told he would get a cat scan. He had a cat scan done with contrast. When DR. DAVID F. GOLDBERG, MD came in to examine my Dad, mind you all records were available to the Dr. he told Dad that he just "had a bad heart" (he just had a test all is well with his heart) and that he was "just old," and "that's the reason why he's feeling this way," and he "should not even have come to the ER." When you call your doctor after hours, they tell you if you're having a medical emergency to go to the ER I would consider lightheadedness to the point of passing out a medical emergency. I wonder, did the doctor even look at his cat scans that he had done that day in the ER.? You can imagine how this made us all feel that my Dad was pushed aside in this way. NOW! Monday morning 8/3 Winchester ER called Dad and said he has a blood flow issue in his head. And now needs to see a Vascular Surgery group to see what needs to be done from here. There are some very nice and caring doctors in Winchester ER. but DR. DAVID F. GOLDBERG, MD is not one of them. His lack of empathy is unbelievable! I don't care how much education or qualification you have, the most important thing is the care and concern of your patients to make them feel heard and safe. DAVID F. GOLDBERG,MD showed my Dad none of this and shewed him out like he was of no importance. DAVID F. GOLDBERG,MD you should be ashamed. You have no business treating patients. I think you'd be better served in a lab or somewhere where you have no contact with patients. And the only reason I left one star, is because I had to leave a star to be able to post this review.

Logic would dictate that a quiet night would mean a quick, attentive visit...but that pesky trauma case that arrives simultaneously can certainly kick that plan on down the road awhile. Which it did. That said, I have no doubt to as to the quality of are we received. The receptionist and intake nurse were kind, the technician was great, and the doctor was appropriately apologetic, and did a fine assessment of my son's injury.
